Best of luck in the job hunt! I used to work for a big publisher (nothing with actual books, though), and I met a lot of great people who are still friends today. I've since switched jobs a couple of times in the past few years and I've been in a great spot with my current employer for a couple years now, but I still sometimes have that panic that I need to be updating my resume again😅
That choose-your-own-adventure writing project sounds cool! If you like combining writing and games, you might be interested in journaling games, since they're basically writing prompts with an element of randomness added. There are a lot of free journaling games out there. One I found recently and want to try is Reincarnated as the Unlovable Villianess?!, created by Wym Lawson.
Best wishes for the new year! My goal is to organize my books so I can find them and not buy doubles again. 😂 I have Lolly Willowes, too! It was recommended by Jean Menzies.
Reading goals - read/reread the Miss Fisher books; probably read the first Robin Hobb Trilogy; read/reread Stormlight Archive. Good luck on the job hunt.
I'm in the middle of burnout right now too. And I also have a twice exceptional kiddo who has been A LOT this year. Love your videos and happy for fewer if it makes you happy. 😊
Best wishes for your job hunt in the new year! applying in Nov/Dec can be tricky because there's a lot of PTO and "let's circle back after the holidays". But it should pick up again in Jan so fingers crossed for you! Oh I read Me this year and I really enjoyed it! It was fascinating reading about Elton John's life - I did the audiobook and it's narrated by Taron Edgerton who played Elton in the Rocketman biopic My goal is to read down my owned TBR - I acquired a lot of books in 2024 and have a bunch I haven't read yet - even some preorders lol
I started reading the vampire chronicles after watching Interview with the vampire tv show and it has been so much fun. The first book Is the weakest though. The rest of the series is a lot more interesting
I loved You Just Need to Lose Weight & 19 Other Myths About Fat People! Aubrey Gordon is such a strong writer & important educator.
Good luck with all your goals, but especially your job hunting! Xx

I also need to continue The Dandelion Dynasty. I'm doing a buddy read with some friends of the series, so that'll be finished in 2025
