Great video and project. It turned out great. It is nice to see projects that don’t require you to be a professional woodworker that has an expensive shop and all the related tools that most of us don’t have and can’t afford. Thanks for giving the dimensions and step by step details.
Matt, thanks for a short and to the point video; and also for the cut list. I came across a couple of your videos last night and am now a new subscriber. I'll be furnishing a small guest house that my wife and I have on our property and we're going with a farmhouse theme, so I think that these tables and one of your coffee tables will be perfect. Thank you!
Thank you for the kind words and also for subscribing! It’s great to know that this design will make its way to your home! Let me know if you have any questions with your build!
To avoid spring out with brad nailers, staplers, framers, etc., always keep the gun perpendicular to the mating board. In this case, the table apron is the mating board. Nail deflection typically occurs when the nailer is parallel with the mating board.
I found one of your farmhouse table builds earlier today. When I went to subscribe I saw that I already had. I’ve been home sick today and binge watching UA-cam. A lot of your videos. After watching this one I realized this is the video that I first found and had subscribed to your channel from. Guess I need to hit the notification bell because your channel never shows up in my suggested videos. Thanks again for sharing your builds.
I was trying to show you the table I built just like this one but idk how to share pictures. Ima new wood worker BTW thank you for the plans I really do appreciate it.
This looks amazing! I'm making this my first home DIY project, but I'm wondering if furring strips are sturdy enough for holding something on the heavy side, like a couple dozen water bottles. From what I understand, furring strips aren't known for their durability. I'll be using screws from a pocket jig rather than the brad nails for the legs, so I'm hoping it holds up!
Thanks 👍🏻 if they’re weight bearing, I’d probably reinforce them with screws. You could also swap out the legs for 2x4s which would further increase the stability
Great video. These are simple and look like they came together pretty easy. You have a great rustic farmhouse style. Thanks for the dimensions as well. I would love to make a set. I've seen another video of yours. Found it again today and saw that I had already hit "like" on it. But apparently must have forgotten to subscribe. I am subscribed now. Thanks again for sharing.
I’m not sure if there’s a specific formula, it would likely be fine for a small fish tank, but I would support the frame with screws in addition to the nails 👍🏻
Brillant and excellently explained. One question if I have no Brad nails, I can't use screws to attach top and bottom as side boards are to narrow. Any suggestions?
im not sure quiet to understand what you meant here Cut the 1x4 to 21” (x4) and 14.5” (x4) do you mean i cut the 1x4x8 to 14.5 (x4) after i did the 21 (x4)
If interested, I made a full set of plans with dimensions available at the following link: mmccwoodshop.etsy.com/listing/1716516025 To answer your question, one 1x4 board will be used to cut the longer pieces, and another (different) 1x4 board will be used to cut the longer pieces.
Hello there Matt, I came across your video, and I love it. I want to do this but I want to put mirrors on the table to make it elegant , what can I use to attach the square mirrors to the table, because I want the mirrors to be on the front of the legs as well as the top and bottom shelf?
Hey Tanya! Sounds like a cool idea! I would try to have the mirror mounted in some type of frame, if the frame is wooden then you could use some type of bracket to secure the frame to the legs of the top (do it on the back side of the frame so you wouldn’t see the bracket or screws). Hope that helps!
Nice table. Will look good in my farmhouse. I bought the home right sprayer through your link. Will be perfect for my projects. What type of paint do you spray with it?
Thanks Mike! I use Valspar latex paint and have had great results with the sprayer! One of my my best and most useful decisions to get the sprayer for sure!
Plans including the dimensions and full cut list are available at this link! mmccwoodshop.etsy.com/listing/1716516025 The materials you'd need to make these tables can be found in the description!
It depends on the quality of finish I want, these were more of a rustic look, so it’s likely I didn’t use primer (I can’t remember what exactly I did on these).
Thanks, there’s no specific number/rule. I use probably 6-7ish in each spot that I’m working on. It’s probably overkill but brad nails are inexpensive so I just go way overboard
You could always measure two sides, then a hypotenuse when the sides connect. Use a triangle calculator to see what the distance should be.. it’ll be much simpler to just grab a square haha. Another thought would be to grab something square (computer/printer paper) or similar and try to use that as a square.

Nice Build! Great details on how to make an end table. I want all your tools :)
Thank you! You can find the link to all the tools I used in the description!
Thanks Matt! This was my first ever project and you made it so simple! Going to make your other bigger farm house table next!
Thanks for the feedback! Good luck with the farm house table build!

I’m not sure if there’s a way to share pics on UA-cam 🤔 glad the video and plans were helpful though!
Nicely done man. I recently built 4 tables similar to this for my wife.
Nice!! Can't go wrong with a big batch of tables!
Awesome project buddy will try those tables myself thanks for upload this videos💪👍👊

This is nice man!
Thanks! 👍🏻
How much weight would a table like this support? Thinking of building a similar one for a fish tank, which can get quite heavy.
I’m not sure if there’s a specific formula, it would likely be fine for a small fish tank, but I would support the frame with screws in addition to the nails 👍🏻

Nice!, would like to build something similar using same procedure.
Give it a shot! 👍🏻
Brillant and excellently explained. One question if I have no Brad nails, I can't use screws to attach top and bottom as side boards are to narrow. Any suggestions?
Brad nails will be your best bet. You could try just glue, or using the old fashion hammer and nail method with the smaller nails you can find 👍🏻

Great video. Do you sell them?
Thanks Dale! Yes, this set was sold locally
@@mmcc_woodshop6288 Can you give me an idea on what you are selling them for? Thanks
I sold this set for $120. I feel like they could likely sell for more though
Awesome
Thanks Juan!
@@mmcc_woodshop6288 you are welcome my friend. I'm on medical leave for a few weeks because diabetes, this project is perfect as a therapy, thank you.
Nice job though seems like the legs don’t sit flat, I saw table tilt slightly every time you moved it
Thanks, I may not have had the aprons square when I assumed them.. easy fix 👍🏻
Thank u bro
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Hello is there anyway you could give me a break down of what I would need to make one table please?

Do you not use primer?
It depends on the quality of finish I want, these were more of a rustic look, so it’s likely I didn’t use primer (I can’t remember what exactly I did on these).
How much does these run for a price??
It depends on your market area but realistically these could sell for anywhere between $50 - $150 for a pair
alright thanks
