Must comment again, i dont konw how but it keeps getting better everytime I come back to listen to it just once more and then I repeat it at least 3 times in a row. Must get to a live gig. Lyyne such soul, John Davidson absolutely world class, and Steve Davis just outstanding drums. Thank you again.
I Love this rendition of Blackbird.♫♪♫ Excellent piano of Lynne Arriale , fabulous bass of John Davidson, and superb drums of Steve Davis. Well done. Thanks. /Gracias.
Did he ever play this song? I would love to hear that. That would be such a unique recording. Is this comment based on any kind of reality or you were just making things up?
Wonderful reworking of this well known and much loved tune...the bass solo is really musical and melodic where he hints at the harmonic minor scale.really stand out ...but plaudits all round ❤❤❤❤❤
Lynn transcends..!!! Steve provides the framework, and the bass guy punctuates the storyline....Seems a different bass guy every year...Love the way this woman interprets jazz progressions...
Maybe unpopular opinion, but I actually appreciate Jarret's grunting, since they're part of his personality. But yeah, Lynne's great too! Very lyrical playing.
Love this version and haven't heard it in a long time. Glad i re-discovered it

So clever and tasteful, Just a wonderful interpretation.
Excellent, and different enough from Brad Mehldau's classic version to not make it derivative! Love it
Elegant and intelligent performance with great rhythm. I like jazz musicians who are not averse to playing the tune!
Wonderful, with super drummer Steve Davis. One of the best around.
Love Steve Davis!

Does anyone else hear her start into James Taylor's "your smiling face"?
Yes
I almost went insane trying to recall what it was
Yes, guessing that was playfully intentional.

Nice
i love you aurora
Lynne gets deeply into her music, not unlike Keith Jarret, but fortunately without Keith's grunting which is often obnoxious.
Maybe unpopular opinion, but I actually appreciate Jarret's grunting, since they're part of his personality. But yeah, Lynne's great too! Very lyrical playing.
superb! but drums too loud. bass too quiet.
anorexia much?
