HOW TO BLEACH YOUR PALM OIL USING HEAT, WITH NO FUMES OR SMOKE.

Chemically bleached palm oil is not actually good for human consumption "I mean to prepare edibles". And funny enough, when it comes to heat method of palm oil bleaching "must people find it quite challenging" due to the excess fumes involved in this process.

How long did you heat the oil after placing the pot lid?

The quantity of oil determines the duration & how long. For little quantity 5 to 7 minutes is enough on a low heat

Of course you can! but you have to mix it with other oils to lighten the palm oil color at least 50/50 or 70/30, else it will be too concentrated & your soap will be deeply colored.

Not really ! it just that the Oil is now very light after bleaching, that's why it looks as if it's reduced.

It's mostly for beginners that do not master the act of soap making. Also using soda ash in your soap recipe with chemically bleached palm oil, the hydrogen peroxide in the bleached palm oil is not a good combo, sometimes it reacts with soda ash and cause the soap to be so dusty especially for colored soap. So use the required amount of hydrogen peroxide.
