I just love this car with all the carbon parts and a full set of titanium screws the original version had. Man, that was high tech back then and I think it would probably still be? There weren’t many Egresses in Finland because it was so damn expensive. The original Egress was actually the last Tamiya car I had and the very one I begun my racing career with. I think I was something like 14 or 15 year old that time (now I’m 42 lol) but I still remember building it and it was just awesome. Later switched to Kyosho, Schumacher and Yokomo (I still have some of them). Lots of very good memories with Egress. Just before Egress I had an Avante (and a Clod Buster and a Hot Shot as my very first car) as well so I can relate to your exitement 100%. Many thanks for the channel, I love it. You’re such a genuine and down-to-earth guy and easy to listen to with your nice accent. Keep it going, buddy!
I like your enthusiasm. I do also the same ,looking to the front, looking to the back. Drop it on the table. Compressed the front, compres the back. Turn around.😀I love it. Very nice video. I'm ready for your running 👍👍 You can't have enough Egress💪
Hi Glen!!! Glad to hear you will be doing the longer Saturday videos!! Awesome news!! And again you have entertained the masses!! That egress is .. ( in your accent!) dead sexy!!! Well done my friend! Thanks
Absolutely awesome Glenn. Can not wait to see the running video. Totally agree with you regarding the front shock mod to make it the same as the original. It looks proper sick. 👍🏻👍🏻
Watching your channel for awhile now, fast becoming a favourite. Never had an Tamiya as a kid but remember staring at the wall of them at Beaties.. I was an impatient kid and the thought of having to build it, before I could play, just wasn’t in my head. Your love and enthusiasm of these kits has inspired me to have a go.. Thanks. Keep up the great work, all the best.
Hi Glenn, these are your videos if people don’t like the length they can always use the fast forward button. I for one love listening to you the more exited you get the more we know how good the car is. Your a very passionate chap and we know just by your voice weather it’s good or not. So please stop worrying about the one or two complaints about length of videos the majority love them and you just the way you/they are. There’s enough to worry about at the moment without this ok 😅👍🏻 you take care, stay safe, thanks for all you do for us mate, Kenny 😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
1:55 => For those who want to bash their Egress hard: Glue the end plates of the wing with 12-24 h Epoxy ! The 2 small screws are a predetermined breaking point. So is the front carbon shock tower (held by just 2 screws with just 1or 2mm of carbon around them to the sides...).
Absolutely loved that video. I can see why your so chuffed. Thanks for going through the shell procedure in detail. Would also like to see some spraying. The whole process from wash to decal application. Maybe speeded up? Great Looking buggy though. 👍🏼🏁
Great video buddy! Today's lunch was roast lamb leftovers although chips were mentioned! Looking forward to seeing the videos that are coming up! Hope the cough gets better!
Very nice. I have the same kit but I have not built it yet. I am planning on painting it pearl white. I think I will also paint the underside black or leave it clear.
2024 and I just got my re issue egress. I haven’t seen one since 1992 so I’m really looking forward to my build. I have my blue turn buckle ends. Brand new in the bag vintage Terra Scorcher ones.
Awesome! I am as enthusiastic as you when building a new pc. I love your videos, brings back memories of my one and only Tamiya rc kit: King Blackfoot :)))
Love the look of the Egress - and that Avante looks totally awesome as well! Would really be interested to hear how different the Egress and the Avante are in terms of handling. Great video Glen!
Droop isn't a bad thing as it translates to terrain following unsprung traction when the wheel drops into a hollow and has grip, overlooked dynamic that's seen as a flaw!!!
Yes I’ve no doubt affected it’s handling by doing this, but this will pretty much only run on tarmac James. I’m actually out with it today for it’s first run 😊👊🏻
You've done a fine job, it's looking awesome. Think I will have to get me an Egress. On the subject of stance, I prefer my buggies to sit low too. Looks awesome! 👌
… and breathe :) blimey mate are you ok? or is it just excitement :) she is rather beautiful it has to be said, of course I shall never own one as they rarer than a lorry load of durga's but there we are, I shall content myself with watching you enjoy building and running yours. Thanks for the super content as always.
I know the Velcro is called for but I hate putting it on a brand new freshly painted body and it’s such a pain in the ass to get on/off - I’d especially never put it on a shelfie - beautiful car though, one of the coolest ever made IMO!!!
Hi Glenn why not do what Adam @Rc Australia is doing and giveaway one of your Avante's to a lucky subscriber 👍 By the it looks awesome great work as always! Looking forward to the running action! 👍
Glenn you should run the egress on some sort of make shift course for a few laps in stock form, then when the new body comes in and you swap the hi caps for the big bores run it on the same course and tell us what differences you can notice.
Beautiful! Technically, If this were a real buggy, the rear wing would be be adjusted flatter. This is inherently a rear biased vehicle, so wing is most likely for high speed stability 😎
Love it and all your vids. I'd be interested in seeing the different centre drive configurations. I've got an Avante and the centre diff seems to slip and scream, despite having tightened it.
TAMIYA Legends sharp scalpel and don’t press too hard - you only need to scratch the lexan really. Makes wheel arches sooooo much easier - hang on I did a video tutorial
id give it a bit more rake. lift the rear end maybe 2-3mm would make it really aggressive looking. and yeah lets see the center dif mod from the other car
@@TAMIYALegends just wish i could find a kit that wasnt insanely priced Tamiya needs to re-issue these again. current prices are as much as 600 or 700 size heli that has WAY more parts and CF in it lol
Aw man, you can't just show us the body parts without a satisfying protective layer peel off! Doesn't matter how it comes off, that is the best part after stickering.. She's a beauty though, just wow.
i was quite dissapointed when I ran mine. It's running a 10t brushless and suffers major grip roll on the field behind my house and on the local Astro track, such a shame as it looks awesome.
The Egress & the Astute for me are the pinnacle of Tamiya box art design / looks - absolutely stunning!!!
Just the simple truth....
100% agree Paul 🤩🤩🤩
You gotta start a gofundme to send you to Tamiya in Japan to visit the company. Maybe get a tour. You are THE man for the job!
God I would love that 🤩
Don’t think people would pay for me too go though 😂👊🏻
TAMIYA Legends I don’t know about that! I’d chip in $10. Shouldn’t take too long to scrap it together!
Nice!!! looking good painted in PS12, proper old school!
Thanks buddy 😊👊🏻
I love it. You're giddy like a kid on Christmas morning lol
Excellent 🤩👊🏻

