You have the most calmest fishing channel I've come across so far. To me, you are the Mister Rogers of fishing. Please keep it that way and never change!
It's been years since I Went fishing. Use to go quite often... I live in KS so lakes & farm ponds mostly bass & catfish, but your videos have inspired me. I think I'll take my son & daughter fishing this spring and see if we can't catch some dinner. THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION!
Your Zoffinger oasis has really come together nicely! Great video. You taught me how to target sheepshead back when you had the red kayak and hand reel. Still use hand reel often off my dock and kayaks.
There are only a few things in this world better than the end of this video. This is how we are suppose to live. Not going to lie, Marty, I am a little jealous. I hope I can make it Florida one day and rent a kayak from you.
That is awesome! To get bait, catch, fillet and eat all in the same spot! I cant wait to visit. Got to hang out with you at the first meetup and look forward to sharing more stories in the future!
Hi,Marty 👋🏻👍🏻👊🏻 Awesome video 👍🏻 I always enjoy watching your adventures and catch and cook the last one I seen was with you, Ty and Theresa when y’all had to cook the bait fish so cool 😎Marty I see you have really done a lot of work on your property it’s really looking awesome love the color of the dock and those Adirondack chairs look amazing positioned at the edge where you can see beautiful sunsets and enjoy the outdoors. Thanks for sharing !!!! Danny
Another great informative video. It looks a little chilly in Tampa right now but it sure beats the 20 degrees and snow here in Michigan. Keep the videos coming, and get that kayak business up and running soon!
when you first started talking about catching those sheep heads i was reminded of an old Japanese guy down at the pier scraping poles, we stopped to ask him what he used the barnacles for he said to catch sheeps head, ive yet to try it, but youve reinforced my beliefs for sure now.
I got a mity might rod today because of this video. The only thing I don't like about it is that it does not have a drag mechanism inside it but that doesn't matter when I'm only using it for trout and suckers. Thanks for the great content.
Marty, Look around the mash areas where there are some old oyster beds. Find some Fiddler Crabs (google it if you not sure what it is). Use a bit smaller hook of same style and you will always be able to catch sheep head. Good luck and as always, good video...
Marty! You're UA-cam are the best. There are many great fishing channels, but yours really brings home the subtle nuances of fishing, and life. Been a sub for a couple a years, and look forward to paddling the Pelican off your docks when open!
Wow! I love how Tarpon jump. Excellent video (as is standard with MartyVision LOL).. The manatee scared the bajeezums out of me! My kayak is also 10 ft, but a sit on top... sure makes ya feel small when those guys come alongside! Thanks for my "Marty fix" today! :-)
Love it!! Iv always wanted to try sheepshead I just started going to Galveston for summer vacation and last year I got four red snapper i fried them just like you did in this video and it was awesome
I miss Florida...looks chili today.....nice catch btw 😀... shrimp are like the candy of the sea... But the stuff you show is best....the barnacles and crabs...the best thing is that sheepshead are everywhere. Both sides of Florida....and are plentiful and get really big ..(smart too if they are around people) take care bud.....keep living the dream bro
Awesome video but your oil isn't hot enough when you first put your fish in. This will cause oil saturation in the fish and it won't cook properly next time just wait till it gets to temperature should come out even sweeter!
Marty, this is a super good thumbnail on this video! I clicked from FB even though I’ve seen it before! Love what you’re doing, keep it up! Ima come see you when you can have guests at your place.
I caught a 26 inch sheepshead in a canal on a 4 inch sardine when I was in Tampa a few years back and of all the videos I’ve watched I’ve never seen them to have a fish in their stomach
Marty, Let me know if you want to do a catch clean and cook on that new fire pit with some good old cast irons and dutch ovens. Over here in Kissimmee and fish TB a lot. My subs say they want to see a collaboration video.
Hell yeah bro all the way from Galveston, Texas I love your videos! I am fishing for sheephead tomorrow morning and i will definitely be scraping barnacles wouldn't know how to use this technique if it wasnt for you, keep them lines tight brotha ill send you photos of the days catch!
Awesome video Zoffinger! Loving the content on your channel. I never really thought to use barnacles. I knew they ate them but never thought of putting it on a hook. Thanks for the tip!
Great video ! I like your down to earth approach. Years ago on a bridge at the south end of Anna Maria island, I watched a guy slaying the sheepshead under the bridge in a little 12' boat. I asked him what he was using for bait, he said "tube worms". After visiting 3 bait shops, someone finally told me you can't buy tube worms. You have to go out at low tide to sand flats and dig them with a pitch fork. I never did get a chance to dig tube worms. To this day, I still wonder if it works.
Lindsay Thomas Yes, your post takes me back to the late 70's when Marco Island was the best kept secret . Man a lot has changed. Those tube worms will out fish alot of baits for a variety of species. What you wrote is true. Have a long shovel and dig a good 12 inches below the tube. They are very fast and the tube goes down surprisingly deep. They will also bite. Best bait hands down. Zoffinger...sheepshead can be tight to the piling and usually on the down current side. When fishing gets slow they might be suspended and be higher up on structure.
Black drum have the same color pattern as sheepshead, and are closely related to the red drum, aka redfish, and taste just as good. Sheepshead taste a little better. When I was growing up, when we caught one, we usually caught both.
You really should try House Autry’s Hushpuppy mix. Very simple to cook some awesome hush puppies. Also House Autry Onion Ring Breader…….the only mix I’ve found that sticks to the onion slices.
I just watched this video again and noticed you trying to dock your kayak I found a really cool way to improve and make that easier in a book I can give you the name of the book or I can send you a picture of it if you email me at teak03@icloud.com!
Is it just me, did I miss something?..Does that dock now look freshly painted and somewhat revamped?...not sure if I missed a post, but your landing looks Fab Poo my man.
Marty, does a jack actually taste good with that recipe? Keep up the good videos! I am a 14 year old who is living the fishing dream! Hope to be living exactly as you soon
Hey Marty, I'm going to be heading down your way for a month or so. Got family on Boca Grande. Would love to fish with you. Got a hobie pa 14 that I'm bringing. Getting my UA-cam channel started too.
I've noticed you've been using the Pelican Argo 100 a lot more than you used to. With the options of all the different Pelican's that you have available what made you start using that one?
with jack you should probably bleed them right after you catch them. you can dispatch them the same way here but then cut the end of the tail or the gills out to get all the blood out while its still pumping. usually helps with the taste.
Get this man a bud light sponsorship. Thanks for always providing quality content
I really don´t get how you can drink bud light, to me that stuff is beer flavoured water.
I know I watch all of his videos and in almost every video he has a bud light.
Im a coors banquet kinda guy myself, but bud light will hit the spot on a hot day of fishing just as well!
Paul Panzer ....Same.
The place is looking good. You have to let us know when you are open for business. I'll book a trip as soon as you are ready.
Seriously can't wait to rent a kayak at your place when you get it going
Love these catch and cook videos! Keep 'em coming, mate!
You have the most calmest fishing channel I've come across so far. To me, you are the Mister Rogers of fishing. Please keep it that way and never change!
Finally back to what I liked watching you for in the beginning!
I love the laid back nature of your videos. You're the man!
Love me some black drum and sheepshead! sitting around a fire overlooking, the bay, eating fresh fish and drinking cold beer, that is LIVIN!
Your Zoffinger oasis has really come together nicely! Great video. You taught me how to target sheepshead back when you had the red kayak and hand reel. Still use hand reel often off my dock and kayaks.
Really like your ‘Catch and Cook’ videos! Every recipe of yours seems to be very delicious. Can’t wait to try them!
There are only a few things in this world better than the end of this video. This is how we are suppose to live. Not going to lie, Marty, I am a little jealous. I hope I can make it Florida one day and rent a kayak from you.

