Everyone's watching
To see what you will do
Everyone's looking at you
Oh
Everyone's wondering
Will you come out tonight
Everyone`s trying
To get it right
Get it right
Everybody's working for the weekend
Everybody wants a little romance
Everybody's going off the deep end
Everybody needs a second chance
Oh
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on, baby
Let`s go
Everyone's looking
To see if it was you
Everyone wants you to come through
Everyone's hoping
It'll all work out
Everyone's waiting
They`re holding out
Hey
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on, baby
Let's go
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show

Working for the Weekend. Released in 1981. Where did the time go? Great tune... !
you must have worked through the weekend to not notice the time pass by
Yep i was 11
High School :)
Working for the weekend was released in January of 1982 !
Dang I turned 31 that year, bought this LP and exercised my Nikko Amp with this tune
Air guitar anyone?
This is the sound of the 80's!!! 100% on the airwaves still loving it 2019!
I'm sucker for Keyboard Rock. Loverboy, Night Ranger....
@@Me-je2uw - Absolutely
@@sixsentsoldiers Like NR a lot myself. Also, Bon Jovi was doing the keyboard on their early albums as well. Of course, Van Halen was doing on a lot of their albums too.
Man! That’s used from my retro video game since 2004. And it’s called: NAMCO MUSEUM 50TH ANNIVERSARY!
How they never got suggested for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is beyond me. One of the largest selling records on Canadian Music History
RRHOF IS A JOKE 😂
What a classic…will still be a hit hundreds of years from now!
Mike Reno's pipes are still amazing, such an underrated band as many others will say. Keep rockin' Loverboy!! Many of us are still playing the vinyl on the turntable. From a huge Canadian fan 🤘
Good inside look here- Mike is like an annoying Kid from the old neighborhood...
I want to go back to the 80s. Want more of lover Boy. ❤️
I wish they would hurry up and finish that dam time machine.

Ladies and gentlemen... the rock song that defined the 80s.
This beat goes hard....One of my favorite songs of the 80's.My favorite part of the video is the drummer and the freeze frame on him...homeboy is killin it!!!!
I love the drum work at the end of the song....nails it!
Maybe everyone thinks their teenage years were the best, but I'm so thankful I grew up as an 80's kid.
This song still sounds fresh today, long live the 80s,, the 80s great time to be alive👍🤘
80’s baby here!!
The intro is adorable. Loves it. Miss their music! Good old days!

BACK WHEN MTV STILL PLAYED MUSIC VIDEOS.
Marcus Reeves If MTV still played music videos they wore exist
Yeah right
TheDoltonboy what they're really trying to do the last 20-plus years is actually dumb the people down with music
Jared Boyd what's the really trying to do is dumb the people down with stupid music for the last 20 years called mind control
Marcus Reeves
My 15 year old granddaughter couldn’t believe MTV played music videos 24/7 365 days a year. Then I asked her before I told you it was all music videos what did you think the “M” in MTV stood for??? And she deadpan response was MODERN. I tell ya some people’s kids. Lol
Loverboy knew how to combine synthesizer elements with rock music. They are one of the best bands to come out of Canada.
We used to cover this back in the 80s. It was a pure joy to play on guitar and never failed to get the crowd going.
Saw them in Edmonton 1980 outside in a park. After a couple tunes I thought these guy's are gonna be famous soon.!🎸
SNL Chris Farley .. Patrick Swayze
Chip n Dale auditions HAHAHA
Colored leather pants. Top of my Christmas list in the early 80's.
High Impact Cranium Penetration still have mine, lol.
He stole Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest pants
Omg I had a pair of red leather pants where the length was so long I had to wear my sky-high’s just to consider them. I actually only wore them 1X outta the house....and changed out of them as we rolled-up to the bar. Give me my Levi’s any day!
It's still hot The first lady was wearing a red leather blazer today.
MIKE RENO = One Amazing Power Vocalist with a Crystal Clear Tonality To His Voice.
And the inspiration for Buckaroo Banzai!
And nowadays, he looks like he ate the whole weekend
The energy of this song is amazing!

