Most guides that claim to be a "beginner's guide" end up not even explaining WHAT the minigame is. I really appreciate how detailed this guide is, and how you actually explain the basic concept of it and things like where it's physically located.
The only UA-cam channel that actually does a guide in the shoes of a beginner. I've seen countless guides where people have used their current-BIS to walkthrough a tutorial. Doesn't make any sense when the majority of target audience are BEGINNERS for a reason.
Thank god, every guide I've seen recommends gear that's so out of my reach. I start reading a guide and as soon as I see the first recommended gear, I tab out. Finally a guide tailored to the people who need a guide to complete the task. Thanks for making this!
Josh, make more runescape content like this. PLEASE! Such a realistic guide and super thorough! Would love to see you make a comeback. The game is thriving too!
Your guides are legendary. Having everything broken down step by step and having reasonable requirements is insanely helpful. This guide is miles and leagues above every other for a beginner! Thank you for the fantastic guide!
This guide is so amazing. Runescape was my first ever rpg (like most) that I started playing with my friends when I was around 8 or 9. I got back into osrs due to the mobile component but largely never learned how to do more than copying step by step quest guides and afk training skills. Having money in game was always the biggest struggle for me as a kid and having the ability to buy gold through bonds now that I made enough money for it to be negligible made me feel amazing for about a week until I found that the gear I could buy ment nothing since I still didn't really know how to play outside of my normal session of mediumish quests and afk training. Ive felt like I dont know what I'm really doing and this is everything I've ever needed to get into the game thats been locked off to me for so long. Thank you for going back to this stuff and teaching us noobs how to play the game even after 15 years.
I have wanted to do Barrows since it came out when I was 12 years old. Today, thanks to your guide, I fulfilled a promise I made to my childhood self and actually did it. It was a blast. Thank you.
Thanks so much for this! This is the level of detail I wish all guides had for this game. I'm new (coming back after playing it for like 2 weeks as a dumb kid in like 2006) and I'm finding that most guides for osrs content seem to be catered more as a reminder for older players and a quick overview that isn't quite enough for new players. This is the perfect level of detail that makes me want to go tackle it asap!
You did what every other guide wished they could do and more. I'm going to be taking on Barrows for the first time in my Hardcore Ironman soon, and have been researching them like crazy. With your video, I know the last few things I need to do/prepare before I try my first ever run of Barrows. Thank you very much for the guide and the help.
Thank you so much for this! I'm currently getting into OSRS and after passing total level 1000 I knew I wanted a new fun goal but all the guides I found for bossing were way out of my acheivable element. This helped me set way better goals so I can finally start PvM, cheers!
I just completed my first Barrows ever thanks to this guide! I was always so scared to do it because it seemed like there was loads to do and it was gonna super hard but thanks to you I actually got it done!
I've used your guides for Jad, Vorkath, and Barrows and each time has been my first thanks to your guides. But at this point it's just ASMR. Love the content, keep it up!
Incredible guide, thank you for the amount of detail and explanation included.. helps so much to UNDERSTAND rather than being delegated to, as is so often the case with other 'guides'.
The last guide I watched was a fellow listing random equipment pieces for the first 10 min, then he just immediately went on to kill clips. So thanks dude, this is the content the streets need
It's crazy how simple and easy this minigame is. Like I always avoided it when I made other accounts because it seemed like "scary endgame big boss content OOOO" (that and me either being a F2P kid or only getting a week or two passing interest that burns out), but I watched the video, and I ended up completing a run in sub 4 minutes skipping through the video LMFAO. Two years late to the party but that shows this video still holds up. Thanks!
Amazing guides... I haven’t to date heard all of your guides but you can be sure I def will....you have an awesome speaking voice very clear and easy. To listen to ty for that.... so so informative I’d like to say many thanks and plz don’t stop
I actually love your guides, super helpful and really well done. Second time using it after coming back from a year break from OSRS. Appreciate the effort my dude!
That was a great guide! Can't wait to try it out! You're very thorough and don't explain super fast and jump around like some other guides I have seen that make big details seem like they don't matter.
Fantastic guide, thank you so much! I haven't really played since about 2010 and I can't wait to go back to what was (in my eyes at least), the end goal for combat- defeating the barrows brothers
