- Here is a strong Oath of Devotion PALADIN Build Guide in Baldur's Gate 3. The Paladin in general is really strong. But if you really want to stick with the oath of devotion, then this is a solid build for you to use. I also cover some tips and tricks that you can employ while using this class. But the main thing you want to be doing as a paladin is smiting. The amount of damage that you can get from smite is incredible, and it also can stack with things like radiating orbs.
The damage and tankiness of this build is incredible, definitely a powerhouse as the Paladin brings a lot to the table. You can add a level of War Cleric at level 11 for the war priest charges but that is up to you. The paladin should always smite smite smite!

Everybody picks vengeance cause it’s the hardest to break supposedly but I really dig devotion
Oathbreaker is my favorite honestly because of animate dead and aura of hate ☠️ but all Paladins are good, because divine smite.
Paladin 2 / Bard 10 or Paladin 5 / Warlock 7 are also really strong smite builds, but 12 Paladin any oath is perfectly viable!
People like vengance because it's good at hunting down enemies.

The prob i had with devotion is that most of the stuff you do break the oath lol

Like, Devotion paladins can do these thing's, but not these thing's etc.

oath of devotion is the easiest to break??? oh my god its been absolutely smooth sailing for my character and the oath 😭
Good job i broke my oath a couple times hahaha. Taking the hags hair was my first
But... Oath of Devotion doesn't break when you take the hags hair...
But yeah, easy to break is very relative. It is easy in the sense of, their are a lot of opportunities to break it. But compared to other oaths, it is pretty cut and dry, it is hard to break Devotion by accident in a good playthrough. Ancients and Vengeance have less opportunities to break it, but they tend to be more of a suprise.
Which paladin hybrid is most op?
Lockadin, Bardin, or Sorcdin?
Personally I think Lockadin for the 3x attacks with pact weapon or the Bardadin with the smite flourishes! But all three are phenomenal

Yeah Devotion or Ancients are fairly easy compared to Vengeance!
@@JasonDunna yeh when I did lockadin realised that may actually do pure paladin one day but doing 4 playthroughs right now I keep making new ones 😭
@@Emolilyx Pure Paladin is strong, but it’s too boring for me personally so that’s why I like Lockadin Sorcadin or Bardadin! I feel you on that, I respec my main character every long rest it seems hahaha
@@JasonDunna lol it's mostly astarion I respec from ranger /assassin to monk back and forth but I do respec my spells alot. my ongoing playthroughs are druid/cleric (act 3), barbarian rouge (act 1), bardadin (act 2), ranger (act 1) 😭
