would be nice to see a full gameplay sometimes, am a controller main who recently started getting into cypher so tht i can flex better nd i often find myself struggling with pacing nd positioning, like i want to be there to capitalize on my trips but in the same time the moment they see me they jst either abandon the site or they actively look for the trips nd destroy them, also on attack should i be going in with my team helping them with cages nd trippin plant or should i focus on watching flank, things like this.
In the mean time, I really recommend you to go watch some VOD channel (Valorant Daily is the most prominent one). It has a ton of full VOD of pro player playing specific characters, including Cypher.
i've been a cypher for over a year and from what i learned in defense you should put trip mid and on site if they dont come to your site make sure to take the cam and the trip that was on site not the one mid and on attack just put atrip flank cage onto site plant and help your team in post plant or only if you see it dosent work you can put a trip flank and go flanking yourself and make sure that if you do that take your time dont frick out if your team starts to die hope that was helpful
switch is up depending on what the enemy is preparing for, kill trips can be great if youre the only one on site, if you push in to a site, placing trips where defenders will have to rotate csn give you an idea of where they are, one ways are great on offense for stopping retakes, or lurking is great becsuse cypher can hold half the map by himself
I was watching this super high and at 7:13, you pushed into the Sage during your ult, and it just kinda clicked in my brain that during Cypher Ult, most everyone will give some level of attention to the fact that I've been detected, and so they'll split focus for a bit because they have to take in that information. You using that in order to get a jump on the opponent was utter genius, and my high ass is applauding you rn. Either that, or I'm just totally out of it. Either way... Good Shit Man! And I'll subscribe too my dude :)
i think you should make some videos about cypher setup, or share about the errors that need to be fixed when playing cypher like setting cam late,... or aim. that would be better than just posting videos, highlights. it's just for entertainment and not many people will want to follow. that's my personal opinion, have a nice day. thanks if you read it!
