Grew up in SF and now living in Sweden! Everyone here have beautiful and full coleus bushes outside during the summer. But I want to try working on a tree next spring. Thanks for the tips 😊
Beutiful, nice job! If you take three like the first one you were holding and take them out of their pots and braid the long stems together, tying the stems with soft strings in three places and repot, you can get the same effect, except with a much thicker looking braided trunk. You can also use three different coleas with similar growth characteristics for a mixed tree.
I love coleus since they can handle full sun outside to a shaded area. Also when spring comes around I place mine outside in full sun and it's color changes plus it grows more vigorous. Then come mid fall I bring it back indoors. Plus they are super easy to water propagate!
Just a question I live in south Texas and I am being my coleus inside my home for the first time after being outside all summer what conditions should I set up in my home to keep my coleus healthy over the winter in Texas?
Coleus are really fast growers! I got two from exchanges this winter and one of them I already got 6 new plants of of it. I didn’t know you could get a tree, might do it with my mother plant. Thanks for the tutorial!
I LOVE your NAME! ❤ ..your VOICE, is soooo soft & soothing. ..and I love how you share, a bit more about other things that can be done with the plant. I'll check out some more of your videos! (subb'd) Thanks for sharin'! In love, light & unity, stay safe & stay sane!✌❤
Wow your pink coleus is stunning. Mine has a bunch of vibrant leaves but more than enough dull wilted ones. Hoping I can get it looking like yours with your recommendations!
Thank you I loved your video! I got my coleus from a neighbor, I repotted it because the soil was completely rock hard and it seems well now however none of the branches have grown upwards only to the sides. Do you think I should take cuttings and propagate so it grows nicely? The main stem is also brown and looks very dry but the other branches are green and leaves are fine, I’m not sure what to do. Thanks :)
Girl you look like a young Halle Berry. Simply stunning. Oh yeah y'all listen to her tips about Coleus . I have many in my home and she's spot on in the care tips.
Not sure if you’ve found your answer, but I’ve found smaller pots, usually plastic and preferably clear, work really well. Put the seed in darkness until you see a growth sprouting to help germinate. Clay wicks too much water from seeds.
If you want a much straighter trunk makes sure the support is right next to it otherwise you'll end up with a bended trunk, unless that's what you want.
I have not had it for a full year yet so I will be able to let you know after this winter lol. But I imagine that as long is it doesn't drop below 50F in the house it should be fine.

To keep the color vibrant use fish emulsion when watering🥰 the stuff stinks but coleus plants LOVE it!

Know I’m way too late with this answer, but mine stayed alive during Norwegian winter, so I bet they’ll do just fine in California 😅
Did you have colues again?
Your videos are amazing!!! I didnt know I want one until you show your coleus 😂
Glad you like them! A Coleus is a great addition to the home.
Thank you
I just planted 3 Coleus cuttings that I got from a neighbor 3 days ago! What are the odds.
