Nice walk around the annex and Yorkville area I enjoyed it. Your walks are always wonderful and great, brings back great memories for me. Looking forward to more of your walking videos. I hope your weekend is going well. 😀❤
Though I prefer winter, I must say that Toronto is looking really good in these summer videos. That freshly resurfaced road on Bloor with new paint looks very clean. The quality of your recent videos too seems to be better than usual. I'm really loving all the videos since (and including) your drive to Mississauga.
19 degrees, wow. Lol, you did this beautiful walk of my ole 'hood the one day that temps took a 'dip', considering it was high 20's to mid 30's for weeks prior to that. And so quiet for a Friday evening in the Annex. Still, so beautiful. You have the perfect voice for these strolls. Thanks for this :)
I cant believe you did this. I really appreciate it. I lived right round there and would walk every night, all over that area. Sorry to see that Honest Ed's is gone. I would shop there for odd's n ends, even though I could get some of it elsewhere I would often just get it there because the place was so bizarre. Glad to see some of the businesses still doing business however. Was so good to see some of it again. I now live in a small town out in the country, but I am beginning to think it would be nice to just walk around here and share the town with the world, like you are doing. It would be a much shorter series, but it might be nice for people to see. Truly appreciate what you are doing, sharing a ground level view of Toronto, with all its good and grim. Does anyone remember the show "King of Kensington"? We used to watch it when I was a kid. Always got it confused with Barney Miller. I was pretty young at the time... Thank you!

Thanks for showing me around my old stomping ground. No more hippies, most are dead and gone. Some spent their autumn years in Whitby. Its still a lively place, so thanks you for showing.
Here for 1 more day, lets go lol On a more serious note, we are enjoying being able to see with our own eyes some of the places you've shown on your channel 😊 we love your videos
@@enrico4092 our own city's buildings are but a fart in the wind compared to this place! We love it 😁 also, driving is a lot easier than we anticipated lol
There is a little old building on Bedford. Had you panned north, it's visible. The old Edgar Tarr House. It used to stand at 230 Bloor St. West next to the Swiss Chalet. In it's place is an ugly new hotel. I briefly lived at Rochdale 50 years ago. I now live in the burbs and am moving back to the city, hopefully into the Rochdale building. Now a apt.bldg. for seniors.
Yeah, there’s having been to rock festivals in the era ( did, but missed Woodstock), having been to Haight-Ashbury San Francisco ( missed that, sadly ), and having lived at Rochelle ( Oh yeah, sure did that - Rochdale and Yorkville).
having grown up in the annex , there are some nice streets to go for a walk . you could walk up Madison ave and you will see small concrete pyramid on the blvd., these were for tying up .horses. very unique looking homes.
Yes you've walked the annex several times but yet to mention that it was known one time as little Hungary. That was looooong before little Korea was ever on the west side.
Hi Johnny I’m pretty new to your channel, I’ve been following you for about 2 weeks. I’ve been going down the line from newest and going down the line. I really enjoyed this post. I can see why the annex is one of your favorite areas. I really liked both areas you covered. I would love to visit Toronto. From what Ken and yourself have shown it looks like a lovely city full of life and adventure. Thanks again for a great video.
As I commented, but am somewhat focusing on more now, I would request a video of Kensington Market. It even had a show made about it, called the King of Kensington. A CBC production I believe. I used to walk around there a fair bit. Thank you so much for showing these places. I cant visit Toronto these days... but this is the next best thing. Thank you!
Considering this was your third video recording of the day, you did great job. Especially, like you stated, the lack of energy in the streets. But I was so glade you ran into my photographer who had taken pictures of my Hyundai. This was unbelievable.
Please make some more videos with no talking or severely less commentary. While some appreciate it, some others just want to watch and hear the sounds of the city only.
Check out Jerome Forestwood's channel if you want to see quieter Toronto vids. The videos where I don't talk don't do nearly as well so I have no intention on changing things.
@@JohnnyStrides and you think that's related to you talking less? It's likely due to the area the videos in. Just please talk less. You talk WAY too much. You don't need to make a comment every 10-15 secs on something that LITERALLY no one cares about.
