- May 14th 1988, Madison Square Garden, AR 40th Anniversary Celebration.
Deb was the most recent signing to make an appearance at the event.
Has anyone already posted? Cause I couldn't find it so far.
One Month and 10 days later she graduated from Sanford Calhoun High School, and this song hit #1 on the Billboard charts making her the youngest singer/ songwriter/ producer/musician to hit #1. She still holds that record. 30 years later.
"Foolish Beat" is definitely one of the best Ballads ever made. That song still gets me every time. Especially during the chorus.
E , ela realmente canta 😭
Shes like an angel coming down from heaven her voice and looks so perfect.
My super idol Debbie! I won't tired listening to your beautiful songs 😍
I will always love you, Debbie Gibson. Your music is beautiful and you are gorgeous.
I remember watching this live on TV, I was like 22 years old at the time and even though I was into Rock Music and only watching to see Led Zeppelin perform that night, I was totally impressed with this young girl... Debbie Gibson had so much talent for such a young girl... Can you imagine the pressure that was on her that night, she was surrounded by Musical Icons and on such a Huge night and yet she still performed great... I'm still amazed by her talent... Thanks for posting this...
I heard Zepplin stunk up the joint and the Jimmy Page was hammered.
OMG 😍😍😍!!! Debbie Gibson was insanely gorgeous and talented. As a teen boy when she sang this, I was mesmerized by her beauty...
Look how cute she was. That's sweet 👍
she wrote this song at 14, after being inspired by the Wham! song "Careless Whisper" she asked George Michael personally to produce this song but he was busy recording his LP "Faith" so she produced it herself. She was also sick as a dog with pneumonia when she recorded it
Rhianna Barr-Beaumont. Life is so cruel that everyone has to get old . No matter how gorgeous he or she used to be, they will end up losing their outside beauty. Sad...
Ela compôs está bela canção, há 35 anos atrás ,após escutar careless whisper do extinto duo inglês wham, que tinha o saudoso George Michael
Así es!!
Kids: Before Britney. Before Taylor. Before Billie. There was the one and only Debbie Gibson. This song might be 35 years old but it's so timeless!
Technically its almost 40..40 years in 1985!
she had the sweetest voice.
Great memories .I can remember as a teenager what a great time in my life..Brings back happy tears.
I say the same thing, this remember me when I was 15 , and I was in love so deep. it takes me back to those asleep nights. I am from Chile, so far away but I feel just like you.
😇 I feel like in heaven when I hear Debbie Gibson's voice💗💖💞💕
I heard this song since i was about 10 years old now i still love it.
Another lovely performance by my favorite girl in music. It just amazes me how well she could sing at such a young age...and do it like a veteran! She is my original princess.
Fantastic. Such a talent. Miles better than anyone today and no wonder she was on my bedroom wall all through my teens
wow, i remember this song, i falling in love for Debbie !!
This is one of my very favorite songs from Debbie Gibson, LOVE the 80's!!
Always Deb
Ang galing talaga ni Debbie Gibson...
Debbie Gibson had her moment, she enjoys and give to the worldthe most impressive talent voice ...nobody in the actually can sing like her
This was back in the day when teen singers were famous because of their talent. Nowadays, it seems like teen singers a dime-a-dozen and pop out of the woodwork from the Disney channel factory. Not saying none of them have talent, but its a hit n miss proposition when you're throwing things against the wall to see what sticks.
I Love this song, I have a beautiful memories!!!
JA ME ACABEI DE AMOR, FUDIDO DE PAIXÃO, OUVINDO ESSA MUSICA HÁ 30 ANOS...KKKKKKK DLC D+
she had the best sax player
2018 I am still listening to this wonderful songs 👍
Debbie started playing piano at age 4, and was a classical piano prodigy by the age of 6. Plus she wrote her first song at age 5 (Make Sure You Know Your Classroom)
Very good song by debbie gibson foolish beat
I had no idea she actually played piano. Wow, I love her like 100x more now.
SomethingTidal since the age of 4
Y no me canso de esta hermosa canción bellísima y hermosa voz
This was the Atlantic Records' 40th anniversary event, which also featured a Led Zeppelin reunion.
At 16 years old, this young lady wrote, recorded, and mixed this song all by herself. One month after this performance, this song would hit #1 on the hot 100
All five songs Debbie performed that night became top 25 hits, including this one, which of course went to #1. She was all of 17 at the time.