Underrated band..Strong musicianship.
@My Opinion Yes. Underrated. Cheesy or not, this is quality songwriting and catchy elements. Every canadian band seems to end up kinda underrated
This Isn't just a song! It's an anthem!
Mike sounds great today, as good as the 80’s and the guys are just on it.
It’s 2021 and this song is still great. The awesome 80’s.
Have seen Loverboy play several times and have never been disappointed, as they have delivered a great performance every time. My favorite story is when they had just started an outdoor concert during the 2016 Sturgis bike rally, when a big storm came up. Mike Reno was just beginning "Notorious" and was standing under the front edge of a large canopy that was above the band stage. As the song began it began lightning and pouring rain, and rain water began to collect on top of the canopy. All of a sudden about halfway through the song, a huge gust of wind came in and lifted the canopy, dumping about 50 gallons of rainwater right on top of Reno. I thought that was it, concert was over. Mike's hair and all his clothes were soaked. But while the band kept playing, Reno pulled up his sunglasses off the end of his nose, put his headband back on, and started singing again and eventually finished the whole concert. What dedication!
A Great Underrated Rock Band. Loverboy still rocks to this day too.
itsall good Except Reno is still fat.
Good god theyre such a good group Loverboy, Journey, Europe, Survivor, Scorpions
you right
@@massimosamdal257 def leppard is also pretty good
Amazing song.. 80's are the best
Just saw them last Friday night...40 years after the first time I saw them...they're still rockin it!!

Those constant freeze frames on the drummer's face is pure gold.
Was rockin’ to this then in 1981 & still rockin’ to it now!😍🙌🎶✨🎶✨
You're lying. You look 19.
Why am I suddenly obsessed with this song?
Cause its pure force and has massive positive vibes
What about hate, their is so much hate and haters out their. Some people hate you and don't even know you. They hate on you how you speak, dress, live and especially carry yourself. When you try to do good, people hate on you even more. Cats are much nicer. If you truly care for your cat, you'll get in return unconditionally love.

Gregory Wendt Cause it's good music
Because is the most full of energy song ever!!!! I love it!!!
What a great voice Mike Rano
Ahhhh! The Friday after work tune! I would crack it up with a big happy smile! 80’s where AWESOME!
Definitely one of the greatest rock songs of the '80's. That galloping guitar hook repeats itself three times in the song, just like Ray Manzarek's catchy keyboard riff repeats itself three times in "Light My Fire."
have always loved this fun song. Love the scream "hey" at about 5:09 and the guitars throughout. Fun tune.
Tommy Vercetti loves that song!!!
ahah yeah
Vic Vance does too
My Saints Row 2 character too.
Now that"s how u drum- he's killin" them skins!
Awesome sauce on them drums!!!
Loverboy is the best band that I ever saw live, and I play guitar for a living. They were tight as hell and Matty Frenette (drummer) is an animal :)

Man! I just love this song! I can't get it out of my head. My favorite part of the song is "You want a piece of my heart, you better start from the start. You wanna be in the the show, come on baby let's go!" I could listen to this all day if I could.
302 people got scheduled to work double overtime this weekend.

