Of all the Highway to Hell drum covers I have seen on UA-cam, this is the most accurate one. A lot of people think this song is just a straight forward typical groove, but there are a lot of little dynamics that you ensured to capture, such as the the bass drum differences on both verses, the extra snare hit on the first part of the first chorus, the sizzles in the second verse. Only a drummer notices these things, but you captured them all. My only criticism...is use your other crash cymbal. You have that beautiful right side Zildjian K that was just begging to be smacked on those choruses. lol Other than that... Outstanding job!
Can I just say a big thank. I got my first drum set at Christmas. I'm 52 !! . This video has enabled me to drum along with you. Can you please also cover BACK IN BLACK and HELLS BELLS in the same way. Many , many thanks.
@@darksoulwarrior9662 You can go electric, but I'd recommend a small acoustic kit, with Remo Silentstroke heads and Zildjian Low Volume Cymbals. This will feel like an acoustic kit, but be MUCH quieter.
Great cover ! Nice job on keeping the right groove too !! Love the way it is filmed also with the pedal camera. Makes this easy to follow and learn. Keep doing these man 🤘
The flam? The timing of it can be tricky. Just slow it down and count it. The flam comes in on the '+ of 3'. So count eighth notes with the groove, and then flam on '+ of 3', ie. 1+2+3+'. Once you've done that slowly a few times, gradually build off the tempo. You want to naturally feel when to flam, so you're completely relaxed when this bar comes around. Loop it slow is the key.
Hey! Great cover! I am a drummer too and would love to cover some AC/DC but UA-cam won’t let me due to copyright. I was wondering how you were able to post your cover without having your video blocked cause of copyright. Cheers!
Hey @Sara Varro Drummer , what I did was to reply to the copyright block explaining that it’s just a drum cover for recreational purposes.. worked after 2 weeks! By the way, would you be so kind to check my little kid’s version of this song? ua-cam.com/video/p_qWMxWh-0s/v-deo.html
Hi! Sure, I'm using a DW Collectors Series drum kit, Zildjian K Custom Dark Cymbals, Remo Ambassador Coated on my snare, Remo Emperor Coated on my toms, Remo Powerstroke 3 on my bass drum, Vic Firth American Classic 5A drumsticks.

Nice! That's great to hear.
Much more convincing than competitors's covers, especially the accent put on rim shots.
