Heres a tip; if you are using the mouse saver mod where you can hold click to attack instead of having to spam click, you must hold the R key while riding the Owl and disable it for the Owl specifically. Otherwise your heal wont work and your thermal vision will be buggy. Almost uninstalled because i thought my favourite tame was just a buggy mess on release until i worked that out 😂😂
I'm lazy. I tank it. I got like 900 health, Medical brews and a Ptera. And every so often just mounting my Ptera and letting it tank a few hits whilst I recovered with brews.
quick note. snow owl pellets aren't poop; they're spat up parts of it's food that couldn't be digested, like fur or bone. kind of silly how they replaced pooping with this and not just putting both together for the snow owl, as they would still poop what actually gets eaten while spitting up what they couldn't. they removed realism all for the sake of not wanting to give players multiple sources of fertilizer from 1 creature lol.
snow owls have never in the history of ark, spawned on the island. closest thing to a snow owl on the island is an argy (argentavis), and they're completely different flyers. if you want one, just throw one of your crappy flyers into the obelisk with a cryopod, do a transfer to extinction, download your flyer from the obelisk on extinction and take your cryo pod, and go hunting for one with this trap. once you have one, cryo it, fly back to obelisk, release the owl, upload your owl and crappy flyer, and transfer back to the island. must use official servers if you are playing official though... you won't be able to do transfers through modded servers or private nitrado servers.
