#Shogran

From Shogran, jeeps are available at cheap rates to visit siri lake and paye top. One we hired just for rupees 3000 for a return trip. There is no paved road but a path in the dense forest of Shogran with rocky and muddy track. Only 4*4 jeeps may travel on this route. The whole path is exceptional in peace and beauty of nature. At 30 min. drive from Shogran, there is Siri lake that is actually not a lake but a small water pond famous as lake. Couple of restaurants are available at Siri with tea and snacks options. Further 15 min. drive to Paye top and 15 min. trek to green meadows of Paye with breathtaking view of Makra peak.
Meadows are a camping ground where personal camps may be erected. I would recommend camping at paye top where couple of restaurants and hotels are also available. Paye top is at 10200 ft height from sea level.
From Paye top, peaks of three mountains can be viewed named Malka-e-Parbat, Musa ka Musalla and Makra peak. You'll be lucky to get a view of Nanga Parbat if weather is clear. Trekking to Makra top can be done but it takes one full day including return trekking.