@zudemaster - That's a good thing for people who aren't afraid of working!
Where I worked as a kid, Sunday was triple-time.
The working man with the good work ethic knows where he stands, and, he provides for his family. Making fun of that just makes you a jerkoff!
Go into the military. Everything after that, if you're a real worker, is cake! Everyday is the easiest day!
And...34 other slugs gave you 'thumbs-up.' Maybe you'll meet them in the unemployment lines; or, at the welfare office. Dirtbags!
Man, music will never be the same
IanTheGreat don't you mean music will never be like it was in this 80s era, no way!
This song has completely crushed it for 40 years! This one song made the whole genre of pop rock respectable.
This makes me so depressed.....how good everything was
a lot less responsibilities when we were younger
I know,I was just reflecting on that. I'd give anything to have my long hair back, acid washed ripped Jeans and 6 pack! This was by far the best decade for everything! Clothes,Girls, oh the girls and the best music ever!
this song makes me cry its so good!
The reckless Use of Smartphones and Social Media made many people be like digital zombies in these days.
Stefan Riemann Yeah kinda like how cocaine did in the 80’s....
I love this song because nothing overshadows anything you can hear the perfect mix of everything
The drummers freeze-frame expressions HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Ikr. I was dying the whole time. lol
They were so big for a too short period of time. One of the greatest bands of all time.
Oct 1990 SNL Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley auditioning for the Chippendale Dancers to this song. Phenomenal
I love this song ever since it came out.... I remember they used to play it every Friday on the radio :)
looks like loverboy was up all night to "get lucky" back in the early 80s .. ;) ;)
I played the the heck out of Loverboy back in the day. Great group .
Did anyone notice how young this band was when they created this masterpiece?
They weren't that young, the guitarist was 35, the singer was 26. Not old, but not kids like a lot of bands from the era.
Hey!....They look pretty old to me!....
Just like a lot of bands; they were most creative (and fearless) in their youth. Still a fun fun song! Makes me look into more Loverboy music....and that leads to ‘Canadian’ rock and roll bands, in general. Can’t go wrong with some BTO....
These guys were mostly hired guns and in other bands for years. Most Canadian musicians at this level know each other from other bands. They weren't that young. They were top musicians, though for sure.
At least a few were pretty seasoned.mike reno was in moxy. guitarist and drummer were in streetheart.
That is some intellectually stimulating conversation! I had these guys pegged for losers who would just sit around chatting about getting lucky...my apologies to Loverboy!
I'll adore this band from my country forever.
My hat goes off to Music from the 50's-70's, but 80's Rock is like NO OTHER. Loverboy, is the quintessential 80's Rock Band.
I always thought that Mike Reno looks a lot like actor Emilio Estevez. This song does not leave my playlist!
I don't care what anybody says. I still think that "Mike Reno" was just a stage name for Dan Marino who I think was the REAL lead singer for Loverboy during the NFL off season. 🏈 🎤 🤔
Tobias Chance ....and Arnold Horshack on drums.
Tobias Chance Yeah I can see that too!
Tobias Chancee Sure does look like him!
Tobias Chance if we find marino we find the dolphin -Ace
Tobias Chance Dan wishes he could kick this much ass!
Aww RIP Scott Smith at 1:12 he was adorable. Gone too soon.
Phil Collen talks him up pretty good in his autobiography. Apparently they were mates at the time of his death.
i just love these guys, some of the best classic rock.
I love Loverboy! There's such excellent musicianship in this band & God bless the headband wearing hair bands!
I still love this song!
Why do I have this sudden urge to buy a Loverboy cassette tape and blare it cruising down the road in a Fiero?
HELLH0WND Oh man, you must have seen me!
Cause your feelin it.
Fiero? Haha. I remember those. They were notorious for always getting one headlight stuck up while the other was down.
Hellhownd, cause you rock, that's why lol
Koolcat, as did the Firebird, and every other 80's GM car with hideaway headlights lol
I was obsessed with Loverboy in the 80s. I saw them live back in 2014 and they sounded great. It was like I was a teenager again. They’ve aged but we all have. And Matt Frenette is a kick ass drummer.
I was obsessed with them in the 80s too I remember the laser show they used during touring.
Heard this on the radio and had to see the vid again, only to see they are on tour NOW! *mind blown*
Moflow if you get the chance to see them go! It’s sad that Scott Smith has passed but the current bassist does a great job.
One of my favorite bands..😊
As a Canadian teenager, this takes me back to Terry David Mulligan hosting Good Rockin' Tonite.
You obviously live in BC. I saw the video on Video Hits (CBC), and Much Music. 👍🇨🇦
Can never hear this song without seeing Chris Farley as a Chippendale's dancer 😂
That guitar playing gives me chills every time I hear this song!
One of the best 80's hits!
A super great song. And they're Canadian. ❤❤❤
THIS is music.
i was at a journey and lover boy concert i had no idea who lover boy was and i was expecting them to suck but turns out they were amazing i actually loved them more than journey
That is an awesome story :) They were one of the very FIRST 80's rock bands, their sound kicked everything off! ALL the songs were amazing and Mike Reno? A killlllller frontman. p.s. A lot of people feel many later bands such as Def Lepperd, Motley Crue, etc. were basically just a rehashing of Loverboy!!!
gwabashnuba
Actually, since he categorized them as one of the first 80's rock bands, saying there were rock bands before the 80's kinda makes you look stupid.
I think it's because they are Canadian and they might not have been as popular in the states, which is like a lot of really good Canadian bands that don't get enough air play in the states. Lover boy had a lot of hits up here
This was one of my fav bands of my youth, thank you for all the great songs and memories
Loverboy is an underrated band. Great stuff
From the golden age of MTV!
I remember rockin to this on a New Year’s Eve back in the 80s. Us dancing while our component system blaring. Awesome song. Fun memories 👍🏼😃
Im one of the lucky ones that got to live the 80's. My daughter while she was in college all her friends and her would say how lucky i was being in the 80's cause the music now days sucks. This coming from 20 something year old kids. Now my daughter hits me for my play list i have which is extensive. Those who are from the 80's know that to be true cause you had to be amazing to make it back then cause as fans we demanded the greatest from our musicians back then and we never settled for less no matter what.
Good stuff, still have this album on vinyl. The 80s rocked!
