I love how the stunt double is a much shorter man than the actor (when he first steps into engineering you can tell he's taller than the man in the actual fight scenes).
Hey, Picard let Wesley and Barclay took over his ship. Two separate occasions, not a teaming-up of onboard nerds. He even got Troi in charge of the bridge and, in a separate occasion, piloting the ship.
I have never had any complaint whatsoever with the special effects of the time-and indeed I don't think they should have been updated-but I must confess some of the instances of conspicuous stunt doubles in this great old show were … well, amusing, but in moments when amusement was not called for. :-)
Foots give it up to the Engineering Staff. They immediately leap into any random crew members who walk in. . Here we see the difference between Red Shirts, and Red Jumpsuits. Red shirts die. Red Jumpsuits get knocked out with one punch.
the enterprise easily has more than just 25 security force. assuming you split the ship in 4 groups command 143 engineering/security 144 science/medical 143 so for gold shirt people - 143 people engineers - 72 security - 72 science 71 medical - 72 so just going by that it's quite sad that the ship can be hijacked or taken over by not just androids but space hippies.
They needed a crack security chief. We heard the voice of a guy (a producer?) claiming to be the Security Chief in one episode from the speaker on Kirk's chair.
@legalizemarijuananos If you think that, then why do you watch Star Trek? BTW, your belief is false. Star Wars wouldn't even exist without Star Trek, so how can you call it better?
On the contrary, the acting was EXCELLENT! You can say the worst acting in history for that next generation stuff, which is childish and stupid, that next generation stuff should have been cancelled from the start, it is that bad.
Well, in the 1960s that is how a robot would talk. Smart Beavis and Smart Butthead talk like that today. Scotty did his best, "I am too weak Palpatine pose".
An android taking over the ship single-handedly? I’ll need to gather more Data on the subject!
I love how the stunt double is a much shorter man than the actor (when he first steps into engineering you can tell he's taller than the man in the actual fight scenes).
When Norman entered the bridge, I would have liked Kirk to say "Crewman, do I know you?" XD
“We mean you no harm.”
Tell that to the guys who just lost teeth in the Engineering section.
Norman being an android, as strong as he is, I'm surprised he didn't kill any redshirts in engineering.
Thats some high speed, low drag ,gyro operated ,futuristic circuitry in that android.
"Scotty, the intruder's in your area!"
Yeah, we kinda noticed ...
It's a good thing they didn't try to change course while Norman was on his way to the bridge...💥
It would have been a blast!
I mean you no harm, while the ship was trigged to detonate upon tampering.
I love the dodgy looking hinge on that flap of the robot I thought their bodies lasted a thousand years.
Star Fleet Admiral: "What? Kirk's let the Enterprise be taken over again???!!!"
Hey, Picard let Wesley and Barclay took over his ship. Two separate occasions, not a teaming-up of onboard nerds. He even got Troi in charge of the bridge and, in a separate occasion, piloting the ship.
Interesting that CBS showed the classic effects for Norman’s inner workings instead of their updated effects.
That circuit board looks mighty old even for then.
But it had T R A N S I S T O R S
@@jaywalkersunite It's a transistor, Mister!
They changed it in the special edition.
The robot's circuitry looks primitive even for the 1960s, like somebody just took it from a broken transistor radio.
I thought the belly circuitry was one of the most pathetic props in the whole series.
This really should be titled Hi jacked again!😅
I have never had any complaint whatsoever with the special effects of the time-and indeed I don't think they should have been updated-but I must confess some of the instances of conspicuous stunt doubles in this great old show were … well, amusing, but in moments when amusement was not called for. :-)
Back in the olden days, on grainy TV tube sets, they were much harder to notice. High resolution has its costs!
To quote Mr. Spock: "Agreed."
I once took the Enterprise on a joyride one day. IT WAS AN ANTIMATTER BLAST.
“I am not programmed to respond in that area.”
STORMIN NORMAN!
Foots give it up to the Engineering Staff. They immediately leap into any random crew members who walk in.
.
Here we see the difference between Red Shirts, and Red Jumpsuits. Red shirts die. Red Jumpsuits get knocked out with one punch.
As a kid , when I first saw that fight scene I was shocked.
Data would be proud.
They have a 25 man security force. In so many episodes like this they never seem to be around.
the enterprise easily has more than just 25 security force.
assuming you split the ship in 4 groups
command 143
engineering/security 144
science/medical 143
so for gold shirt people - 143 people
engineers - 72
security - 72
science 71
medical - 72
so just going by that it's quite sad that the ship can be hijacked or taken over by not just androids but space hippies.
Donut break.
They needed a crack security chief. We heard the voice of a guy (a producer?) claiming to be the Security Chief in one episode from the speaker on Kirk's chair.
Phasers, Mr. Spock.
This is just like an episode of Garth Marenghi!!!!!!!!!!
That William Shatner used to be a hot piece. Yum-may!
This blue shirt intruder must be a cousin of DATA 🤣🤣
I love the original series Star Trek fights
Gives a new meaning to hostile takeover
He wore a blue shirt bc he knows that red shirts alway get killed!
What would Data have done against Norman
Stuntman looks nothing like the actual actor.
Rofl I know he's like 5 inches shorter and 15 years older.
I wonder what version of Android (OS) he's running by this time in the future.
The guy’s a humanoid android!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhh
Abs of steel... wire.
Aren't they supposed to self-destruct when they lose control of the ship anyway?
That was a bluff perpetrated on the half-black/half-white guys. It wouldn't work on androids.
Harry again
Speed 300 years late
Is this guy Data's daddy?
I don't think it's a Soong android. Soong androids, yes, even Lore, have more class than his type of android.
@legalizemarijuananos off star trek11 yes
but star wars cannot compare to TOS,New Voyages TMP and TNG thats for sure
9/11 moment
Why is Kirk's a units instead of personnel ? Boo
I think the actor grabbed Shatners arm a little too hard.
In the 60s all computers had to have flashing lights. Even then I thought it was goofy at best.
Star Trek fight scenes were the worst.
@TheManiacOnWheelsUSA whoa wait seriously 11 years? u gotta be jokin man? O_O 11 whole years was all it took to bring star wars out?
@legalizemarijuananos If you think that, then why do you watch Star Trek?
BTW, your belief is false.
Star Wars wouldn't even exist without Star Trek, so how can you call it better?
some of the worse acting in history....lol
You have displayed some of the worst grammar and punctuation in history too.
On the contrary, the acting was EXCELLENT! You can say the worst acting in history for that next generation stuff, which is childish and stupid, that next generation stuff should have been cancelled from the start, it is that bad.
