Hello Susan-Dear, you are right, Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to work with Dimash. However, on his mother's recommendation, he heard it beforehand and happened to meet him and his parents for the first time on a shopping spree in New York. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was found to have perfect pitch. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, another in contemporary music, pop, and jazz was a major in Vogel technique. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his master's with honors having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He has since started his Ph.D.

He heard Dimash sing "Sinful Passion" at Sochi, and came out of retirement in order to work with him. He has written many songs just for Dimash in the last couple of years. (This one included).
Most people sound better on mv’s, but it’s the opposite for Dimash. He is amazing live.....always.

Crazy is Dimash doing the Diva dance at his Bastau concert, the song the blue alien sang in the movie Fifth Element. Don't you wish you had known about him when he did a sold out concert at the Barclays center in December 2019? It was absolutely incredible.

We've all been there for 4yrs and counting!! God bless you too!! Keep watching Dimash, and you'll see that his "Dears" as he calls his fans, will always love watching you react to each new performance!! If you do a little research on Dimash, you will be impressed with his reputation as a kind, generous, spiritual person who walked away from a million dollar prize here in America because he found out the children that performed were really competing in the show, which was something he told them was a deal breaker for him to agree to be on the show. He knew he was going to win, and he found out the kids had been eliminated from the competition and weren't just performing on it and respectfully asked them to let the children move forward, and let him step out. Ru Paul was so rude to Dimash, saying he knew what he was getting into, and they cut out Dimash's response!! He said that when they called him and asked him to be in the show, the first thing he asked was if children were competing against adults.....and that was it. He never once said anything rude to any of the gudges. He did say "This is not about my ego or something". As a result, a little boy who is a fantastic piano player won the million dollar prize!! I honestly don't know if a famous 20something famous performer that would set aside his ego and possible contracts worth millions in the US to let the children have a chance!! Love the idea of you giving it a try. Dimash enjoys others singing his songs as well. I think if you feel inspired to give it a go you should. If you get negative comments please just ignore them. Some fans get a little crazy. I enjoyed watching all 3 of your reactions. You might like to see the live version of Screaming. The one on Idol hits which was done in China is usually a fan favourite. I think you would enjoy it. Gloria Wu has a channel that has some of the pre-production stuff for that performance as well as a bit of cheeky after part to it. So if you like a little look into his mind you might enjoy the version from her channel.
Igor Krutoy is playing the piano and came out if retirement after seeing Dimash perform...they have worked on numerous songs together... check out Ogni Pietra (Olimpico) which was specifically written for Dimash...it is more operatic but really showcases his vocal ability. Disagree with your DS comment...I think his raw pronunciation adds to the charm of the performance. Dimash is still learning English which has an entirely different alphabet system on top of just trying to speak it. (Kazak and Russian are his home languages). Don't know anyone that can sing in 12 languages and now be able to have a conversation in English after only a couple years. Not having the "mixing/sound engineering" keeps it more real. Dimash one of a kind singer. His unique style and arrangement of the songs is amazing. The piano guy is Igor Krutoy, Singer, Composer and Writer famous in Russia. Maestro Igor Krutoy on the piano is the joint composer with Dimash of this song, words by Lara Fabian and the arrangement is by Erlan Bekturin, Dimash's "brother"/ best friend. Backing vocals are Dimash. This was sung at the Kremlin Palace at an event for a famous Russian fashion designer, highly exclusive.....it's (haute couture) high fashion, hence the red suit with gold silk lining. The performance was a gift from Dimash for International Womens Day, and it was between two of his solo world concerts. Dimash is always a very busy boy but his 5 remaining concerts have been postponed until March 2021 because of the covid-19 pandemic. Stay safe everyone.

One aspect, often overlooked, is the way Dimash will often sing 2 1/2 measures of a phrasing without any pause for a breath [where most singers would grab a quick breath in between lines and phrasings -- and many times will also add in vocalized riffs or melisma. He makes use of his full breath control impeccably. One thing he does (he's an avid swimmer) to strengthen his lungs is to do slow underwater laps of a pool -- building his control, and practicing maintaining a calm, relaxed focus. You can see where it helps when he sings as well because he's never in a panic wondering if he will run out of breath for the intended phrase.

The staccato is done in falsetto, not whistle tone 🤣 He generally goes whistle in range 7th and 8th. But yes, crazy eh. His first octave voice also sounds beautiful, especially in his recent concert.

Dimash was discovered to have perfect pitch at the age of three and still does vocal training for 3-5 hrs. a day every day. The gentleman on the piano is Igor Krutoy. He composed the music for this song and Lara Fabian wrote the words expressly for Dimash. After hearing Dimash sing "Sinful Passion", Igor came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. He stated there was no voice for the music he wanted to compose until he heard Dimashs' voice. He always looks at Dimash like a proud father when they perform. Whenever he is accompanying Dimash on stage, it is because he wrote the song. I think except for Mademoiselle Hyde.

Interesting to note: Igor is a master composer, pianist, and music mogul (Forbes estimates his net worth at $13 Billion). He retired at age 60 in 2014, but came out of retirement in 2018 to compose songs and accompany Dimash on the piano. You will see him playing for Dimash in many performances.

Igor Krutoy (pianist) is a Russian composer who came out of retirement when he heard Dimash, and apparently some of his compositions could never be sung until Dimash. Igor Krutoy also sponsors a Russian teenager Diana Ankudinova (a contralto) to enhance her music studies. You can watch some of her music videos.