I really like your guide so far. So many other channels will assume you know stuff already and make it so confusing. Why would I be looking up a guide if I already knew how to do it? Thanks again for the actual beginners guide.
Great video! Really helpful for my first time doing barrows, and on Trailblazer at that! I used the cheapest stuff on your list (though I had to sub some things out), and made it through fine.
Thanks for this. I pretty much did a version of your setup that fits my level and I've done several runs already. My 4th run I saw veracs skirt and got excited I tele'd home only to realize I didn't have inventory space. I remember trying to do barrows as kid and now that I'm older I knew barrows was a thing I wanted to tackle again since back then I was absolutely stupid
I will be attempting barrows for my first time ever once I train my range up, and after watching this video I actually feel prepared! Thank you very much
thanks for this video, helped me do my first barrow run today, i used dplate legs instead and blue dhide, but basiaclly same setup, helped me lots thank u
Neat, thank you :) I only recently-ish started playing, and I usually like to use the wiki to glance over and gleam basic information from and then figure out a strategy from there. But this wiki page was fairly confusing to read when trying to go through it quickly - instead, your video gave me essentially all the information I needed, in less time I'd take to read the page
great guide! got me over my fear of doing this rooted form my childhood xD but for real I got going with my first run before the video was even done. well done amazing guide!
this has been a huge help, thx! what i am doing is (61prayer, equipment is what in the video but on the tankier side, 80cmb, iban staff(u)) i start with dharok, cause of the possible ohko, then with the rest of my prayer ahrim, cause i have low magic def. then just tank the rest of the dmg, since food is cheaper than prayer pots. only keeping one prayer pot in case dharok is in the tunnels. then ring of dueling to the enclave, reset stats, bank if needed than barrows tele back. pretty cheap runs this way.
HAHA! I followed this guide pretty much exactly, used slayer dart instead, and this was my first time ever in barrows, first chest? Dharok's helm! If that isn't beginner's luck I don't know what is! Awesome guide, got me a barrows piece on my first chest :D
I could literally listen to this guy all day. He sounds like someone I'd hear on the discovery Channel. Your videos are amazing! Earned a sub from me! Love from USA!
Yep great guide, just as a side note a cheap alternative for starting out is salamanders, got my first barrows set with them. Banked the runes since you dont need them also had more inventory space for cheap food.
finally a guide that doesn't tell me to have base 80s and max gear or something. I have base 50 combats, I just wanna do something other than whack hill giants! I'll have to go with rune chainbody or a mage top because my range is low but I've also got ibans staff so that should help counteract the lack of d-hide :) Thanks Josh, I'm gonna get just a few more combat levels and then head over and give it a try.
A small tip for those maybe not having a good house, ring of dueling to Ferox Enclave and tabbing back gets you a bank and a full restore fountain for easy resets.
Thank God there is at least one guide that is actually made for noobs lol. I have to watch a guide because I am a noob, I don't know why so many other guides assume I have millions of gp to drop to gear up for barrows.
Thanks for the realistic gear recommendations. The fact that even the wiki has max gear recommendations is hilarious! If someone can afford that gear, why are they doing Barrows???
Great video and very enjoyable guide again! One question, aren't the doors that will or will not open, always the same? Seen this in another guide that was far less detailed than yours! Thanks.
Fantastic guide, looking forward to trying this when I have the right levels. When you die do you lose your items, or do you respawn like some minigames?
what I used to do was use house teleports because they were so cheap BUT on the world where everyone does the bone runs, you can tele to house, leave, and enter the house with regen pools and altars. then use their teleport portal to go to barrows
decent barrows guide, but people should be using the magic vestament robes for massive prayer bonus. and a black d hide top and magic short bow in bag with rune arrows to range ahrim. and maybe a rune legs in case u run out of prayer potions and need some def
great video! If someone was looking to start this how much of each item (rune arrows, pray pots/ other pots would you reckomend to get started, and what sort of starting cash would you need to get going? thank you for all the advice I think I'll start this once I have all the correct gear!
You literally have the most detailed, realistic, inclusive, and cost-efficient guides in all of UA-cam. Thank you, my goodness.
Thank you, i try and make them as easily accessible as i can :)
He is awesome isn’t he??
Yes!!
but sadly by the time you finnished the video which includes like 20 minutes of useless information you will forget what weapon to even use
Nice profiel pic. A iron mask. That's an RuneScape classic

