Well, it is exhausting when going up with a load for several days. Normally, however, I would not bring that much gear so it would be easier. Well, I start my winter hiking season in the middle of January. At that time we normally have enough snow, and the sun is about to return. Before that I define it as training season. From about September I start training the dogs with a cart, and once we get snow, we start with skiing and sled/pulka. Middle of May we end the winter season. Then the snow is melting hard and the river grows.
