My church growing up had three pianists and an organist that played every service. So I truly don’t mind more than one piano being played in a service.
I must needs go home by the way of the cross, There’s no other way but this; I shall ne’er get sight of the Gates of Light, If the way of the cross I miss. Refrain: The way of the cross leads home, The way of the cross leads home; It is sweet to know, as I onward go, The way of the cross leads home. I must needs go on in the blood-sprinkled way, The path that the Savior trod, If I ever climb to the heights sublime, Where the soul is at home with God. Then I bid farewell to the way of the world, To walk in it nevermore; For my Lord says, “Come,” and I seek my home, Where He waits at the open door.
Thank you for posting this. Beautiful congregational singing. I listened to this three times because I so enjoyed hearing the two pianists playing together. Praise God for their talent.
Hello! Visiting to learn how to sing this hymn this Saturday afternoon, March 30, 2024. Happy Resurrection Day! Also, UA-cam won't let me leave a comment when visiting videos again. It has labeled it as spam/harassment. I got two 24 hour commenting suspensions for it at the first of the year, so just know I do still revisit, I just can't say so now when I do.

I sang this at my Baptist church, which was located right in front of my house. it's been translated into Burmese, and it's such a beautiful hymn.
I must needs go home by the way of the cross,
There’s no other way but this;
I shall ne’er get sight of the Gates of Light,
If the way of the cross I miss.
Refrain:
The way of the cross leads home,
The way of the cross leads home;
It is sweet to know, as I onward go,
The way of the cross leads home.
I must needs go on in the blood-sprinkled way,

Then I bid farewell to the way of the world,
To walk in it nevermore;

Where He waits at the open door.
Love this one.

Pattie A. Dunlap Praise The Lord! I’m glad it’s a blessing.
@@danielbaptist1611 Thank you for posting this. Don't hear these glorious songs any more except on YT.
I miss the people that I grew up with. I have no one now. My family is lost. People at my church hate me.
What went wrong?

I am on that Way.
Amen, the Blood Sprinkled Way.
Que belo hino! Como é bom cantar louvores ao Deus altíssimo!
Sir please, put it subtitles. Thanks. I love Hymn song so much!
This man is
a Song LEADER !
I’ve never heard this hymn before. It’s lovely. Could we please have the lyrics?
A church this size needs a fine organ leading hymns and those outta control pianists need to CHILL...
Just what I was thinking. I am an Organist so I speak from firsthand experience.
Sounds good to me. The pianist just ad libing away. Plus that just a natural talent he has and plus it make the hymns sounds better!
@@TheDrafthorse12 anyone who thinks this pianist doesn't need an intervention is part of the problem.
