this has gotten me more curious as to how vision defect tests are developed! there must be oh so many decisions to work through - finding different sets of hues that would likely look similar to people with a range of potential colour defects, and figuring out the most effective way to present them so that the patient can easily understand how the test works and give honest answers.

Then I tried the Colorlite test and couldn’t make out the direction of the C in the cards toward the end. You’d have to do the test properly I’m afraid 😁

@@SRPASMR I'll have to ask them to give it to me next time I get an eye checkup. Would be crazy if all this time I was color blind lol!

Serious question, how much free time do you have on average between the UA-cam content, TikTok content, and overall online presence?

4:20 So I just went on a 20 minute mania-fuelled journey doing Tritan tests and asking friends to do them too because I couldn't see the difference between the dots. Then I realized my screen has a blue light filter...

Doctor, when I checked with one eye, at 6:25, I thought all the color circles in the top left corner are of the same color. Is that normal? I think I got the rest of them correctly and when I look with both eyes at once, it seems a little bit more clear.

I love that your videos are so educational! But how does a person acquire a color defect??? Is it trauma to the eye? And how does their vision work if one eye sees things differently than the other? Eyes 🤷🏻‍♂️ Fascinatingly complex creatures.

😍 these dots are some of my favorite things with easy Q&A with actual info... I'd love an optometry trivia video or a flashcard vocab test just to see how much I've learned 😅
