Nice informative video....also nice to see another UK UA-camr 👍🇬🇧 I've got some of these en route....its good to know the problems before hand!
Thanks, Tomley! Greetings from the southern shires. You have a great channel intro and alot of enticing content to catch up on now I''ve subbed you. It seems your more the WPL addict than I am :)
Bonjour mon ami félicitations de FRANCE pour ta vidéo 👍🇫🇷
Hello my friend thanks for sharings 👍great update very nice truck 😎congrats buddy good day of France 👍🇫🇷
Thank you very much for your kind words, friend. All our regards to the revolution you have going at the moment! Merci!
think you said it those front springs are meant to have the hangers at the front,
so the diff does not move backwards over bumps and maybe the front diff angle would point upwards then, I have just purchased a B24 and I wonder why people that do lifts like this do not drop the transfer case 20mm or so that would line up the drive shafts again to a better angle ? not sure as i have not got mine yet to try, cheers Brett
There is a followup where I correct most of the issues including mounting the front springs with the hangers forward, but be main reasons the mounting location for the transfer box is so rigid is the chassis frame is a C channel straight beam also dropping it would circumvent the clearance to some degree.
It does seem quite common to have both a single hanger and 2 hangers depending on what vehicle you look at. You'll have a ball modding your B24, had mine over a year and just love it being evolved into different guises at little cost bit by bit, it's certainly gone from toy to a custom truck thats great to crack out.
Ok cool I will search for follow up, google gave me this one first lol, Im not realy going to go off road
as such just on a metal driveway testing out my open LRS radio gear for fail safe with iNav etc and maybe
some OpenHD (HD camera FPV Tx) gear, but wanted a wider wheel track to carry some radio gear on the back, Any suggesting ? cheers for the reply, Brett
@@kermets Check the playlist linked in the card as it's in there.
I'd think that you would have plenty of space for an iNav FC with Open LRS etc and no doubt an action cam mounted for the OpenHD system in the bed and cab, however if you have access to a 3D printer you could quite easily use the chassis/roller for a pleathora of modifications for a very niche setup, again check the playlist as I have created some modular parts that you could easily adapt which is in there also.
The track of the vehicle could be adapted also in a few ways, the simplist I'd assume is some of the Fayee type wheels that are a fair bit wider, you could also pursue the route of just widening the track with 3d printed axle spacer bits or even insert a wider axle, again I have made some replacement hubs mounts that pushfit a 3mm steel rod.
I do think that you'll be quite allright with the stock setup for your needs though, but you might just consider adding some weight around the axle housing to counter the added weight up high.
You're very welcome ,glad to be a sounding board and help your project any way I can and also thatnsk for giving me what should have been a no brainer about testing an iNav setup before putting it on a soon to be lawn dart!
The install is wonky at best! I think I have a solution coming soon but yes I feel your pain my friend and almost regret my purchase! Great vid!👍
I'd be intrested to hear your solution if it pans out, Fella.
I said to myself that I'd try and forget the dissapointment and make lemonade from the lemon. Thanks for letting me know you felt much the same.
MrE I just posted the vid yesterday if you are interested in seeing the solution it’s on my channel. I think it will work out well just needs a little fine tuning! 👍
Cheers, had a watch and comment.
When test video?
Not quite sure yet but is there any specific tests you would like to see?
@@MrE. I mean LEGO will show fully working suspension with the elevation changes,or on the street will be the car to shake like crazy as a mother suspension. Just like the tests I saw on UA-cam.
I had trouble getting it To not bind up but they are better now
Did you suffer much the same installing it and was it just worn in over time for the binding issue?
Yeah I was I put a little motor lube on And yeah just worked it in
Thanks for the heads up, I'll give it a little attention before taking it out on a crawl @@johnroddy931
Can you see if it'll fit 3.85s please?
I assume 3.85inch tires? Just measured and there is a little over 3inches from the floor to the arch on the front so I doubt 3.85s would, you may be able to lift it more but that will create some issues with the drivetrain - especially the pinion/driveshaft angle.
Hope this is the info you are after but if it's not let me know and I'll have a look for you!
Happy modding, friend!
@@MrE. thanks for the info man it helps
@@RC_Rooster No problem!