I blew a fuse when the avante came out !!!! Great vid .
Lol Matt, yeah it’s quite the duo my friend 🤩🤩🤩
I like your enthusiasm. I do also the same ,looking to the front, looking to the back. Drop it on the table. Compressed the front, compres the back. Turn around.😀I love it.
Very nice video. I'm ready for your running 👍👍
You can't have enough Egress💪
Excellent my friend I think we are all still kids at heart 🤩👊🏻
Tamiya cars have always been the best looking. I had a Falcon and a King Cab back in the 90's. I loved them! Great video!
Awesome job Glenn, that egress is the mutts nuts.
You make cutting out look easy..I bloody hate cutting out.
Oh I struggle with it buddy 😭
Thanks for watching 😊👊🏻
Great video but the enthusiasm is even better! Take it easy with the Egress on the beach. Looking forward to seeing next episode.😃
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻

I have been waiting for this day! Can’t go wrong with the original, the 2013 Tamiya logo just doesn’t cut it. Thanks a lot for this!
Well thank you for watching my friend 🤩👊🏻
Absolutely love this video. Your excitement is so infectious!!!😄. One of my favourite videos of yours!!! Brilliant stuff! 😃👍👍
When you put the Avante next to it I was gobsmacked! Those are 2 stunningly beautiful cars!!! Well done!
Thank you my friend 🤩👊🏻

Thank you 😊

What a beaut! Think i've gotta go get one now. Have put off getting the Egress so many times!
Sweet 🤩👊🏻
That Egress is The Business!! 💯👊 Epic!! And the Egress/Anante side b side is just Bling overload ! 🤩👊👍
Cheers Wes, yeah they look great together my friend 🤩👊🏻
Just awesome Glenn - they're the best builds, aren't they! Well done! :)
Thanks James 🤩👊🏻
Love the Egress. Tamiya's best ever
Thanks for watching 😊👊🏻
Wow she's a beauty!

Excellent thanks for the feedback my friend 🤩👊🏻
It looks great..the lower stance reminds me of a 4wd mini
Yes it does I’d not thought of it like that 🤩👊🏻
You do such a great job on those kits. Maybe some day when I have more time I’ll get into that.
Thanks for sharing and have a fabulous day.
Thanks buddy 😊😊😊
Looks great, mate! Stunning. Good job. And yeah, looks great with the Avante. “Oh my word” 🥰
You never shut up, don’t you? 😅☺️😉 Just teasing. Love it. Thumbs up.👍🏻
Nordic RC Visions
I don’t 😂👊🏻
Looks slicker with the wing low especially with it dumped
Yeah I’m all about the stance, in fact that’s more important to me than the performance 😂👊🏻
I love your passion and enthusiasm Glenn 👍🏻
David Wilson
Thanks David 😊👊🏻
Awesome. Can't wait for the Avante......
Thanks Matt, video coming soon my friend 😊👊🏻
Absolutely superb!
Thank you 😊😊😊