Got to hang out with you at the first meetup and look forward to sharing more stories in the future!
This reminded me of your earlier videos and very satisfying to watch. Such a humbled and blessed life you have.
Always enjoy your videos but you also pass out some great information as well. Thanks Marty...
Hi,Marty 👋🏻👍🏻👊🏻
Awesome video 👍🏻 I always enjoy watching your adventures and catch and cook the last one I seen was with you, Ty and Theresa when y’all had to cook the bait fish so cool 😎Marty I see you have really done a lot of work on your property it’s really looking awesome love the color of the dock and those Adirondack chairs look amazing positioned at the edge where you can see beautiful sunsets and enjoy the outdoors. Ah yes, the fishing and cooking Marty. So glad to see a video like this, haven't in a while. Keep up the great work Marty, love the videos!
nice place to live, I miss this kind of video thanks matry
I got a mity might rod today because of this video. The only thing I don't like about it is that it does not have a drag mechanism inside it but that doesn't matter when I'm only using it for trout and suckers. Thanks for the great content.
That looks good. I have to try that next time I’m in Florida.
Also great tip about fishing with the barnacles, will try that also 😃😃

Awesome looking meal Marty.. once again very useful information.

first time seeing your work
AMAZING
thank you
Jeff

That will be fun when my time come to your place and have fun. enjoy your Vlog and keep up!
using the bait that the fish eat naturally is a perfect idea. Great work on the catch....
I like the trucks and kayaks being used to block the wind! Lol
Man, if you keep up with this quality of videos you'll be hitting the 200k subs mark in no time. Great video, and one of my new favorites
Nice carpet job on the deck it looks professionally done
You're hilarious! I frickin' live for these videos!
Love it!! Iv always wanted to try sheepshead I just started going to Galveston for summer vacation and last year I got four red snapper i fried them just like you did in this video and it was awesome

Debbie Downer for the win!
You consider someone offering you a better way to do things a downer, huh?
I admit, Iwas disappointed with myself when I dropped that first piece in.
Everyone has done that a time or two; then you take the first piece out early and nibble on it while you cook the rest in 350 degree oil.
I specifically scrolled down looking for this comment... I was thinking the exact same thing... Other than that this video has great content
YUM YUM !! Tartare sauce as well !!!!,now you really are living the dream !!
Love your vids, been a fan since the early days. Maybe one day I could swing by and kayak. I'm literally 45 mins away from you👍👍
Hello Marty , finely back fishing from your dock, at home with your dogs happy you must be!
Simple living at its best. Don’t know why we make life more complicated than it needs to be 🙂
Marty, this is a super good thumbnail on this video!
I think the dogs were showing some interest in the dinner... lol
great catch...the place is looking awesome.....living the dream....

