Hi, great video. You make the piping look so easy and wonderful. Can I ask what was the cord you used and what diameter is it. Also at the 43min mark you glue in something. Is that for strength to stop it from stretching and to add the inlay detail? At the 47:22 mark you stick down some tape what is that and why. Sorry for the questions I just am very interested and am loving your videos. Cheers
The core material used for piping is plastic and the thickness is about 1.5mm.
However, you can use leather cores of similar thickness.
And the black tape you mentioned is to prevent stretching of the leather, and the material is nylon tape with a thickness of about 0.2mm.

The black adhesive backed paper and black tape roll. I go in the store to describe it and they have no idea what I’m talking about.

It is a nylon adhesive tape with a thickness of about 0.2 mm.
If you don't have one, you can just apply some glue to a thin nylon cloth and use it.
I used to do that too at first.

What is 0.06t measurement equal to? I'm in usa, we use inches, yards, feet...
I think "T" stands for thickness. I don't see 0.06T, but I do see 0.6T, which would be .6 mm, or 1.5 oz leather.
0.6t = 0.6mm.

At minute 7:53 you cut off a piece of paper backed self adhesive black tape, I assume it’s a stabilizer? I have never been able to find this product, can you share its name? Thank you.
