I wish they would change the pitching rules for softball. I think the pitcher should have their foot on the pitcher's rubber at the time of the release. The way it is now, the pitcher is 3' in front of the rubber at the time of release.

The pitcher does not get a hop and a step before releasing. When did the rules change? The pitcher already has all the advantage. And since when has the batter been allowed to run out of the batter's box before making contact with the ball? Why ignore the rules?
