I've had the PVC pipe on my pullup bar for many years, and even a 60 seconds hang from it is really tough! GREAT for grip. Very challenging for doing pulllups. You get my respect...

I spent 22 years in the Army, and did pull-ups and flexed arm hang almost every day. I can tell you right now, you are a beast. I can’t do 100 seconds on a rotating bar, and just tried three times. I never got closer than 11 seconds.
It does make me want to go get a booth at the state fair this year, and run that challenge. 😂😂😂😂

Was it allowable to use hook grip (index and middle finger wrapped over the thumb)? And if so, any reason why you chose to avoid doing that?
I’ve been getting this question a lot too. To be honest, I think most people who are recommending this are not experienced climbers. A hook grip is extremely effective for Olympic weightlifting but hanging from a bar with a hook grip is not ideal. At least not in my experience. I haven’t experimented with it too much.
BraziBros The hook grip is great for weightlifting because it doesnt allow the bar to rotate out of the lifter's hands. It is what allows lifters to hold on to massive weights without straps
You fatigue the muscles fast with a hook grip because you’re using extra energy from contraction in an isometric hold. Bottom line is that you’re using too much energy and not getting a good enough return on hang time. Less efficient with too much muscle activation

It require lots of strengths in your arm and figure's and that why for mount climber or warrior is not that much of hard or impossible.

I used to hang from a bar that was in my house and I would try the same thing. I got to a minute and couldn’t do anymore. This is obviously not fake, because it is hard. Probably even harder as you said to hang from a rotating bar. Good job bro!!🙌🏻

I feel better about myself I only did it one time and I'm around 265 lb I only lasted almost a minute for a 2-minute challenge in Knott's Berry Farm. I had no practice. But watching how much practice your doing to get back to the challenge, makes me want to go back for round 2 once I train for it.

I made my own spinning bar from aluminium tube and 2 crankshaft bearings that have a chain link welded to them, its not as thicc as this bar though at 25mm but I can hang for 1min 20sec without training specifically for it.
I managed to hang for 1m 30s 4 days ago and my goal is to win the 2min hang next month at a nearby festival :D Might fail miserably but atleast I've tried :3
