Pete is such an impressive person. Not even considering how damn funny he is, his emotional intelligence is just off the charts. It's rare to see people as kind and thoughtful, especially for a guy in the toxic stand-up world. I'm honestly jealous that Rick gets the opportunity to sit and have an hour + silly and earnest chat with him.
I'd argue he's not in the toxic stand-up world exactly, I think he only works in la Hoya or just 1 home club that, most likely, caters to him completely.
Fully agree Tim. I just don't agree with the butterfly theory. And the starfish story. I often argue the other way with the" restaurant story" (air quotes from Adam devine using thumbs, shout out this is important) so I worked a restaurant and the amount of 6 pack plastic turtle killers that are thrown into the garbage is crazy. So when I'm at home "doing my part" it seems like insanity. Culture change vs moment change. Moment change is analogous to masterbation, it's so much more just for you.
Most of the time I turn on a podcast and do other things while listening. For this one, I found myself completely enthralled. Completely still, just watching and listening. This was excellent. Love both of these dudes. I feel like they captured something, or many things, that really matter here.
This whole episode is great as usual, but my fave moment is Pete's laugh at 1:14:49 when he looks at the cameras to be like "did you all just see how funny that was?" Such a genuine and sweet reaction. Pete's the best, Rick's the best. Great ep! Love these men.
Listening to Pete’s podcast for years is one of the main things that helped me through deconstruction of my very toxic religious upbringing. Watching two of my favorite podcasters come together is blissful. I need Pete to come back with Adam and Rick and get silly Willy for a 2 hour.
i couldn't love Pete Holmes more and I firmly believe he will without question go down as one of the greats. Not just because of his comedy, but because of the infinite reservoir of empathy he possesses.
Honestly I don’t listen to every episode when it comes out but I always go back to them when I have time. TYSO gets me more excited than any show on tv ever or any other podcast. Such a stress reliever. Oh and I was one of the first ones to buy a tyso shirt what now seems like so long ago. I think I want one of them hats now
I wasn't feeling all right and I haven't done any work for the last 3 months and I didn't know what was missing. It was this podcast, it's great, top notch, really needed it! 👍
I just finished the whole “As We See It” season from start to finish and it was so great! When a script hits like that I get so excited for the lines and rewind to hear the lines again. You did phenomenal and everyone on set. Thank you for putting it out there!
Loved when Pete says and we’re back to the “ “ and Ricky snaps … thought Rick was gonna snap back to the previous moment but it was just an “and we’re back” bit!!!
I could say I'm here commenting for the algorithm, but really I just wanted to say that I love this friendship. I would only want to talk to the two of you if you came to my birthday party.
I sincerely loved this episode and your descriptions of how you think and view things Ricky is the best, I feel like you describe things the way I describe things to my wife and I don’t feel alone. Your the best..Hooah
Pete is like always bursting at the seams with silly shit. Such a good guest on shows that encourage a silly goose time like TYSO and Jeremiah Wonders. I don't know why, but the little "caught you hosting" moment at the start had me giggling like a little girl. 😂😂
Someone fell off of Snake Way! (35:23) TYSO is like a breath of fresh air. My favorite part is watching the direction Rick's interview goes! New guests should do some homework before launch. Hoping another Adam Ray & Brent Morin episode is in the works! You guys are amazing together!
I feel like Pete took the end of pod questions about his comedy as picking into his mindset negatively but Rick looked to be seeking advice on how to transition silliness into more profound standup without losing the silly

❤Amen!
i audibly gasped when this showed up on my feed, cant wait to sit back and watch these 2 legends

What a gem of an episode. That ending was so good!!
“An appreciation for the show that is life”
When Rick cries I cry. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to every week.
The timing of the alarm with Pete about to drop a profound bomb! Legendary :)

Will watch any pod Pete is on and now I've discovered how awesome TYSO is!! Just subscribed. :)
Pete is such a sweetheart, always love to see him!
Omg Pete holmes’ various laughs bring me so much joy!!!!
I wasn't feeling all right and I haven't done any work for the last 3 months and I didn't know what was missing.
It was this podcast, it's great, top notch, really needed it! 👍
"As The Great Rick Glassman would say,
Edit it in." Yannis Pappas
Gave a great shout out to u when he had on Louie CK & Joe List.
Adam sounds like hes doing Kevin Spacey in every southern roll hes been in.

Seconds in and already dying, Pete's face and tone when he says "...Who likes Tom & Jerry?"
Rick, I hope you know that we all agree with Pete in regards to how funny you are. ❤
pete is saying that to be polite
Loved when Pete says and we’re back to the “ “ and Ricky snaps … thought Rick was gonna snap back to the previous moment but it was just an “and we’re back” bit!!!
1:31:54 if there's one thing that's true about Rick, it's that he respects a hard-set boundary.
The two best Al Pacino impressions I’ve ever seen have been on this podcast. Hoo-Ah!
What an ending! Also, I hope Pete has Rick on You Made it Weird soon! Then Rick can set a 3 hour timer
The episode has been out for 50 minutes what did u fast forward to the ending? Lol
I listened to it on iTunes earlier. Commenting for the algorithm 😁

