The industrial designed GA-900 features a 10-sided bezel that resembles the shape of a nut. The bezel is secured by four screws for a tough and rugged look. Combination timekeeping is provided with analog hands along with a digital display for clear readability. The watches strap and all buttons feature checkered surfaces that prevent slipping and contribute to swift operation when on site.

I grew up wearing Casio. From waking up using the alarm function, having a shower, catching a pouring rain or a blazing sun, bicycling, going to the gym, and to the beach, running, arriving in time to work, driving, seeing my girlfriend all the way to checking the time late at night using the illuminator backlight and so on. It's like a little friend that I have on my wrist. Casio watches are made to last, are incredibly well built for the price, not to mention that they keep a good time.

I have had a G Shock for 12 years. Bloody brilliant- never let water in, never needed a new battery, survived all kinds of activities including skiing, house renovations bike crashes etc. Just amazing- defo going to get one of these now.

Only reason buying a new one , my local Watch Hospital knackered my current one whilst changing the battery.

Can confirm i wear my ga-900 at the farm where i use chainsaw, bang it around while reaching into engines, gotten all types of engine fluids on it, and have worn it while running 10km of pipe, underwater, and in temperatures of 45°c to -50°c

I'm actually reminded of the Camel Trophy races that spanned from 1980 to 2000, where they drove those beautiful Sandglow-painted Land Rovers/Range Rovers all around the globe. I wish G-Shock would have released a special 2020 Camel Trophy anniversary memorial watch, as last year marked 40 years since its beginning!

I just bought a blue GA-900 with non-inverted LCD, but to be honest my job isn't one-tenth as physically demanding as shown here.
Beside being durable the design of the watch is just thrilling, let alone the huge battery life time. Especially if you live far from the equator pure battery power is just preferable to solar power.

I got one of these for Christmas 2020. Very nice watch, the light is a little dim. I have the GA900-2A blue with orange accents. I have read other reviews about this watch and some say that the band is black, well mine came blue like the watch and I get quite a few comments about the watch. Would have liked to have seen this watch as a solar model instead of a battery, but hopefully the battery will last 7 years as advertised.
It’ll probably last more like 10 years.

Is the glass scratch resistance?
It's a mineral crystal, compare it to the glass found on higher-end smartphones. It has pretty much the same properties (meaning it can shatter if You're very unlucky, but it's tough nevertheless and can handle minor scratches)

One sharp rock hit to the mineral glass and is game over, also at first test it was not concrete, it was mud
saphire is well scratch resistant so its much more harder than the mineral. as you know hard material equals brittle material. İt makes a sense if you wanna absorb a physical shock.

IMAGINE having to get the cement off that lol.... I would have mounted it in a case and bought another lol... no ways you would get the cement from in between the button or strap. Best watches I have and I have a lot of them.

I bought it, there are some bad sides. Poor lighting, it is impossible to see the LED display in artificial light, and the arrows are difficult to see. When you light up in the dark to see what time it is, you probably don't see where one of the arrow is.

try doing these tests to a genuine swiss made watch. Rolex, Tag, etc...

I don't understand one thing. If casio is making a gshock that tough and durable then why this watch is coming with a plastic buckle??? That kills the whole purpose of toughness and durability. Am i right??? Plastic buckets are acceptable with non gshock casio digital watches that come cheap. But gshocks coming with plastic buckle that a no no. What if that plastic buckle breaks and your gshock or tough gshock is of no use and the whole concept of toughness gone in the wind. Casio u should pay attention to what you're saying and what actually you are doing. You are making a gshock fragile by making it with a plastic buckle. I hope you hear me casio