Oh roast lamb 😋😋😋
True piece of art right there.
Thanks buddy 😊
THAT IS RC PERFECTION! 😱👊 gorgeous vehicle brotha 👌
Thanks man 😊👊🏻
Very cool looking car.
Thanks Mark 😎👊🏻
Very nice. I have the same kit but I have not built it yet. I am planning on painting it pearl white. I think I will also paint the underside black or leave it clear.
Excellent Robert, I think white is actually the best colour for the Egress 🤩👊🏻
Great car! I love my Egress!
Thanks for watching Adam 😊👊🏻
Just got my first order from mci , very happy! Grate car.
Excellent Michael 😎👊🏻
Cracking video! Good luck for the running tomorrow-looking forward to seeing the Durga... 👍🏽
Thanks Greg 🤩👊🏻
Love the video. Mine finally arrived so now in the Egress club. Boom!
I've had many hours spent by just watching to this car in my so beloved Tamiya RC catalog's. This is such a nice car! Great video and instant sub!
Great video Glen, the Egress is my No.1. You should release some Tamiya Legends stickers that say "Boom! Look at that!"
Haha you crack me up mate! 👌
Those 2 together! It's a shame they can't get it on & reproduce... Lol 😁.
Hanging for the run video's Columbo lol 🍻🦘🇦🇺
Lol 😂 thanks buddy 🤩👊🏻
So awesome! I want one so much I can taste it! Though I do like my buggies to ride a little higher haha. My goodness. You really did an amazing job!
Thanks buddy 🤩🤩🤩

Excellent that video is in the queue my friend 🤩👊🏻
This was always a gorgeous looking car.

Building dreams Glenn. They look awesome with the lowered stance, I'm considering draining my shocks on my Avante and doing the same.
Excellent 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching my friend 👊🏻
Awesome! I want one so bad! I love Tamiya, but you are The Godfather of Tamiya! I’m not worthy.... I’m not worthy!😉
Such a Awesome looking buggy I love it man and hopefully sometime soon I can own one myself.
You've done a fine job, it's looking awesome. Think I will have to get me an Egress. On the subject of stance, I prefer my buggies to sit low too. Looks awesome! 👌

19:25 => Tamiya Royalty. The King and the Queen together on their thrones :)
Absolutely my friend 🤩🤩🤩
Ripper mate. Any chance you could do Fox build in the near future?
Yeah hopefully if I can find one at a decent price 😊👊🏻
I know the Velcro is called for but I hate putting it on a brand new freshly painted body and it’s such a pain in the ass to get on/off - I’d especially never put it on a shelfie - beautiful car though, one of the coolest ever made IMO!!!

Tamiya PS-41 is referred to as "Bright Silver" in case you were wondering.
Thanks Kamal 😎👊🏻
Hi Glenn why not do what Adam @Rc Australia is doing and giveaway one of your Avante's to a lucky subscriber 👍 By the it looks awesome great work as always! Looking forward to the running action! 👍
Thanks buddy, unfortunately I can’t afford to give a car away 😞😞😞
I like the looks of the Egress more than of the Avante 😅 your's looks just stunning

Just a shame that both the Egress and Avante appear to be discontinued- love the build Glenn
Thanks for watching Chris 👊🏻
Yeah unfortunately there getting harder to find now 😞
Love it and all your vids. I'd be interested in seeing the different centre drive configurations. I've got an Avante and the centre diff seems to slip and scream, despite having tightened it.
Well jel 😁👍🏻
Thanks for watching buddy 😊👊🏻
Glenn I just got a grasshopper. First tamiya in 17 years.
Oh wow that’s awesome Brad, what a great little buggy it is, so much fun to be had with them 🤩👊🏻
Lovely car
Try the score and fold approach for cutting out the body - it makes for a much smoother edge :)
Yeah I’m having a dabble with that method at the moment, finding it a bit hit and miss though 😬
TAMIYA Legends sharp scalpel and don’t press too hard - you only need to scratch the lexan really. Makes wheel arches sooooo much easier - hang on I did a video tutorial
TAMIYA Legends ua-cam.com/video/BlvlHQnABAs/v-deo.html
The stickers are the hardest part when you have big hands, enjoyed Bro 👍🏻
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
would look superb with a box art astute next to her :D
Oh yes hopefully one day, tempted to get a super Astute to do as the original 😊😬
id give it a bit more rake. lift the rear end maybe 2-3mm would make it really aggressive looking. and yeah lets see the center dif mod from the other car

Yes lol 😂. It’s so satisfying to peel it off 😎👊🏻
It’s still like 700 in Australia
Love, got so many NIB but cannot bring myself to build. Trying to find another to build or find a rare rere Avante............prices creeping up!

Yeah people rave about running them, I’m looking forward to seeing it go 🚗💨💨💨
Put the avante back on the shelf the egress is the star of the show 🤩
Haha love it 🤩🤩🤩
Glenn! I want one.. too bad it's VERY EXPENSIVE!
Finally got one, The Black Edition :)
Hi Glenn
Hey buddy 😎👊🏻
11:13 Spoken like a true Yorkshireman 😉
Ministrone
I’m too tight 😂👊🏻
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 😊
Hi You just need another 2 Egress's and have each one with a different center diff. 🤭🤭
Lol Alan, sounds expensive 😂👊🏻
Giddy Scotsman. Lol
🤪🤪🤪
Where can I buy the BF8 (4305247) & BF9 (4305246) front damper mounts..👀
cRown Pie
You’ll really struggle to find them, but look at the Fyberlite website, they do them in carbon 👊🏻