I love this song .80's
Esto si era música, dichoso de haber vivido esa epoca.
Sempre serei fã desta maravilhosa deby gibson
Aww come, on how cute is Debbie
🤕🤕😔🥺❤love 1989
I Love you ! Debbie Gibson. From Chile !
Debbie was such a cutie pie then Ahhh 80's rocked!!!
She liked both photos on my Instagram this week.! ♥
Very real!!! Awesome!! So better than today's over processed stuff. Excluding the ones who actually still do some raw stuff. I.E. rock bands......but even them sometimes. ;) Lol. Great vid!
เพลงนี้ชอบที่สุดในชีวิต
Debbie Gibson arrasou e partiu corações, cantando ao piano, ao vivo no Madison square Garden, já 32 anos atrás, com suas belas e marcantes canções, obvio de autoria própria
So cool to listen to all the real instruments being played and the clean unprocessed voice Deb has. You never hear "real" performances like this anymore. I would much rather hear all the little imperfections here then some fake bs.

This is some good unedited stuff
embalo d muitas paixões...
Madson square Garden, onde também, a Ivete Sangalo se apresentou ao vivo
Esse solo de sax, no início, ficou foda, pqp
She played it cool here & gave a great performance but you could just tell in her face she was nervous as FUCK! (X-p
Lol! Nervous? She was born to do this
@@Alexa-eo4tf : Born or not "to do this" let's keep the human element in realizing she IS & no matter how many times she's been on stage, the pressure to look, sound, & be your best can be nerve racking sometimes.
Ah, the good old days when pop singers actually sang their songs rather than rip off their fans by lip synching.
I had this taped and then someone recorded over it I was kinda mad
is in vcr recording great work
Tiene muchos discos y algunos son bastante buenos... Busca un poquito! ;-)
❤❤❤❤
Song is structurally very interesting. Title is only uttered once right at tbe middle of the song. The climactic bridge is almost Broadway esque
Linda
Assistindo em 2023 🇧🇷
Don't compare this talented artist with a plastic product...
Me too!
Veveta & debbie, tudo a ver
@ukgladiatorsfan
she is way more talented....she can do more than just sing!!!!
@ukgladiatorsfan you mean she could have slapped Britney with both sides of her hands and still be able to play the piano? LOL. yup...I still love this girl after all these years. Fantastic.
Way to go girlfriend you're doing it it's like you're going into my dream and now it's my turn I'm going after your dream cuz you're my girl I'm going to treat you like one because I love you and I want you to Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas it's on me
WHEN DO WE CALL U SIR....................WELL RIGHT WHEN I HIT THE BARSTOOL
What a shame she did bad career moves. She could be considered as some kind of legend if she released something less sexual and something more deep like this after Electric Youth :(
Well, the issue was in pertaining to your 6 year old long ago comment is that the industry tried to sexualize her & she wasn't about it like Madonna & such were back in the 80's & 90's. She felt that her music, message, & talent for singing was enough to sell in making a name for herself other than her body as a "sexual image."
So she decided to go to New York to do Broadway shows & musicals hence writing & producing her own stuff on the side & in some cases behind the scenes even. I felt pop is what made her a star & put her on the map over broadway, but she knew what was asked of her in continuing down that road. It's pretty clear today of what "sells" as "pop" now in "talent." :-(
Deb could have beaten Britney Spears hands down back then... :P
Cliff D of course! Debbie was almost 18 and Britney was only 6!
Frankly the backup singers were bad. Only when they silent that Debbie's voice comes so powerful. No wonder she was the star singer haha
I listened to this again six months and forgot this statement and i replied woth this sa establishment. I'm consistent haha
Seems the beat was a Little faster than the original
Peter Robann Sobrepena that happens all the time in live performance. Unless the artist makes a specific effort to slow down the tempo, live versions of songs are almost always faster, or at least seem faster, than the recorded versions. You notice it more in ballads but it happens with up-tempo songs too. The adrenaline rush of being on stage, I guess
DEBBIE GIBSON........YA IM TIRED...............TIRED OF BEING CALLED SIR TIRED OF BEING KISSED EVERY TIME I REACH FOR MY COFFEE CUP
i grew up to her stuff and i really liked her music and style - though it was good for its time and her voice though again was good for its time would not work today.
however i'd still rather listen to her than miley. she looked good when young, not so good now, pity
Que horrible el coro para esta canción y la batería se apura mucho...