“An appreciation for the show that is life” and the starfish story are 2 things I will take with me
Did he ever tell the Perhaps story?
Sorry Adam but Pete wins the Pacino-off easy
Another great episode! I especially loved Rick’s take on comedy being a language
Pete threw away the line "We're each other's cameras" and I had to pause the episode it hit me so hard. Goddamn.
I brought that up with several friends in the following weeks.
Haven't watched yet but i just KNOOOOOW these two will be great together
What did you think? Where disapointed?
Ahhh great energy from jump street! Excited to watch this whole thing.
I sincerely loved this episode and your descriptions of how you think and view things Ricky is the best, I feel like you describe things the way I describe things to my wife and I don’t feel alone. Your the best..Hooah
Wow! I really like this guy and thank you for sharing his podcast!
I just want everyone to know how freaking funny my boy Rick is!
Somebody showed me Brian Regan's "I WALKED ON THE MOON" and that was it, I'm hooked, he's top 5 for sure.
Love how Adam calls up and does Cal Pacino from North Carolina or whatever that was.
So stoked to listen to this
The floss lmao I was like “is rick gonna let it go?!…..nope”
Pete feels oddly defensive, i love when he has a silly goose time.
omg pacino vs pacino was the best ty for making that happen rick it made me happy thanx!
Yes. Thanks you two. Bless u
appreciate the details in tyso, the first transition when petey walks in is a nice touch
I didn't know Rick, I'm a Pete fan but now I'm also a Rick fan, had to sub. Great episode!
“That is not because I love the Lord” 😂
Dueling Pachinos was awesome.
2 of the most off-the-cuff naturally funny dudes together in the same room. Holy shit.
Pete is like always bursting at the seams with silly shit. Such a good guest on shows that encourage a silly goose time like TYSO and Jeremiah Wonders.
I don't know why, but the little "caught you hosting" moment at the start had me giggling like a little girl. 😂😂
One of your best yet! Thanks for sharing
Oooof the last 5 mins of this was gold. More please.
When Pete flossed I’m surprised Rick didn’t jump out the window!
Loving this episode so far! Thanks Rick Rick
Dudes hilarious … thanks for all you do Rick !!
Love ya Pete!
Great directing at 24:00 the commercial is so good I just wanna buy rugs!!!!❤
Pete and Rick is a deadly combination🤝
also get Ryan Sickler on here!
Pete's Al Pacino impression is spot on
Pete's Pacino is very good.
Haha..it is!
Pete's Al Pacino impression is not only better than Adam Ray but probably one of the best in Comedy. Prove me wrong
I love how much Pete loves you 🥲🥲
The Louis bit killed me dude! Also it being with Pete of all people made it even better🤣
Can’t wait to get out of work so I can give TYSO my undivided attention.
This should be a classic
I absolutely loved watching this. Thank you!
Nice transition at the beginning
I love Pete doing Pacino
Well God bless Pete Holmes, it’s rare that Rick is not in the creative drivers seat
Too good! Best one to date.
Pete and Rick = 🔥🔥🔥
Pete was brilliant, but let me just interject, I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT GLASSMAN FAMILY EP!! WE NEED MORE TEDDY!
Let me interject you
I love Rick! The amount of times that I’ve had to determine someone was boring/not funny….Boy is my brain tired!
LOVE Pete Holmes like I LOVE the lord... purely for out of guilt and persistent existential dread
That “remember this” was perfection 😂
Hi, I'm Rick's Balcony, and this is PETE HOLMES
The TYSO logo being centered on the basketball is oddly satisfying.
“You win a softball” is so funny.
I like how Rick got rid of will smiths book in the background and is no longer a running gag in the pod anymore. F will smith
1:29 “GOOGLING DEREALIZATION, HATING WHAT YOU FIND” please have BO BURNHAM ON AND MAYBE PETE HOLMES PART TWO

The subtle self report had me dying 🤣 😂
The timing on that ending! Not sure if I hate it or I love it 🤔
Would love a Holmes, Glassman and Watkins trio of anything.
Now that's a great idea!
Amazing as always
Pete: of COURSE I ask what would make a comedian laugh 😝 as I will try open mics soon 😀
Can’t wait to watch this one! 😍
Goooooood ep.
0:00:00:01 in and it’s already a banger!
Thanks Rick!
I feel like Pete took the end of pod questions about his comedy as picking into his mindset negatively but Rick looked to be seeking advice on how to transition silliness into more profound standup without losing the silly
Pete + TYSO = Joy
This episode is glorious
Holmes sweet Holmes
Ricky G with the best pod and guests in the game once again 🔥
Pete's Pacino is awesome. On top of being exceptional mechanically-speaking, his improvs in it are always so ridiculously goofy.
when u see teddy in an ad and knows he gonna be on an episode soon
Pete Holmes...is how To say? The Genuine ARTICLE....The man Is Liquid Gold!
30 seconds in and im laughing already. the last hour and a half better be as funny
The tiny, nearly imperceptible edit at 44:45 was fucking brilliant! I nearly lost my shit. If you blink you'll miss it.
Strangely, where the dynamic changed
adam always sounds like hes in the middle of karate
LOL the Goldblum bit.