If we had Jacks here, I'd try one. Nice fire ring ya got there.
Your videos are so peaceful

Marty, I always knew you were a double dipper! :) . Love it man.
Lovin those pictures of u edited. They are really funny :)
Another reason why i love to live there , baits are every where "if you're willing to take the time to get them ".
great video man. if i ever get the chance i'm coming down there to fish.
Nicely done. :) Very enjoyable and interesting content. Somewhat similar to how I go about fishing for wild trout while fly fishing.
Awesome vids as always!💯💪👊LET'S GO!!!
ELITE BASS STICK ...yoooo
Dude you are living the life my friend!
Man just looking at your video now I'm going to have to cook the red fish I have in my freezer tomorrow for lunch
I need to see some more action on that Mitey Mite please and also great video keep it up.
I normally use recycled corn from the pot in the morning for sheeps. I think they like the scent the corn provides.
Marty I like the fire pit you need a cooking great for it and some cast iron pans.
Love the view at the end of the video
You really should try House Autry’s Hushpuppy mix. Very simple to cook some awesome hush puppies. Also House Autry Onion Ring Breader…….the only mix I’ve found that sticks to the onion slices.
How dare you say Pesky Mangrove Snappers, I can’t find enough! I’m just kidding they can be pesky when using shrimp trying to find some snook lol
Over ten inches, they cease to be pesky ;^)
I just watched this video again and noticed you trying to dock your kayak I found a really cool way to improve and make that easier in a book I can give you the name of the book or I can send you a picture of it if you email me at teak03@icloud.com!
that looks really good Marty! i am hungry now ! lol
my experience with fish batter I use Mary's house blend compost. Very mild flavor but keeps the essence of thrown and nice crunchy outcome
You don't see too many ice fishing rods in Florida
I use a dock demon for sheephead and snapper here in Tampa myself. Works great when you're in tight quarters and can't use a full sized rod
No doubt. In tight quarters, like under a bridge, next to pylons, a regular rod seems like a handicap.
Wow the place looks great!
You've been slacking z man. Good content. Keep them coming
Love your videos man missing Tampa right about now! Are you planning on doing guided kayak fishing trips in the future?
Man o man, now I'm jones'in for some of that fried up goodness!
Welcome back Marty!
Im loving the setup man!!
Is it just me, did I miss something?..Does that dock now look freshly painted and somewhat revamped?...not sure if I missed a post, but your landing looks Fab Poo my man.
Up here at the Outer Banks, we use Fidler crabs- work great.
Awsome Video! Fishing, Cooking, and Eating! JUST ONE QUESTION: How did you make, the awsome looking, fire pit?
Living the life. Now I'm hungry for fresh fried fish.
Love the vids ... would love to see some yakin vids
Nice to see the fire pit ring. Were you able to move it from your old place, or did you make more molds?
It's a new one.
Marty, does a jack actually taste good with that recipe? Keep up the good videos! I am a 14 year old who is living the fishing dream! Hope to be living exactly as you soon
Awesome video, just plain out awesome.
The pups are like where's my beer n fish?
You will take on the powers of the fish you catch and eat. Pretty soon marty can make drumming noise
Your videos are awesome!
love the channel and i get you eat what you catch sometimes but don't you feel like they're like your pets under your boat?
Hey Marty, I'm going to be heading down your way for a month or so. Got family on Boca Grande. Would love to fish with you. Got a hobie pa 14 that I'm bringing. Getting my UA-cam channel started too.
🇵🇷I love😍 the the hole video🎥, but, I lmao🤣🤣 you trying to put some mayo, and the bottle🧴 is brand new....🤣🤣🤣...✌✌👍👍🇵🇷
Place looks nice!
Marty, load the meat so its near the hook point...
No surprise for finding barnacles after leaving it there as groundbait Marty ;)
Marty! I have been hooking into schools of monster jacks swimming close to the pier, I have your next video idea
awesome video!
I've noticed you've been using the Pelican Argo 100 a lot more than you used to. With the options of all the different Pelican's that you have available what made you start using that one?
If you use the "poke 'em through the eye into the brain" method of dispatch, does it help with the taste of Jack Crevalle?
with jack you should probably bleed them right after you catch them. you can dispatch them the same way here but then cut the end of the tail or the gills out to get all the blood out while its still pumping. usually helps with the taste.
Spike em and bleed em. Straight into a 50/50 slurry of ice and seawater if possible.
I'll take mine with some lemon.MMmmmm. Thanks Marty.
in Daytona Beach area, we always used fiddler crabs... (live) 👍
Dang Marty you make me miss living in St Augustine fla
Never had sheepshead. How would you compare it to flounder or specks?
Barnacles!!!! Ingenious!!!
Great videos.
When the little snapper eat the bait they send a lot of scent into the current. Unhook and release a few and see what shows up.
