I don't do more than two duplicates of the same style because I find myself not reaching for all of them. I got the Brooklyn 28 in the dark lime and dark ruby and find them different enough I can justify having both.
I'm all for having the same style bag in multiple colors. I currently have 10 Rowan Satchels and I carry them all. I'm not buying as much as I used to. My purchases have become more intentional. Good topic.
I am totally guilty of this habit! I’ve ended up always neglecting one of them and favor one color over the other and then have to deal with parting ways with it. So I’m down to one bag that I have in two different colors for practicality sake and am going to resist the urge to do so in the future….hopefully. 😅
I absolutely think sometimes it’s ok to have multiple bags that are the same design but different colors!!!! If I like a bag a LOT I wanna have multiple options of ways to carry it. I have 2 Speedy 20s. The monogram was the original and I loved the size. When it came out in Damier Ebene I got it cuz that gave me the option of carrying one of my faves despite the weather or if it was raining. So definitely there are times when having multiple of the same color comes in handy.
Hi Dori- of course none of it is really necessary but I say buy the bags in as many colors as you like. Life is short so why NOT? I LOVE the Coach Cary Crossbody and I have recently bought it in 4 colors. I'm always chasing that feeling. LOL... Love your videos and thanks for sharing.
His *hotdups* handbags come in beautiful colors, are very sturdy, and are the perfect size. Not too small, not too big. I look forward to adding them to my rotation.
I have the Lana 23 in grey blue and I love the bag so much I’m contemplating purchasing it in either black or ivory. It’s the first time I loved a bag so much that I want it in two different colors.
The Daisy charm looks so pretty on your Coach Rowan! I have two Coach Cassie 19s, black and chalk. I affectionately call them Ebony and Ivory 🖤🤍🥰 I limit myself to no more than two if it’s a style that I really love! I think if it’s two then it’s okay so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I love these types of videos. Thank you for sharing Dori!
I think its okay to have multiples of the same bag in different colors when it's a silhouette you really enjoy and will reach for often. Although I tend to go too far 😂😂😂. That chain on your Rowan is everything!!!!! Whew! Enjoyed the video ❤
It’s tricky: if you love something or are really smitten by it, it’s tempting to get it in another color! You gotta ask yourself if you’re really gonna reach for that other one or if you wanna give love to what you have existing. But the enabler side of me wants to tell you to get the green Swing zip because your green bag collection is thriving 😂😂
If you find a pair of shoes that fit well and look great it pays to get a second pair for convenience. I say the same goes for handbags. I have more multiples than I’m willing to admit to if you get my drift. ❤
I think you definitely hit on something real. We all crave novelty and something new, and when you couple that with the rush of getting a new bag you love its danger zone for the wallet. I think if you find a style that works and you love there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having multiples, but maybe wait a couple months first? Sometimes that relationship ends with the honeymoon.
@@joecarroll8286 well put! That’s what I learned about just waiting and not pulling the trigger on things so swiftly. Once time passes and a new style catches my attention i almost completely forget about all the other colors I wanted in that one bag
I think it's ok to have multiples if you love that style and will wear them often enough. I have two soft tabby bags - one in black leather and one in denim. I got the black one first and wore it OUT. I saw the denim here on UA-cam and loved it too. I've thought about getting another color but realistically, I like variety. I have a lot of bags already. I can only wear one at a time (usually 😅). I don't want to be stuck with 10 soft tabbys.
@@myfashionkillz I think that’s what it is I feel like I can easily get stuck with 10 of the same style and won’t have room for anything else that drops. But those special few styles I think I can have two colors 🙃
@@Divinenubian I actually thought that was going to be my goal ! But then I noticed the styles that resonate with me the most usually come from the same brand. I have higher end designer bag goals but idk if I’ll ever be able to afford some like Loewe
@AllOverDori great point I'm loving coach. I bought that faye ruching bag that i saw you review. Now, I want the swinger zip, and i bought that empire 26, but I passed in the quilted tabby
Hey Dori. Funny you should mention this “feeling”. I’ve pondered the same thing and thought maybe I was addicted to bags. There’s definitely a feeling I get initially and I’m so excited when one works out that I instantly want more in other colors (this goes for blouses, jeans, and bags 😂). I do think you’d be fine getting other colors if a bag is very practical for you and you want another option to go with your dark colored clothing, for example. Just getting additional colors because you’re mesmerized though…🤔 hesitate on that because the feeling is fleeting.
@@TheHopefulminimalist JEANS! Listen jeans are justified lmao it’s hard for women to find the perfect jeans for their body so finding that cut and buying multiple is all the waaaay justified . I think that feeling trumps any feeling for a bag for me
This is a handbag habit that I suffer with as well. I was mesmerized by the Coach duffle new edition that came out in 2019/2020 they had a super sale on the website for I think a day or 2 for $199 so I ended up buying 3 colors. Then the pillow tabby and pillow Madison came out and again I got multiple colors. At the end of the day I didn't need or really use all the bags in these multiple colors. Thankfully I got most of them on sale. My question to you is, which platform do you use to sell your bags. How much of a loss are you ok with taking? I always struggle with that part, know a loss is eminent but I hate losing more than 50%.
@@Neetabeeta1972 that’s a really good question . Most of the time I’m just looking to make space more so that the dollars but at the same time if I feel super low balled like insulted lol I reject the sale or negotiate. I’ve only used Poshmark the last few years for clothes bags shoes and even roller skates lol