Amaze 💯💯💯💯

Your voice is insanely perfect to listen to, making the difference between good and great content
Your guides are legendary. Having everything broken down step by step and having reasonable requirements is insanely helpful. This guide is miles and leagues above every other for a beginner! Thank you for the fantastic guide!
Cheers James, glad you've found it helpful:)

dude, Same
First time seeing a runescape guide that I can actually follow, did 4 runs of barrows already, thanks a lot man :)
I have wanted to do Barrows since it came out when I was 12 years old. Today, thanks to your guide, I fulfilled a promise I made to my childhood self and actually did it. It was a blast. Thank you.

Better than any teacher I’ve had in school. Bravo

Fantastic guide. From your narration to your editing. You sir are a legend!
This is the best guide for RuneScape I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Thank you so so much!
Fantastic guide, thank you so much! I haven't really played since about 2010 and I can't wait to go back to what was (in my eyes at least), the end goal for combat- defeating the barrows brothers
Great guide! Got me an Ahrim's Robetop first run as I was learning alongside!!
I really like your guide so far. So many other channels will assume you know stuff already and make it so confusing. Why would I be looking up a guide if I already knew how to do it? Thanks again for the actual beginners guide.
It was so refreshing to see a guide that doesn't ask me to spend hundreds of hours and millions of gold. Thank you so much.
Seriously. This was so helpful. I appreciate the time you took to make this!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much, your guide has saved me so much time and grinding. It was also easy to understand as a new player
TYSM bro the amount of guides I watched I’m so thankful I came across this exact guide amazing 🤩
WTF i did not expect to find you giving me a guide for barrows for noobs. Amazing.
Great video! Really helpful for my first time doing barrows, and on Trailblazer at that! I used the cheapest stuff on your list (though I had to sub some things out), and made it through fine.
Gratz Char! Good luck in the league
King status for this. Doing my first barrows run tonight, this made me feel a lot better
i love this guide so much easy to understand loads of info and no unrealistic expectations for new or ironman players
Thanks for this. I pretty much did a version of your setup that fits my level and I've done several runs already. My 4th run I saw veracs skirt and got excited I tele'd home only to realize I didn't have inventory space. I remember trying to do barrows as kid and now that I'm older I knew barrows was a thing I wanted to tackle again since back then I was absolutely stupid
josh i have watched your channel for awhile usually your takes on MMOs in my recommend feed and never knew you uploaded OSRS this is awesome
As a mid level hardcore ironman that never played the game before, I really appreciate your videos, both runescape and MMORPG content.
Cheers dude, keep going on the ironman!
really nice guide !!
I will be attempting barrows for my first time ever once I train my range up, and after watching this video I actually feel prepared! Thank you very much
Good luck dude, let me know how it goes!
thanks for this video, helped me do my first barrow run today, i used dplate legs instead and blue dhide, but basiaclly same setup, helped me lots thank u
I was actually surprised when I realized who made the video.. I am use to your newer MMO videos.. So glad I found more of your content!
Neat, thank you :)

What a FANTASTIC guide. You are excellent for making this video
very helpful and well-explained guide.Thanks!
Best guide ever I feel like I've already been to barrows after watching this
Very well done, truly appreciate the help.
great guide! got me over my fear of doing this rooted form my childhood xD but for real I got going with my first run before the video was even done. well done amazing guide!
Now THIS is a beginners guide. I love it!
Absolutely well done. Thank you so much. This is what I'm always looking for when I search for beginners guides.
This guide helped me and a buddy start our Barrows grind. Thanks!
Thank you!!!! Thanks for this, went from 1 'hell on gielinor' run to a count of 46 and got a torags platebody. Here's hoping I get more!!!!
this has been a huge help, thx! what i am doing is (61prayer, equipment is what in the video but on the tankier side, 80cmb, iban staff(u)) i start with dharok, cause of the possible ohko, then with the rest of my prayer ahrim, cause i have low magic def. then just tank the rest of the dmg, since food is cheaper than prayer pots. only keeping one prayer pot in case dharok is in the tunnels. then ring of dueling to the enclave, reset stats, bank if needed than barrows tele back. pretty cheap runs this way.
Thanks for the guide. I did my first 10 runs ever and got a Karil's Leather Top on my 3rd one!
Thank you this is the best guide I've seen and I watched them all lol
HAHA! I followed this guide pretty much exactly, used slayer dart instead, and this was my first time ever in barrows, first chest? Dharok's helm!
If that isn't beginner's luck I don't know what is!
Awesome guide, got me a barrows piece on my first chest :D
This is the most helpful and detailed guide of them all
I am loving these videos man. Please keep up the great work!
I could literally listen to this guy all day. He sounds like someone I'd hear on the discovery Channel. Your videos are amazing! Earned a sub from me!
Love from USA!
Thanks man, im actually considerring making a runescape style documentary, filmed in game sometime.
@@JoshStrifeHayes That would be awesome! If you need actors lemme know lol
Thanks for this guide! I just made my first ever Barrows run and had a drouble drop.
Next time I meet you in Gielinor, I owe you a cold dwarven stout.
Really really good! Depending on the market buying super restores instead of prayer potions might be cheaper.
Your guide is the best and you should be hired and paid to do voice overs very professional! Cheers mate
Thank you very much first run through I got a Karil's top!!!!
Subscribed just for the fact you make a great guide that helps noobs like me get into mid level content with more ease of access
Your guides make me want to watch the discovery channel lmao
Yep great guide, just as a side note a cheap alternative for starting out is salamanders, got my first barrows set with them. Banked the runes since you dont need them also had more inventory space for cheap food.
Great guide mate ive just got back from being afk for a few years and these are great guides to give me some direction. Keep it up!
Im so happy i seen this comment im in the exact situation lol i still thought slayer dart was king lol
your guides are great, that firecape guide was great
finally a guide that doesn't tell me to have base 80s and max gear or something. I have base 50 combats, I just wanna do something other than whack hill giants! verac helm drop on the first barrows run i did, this guide is golden :)
Gratz siv, well done!
staying due to the swift suggestion of the cup of tea
A small tip for those maybe not having a good house, ring of dueling to Ferox Enclave and tabbing back gets you a bank and a full restore fountain for easy resets.
Best guide by far thank you.
Just did my first PvM run thanks to you!
Congratz, hopefully you'll do many more and get a load of good drops!
It felt like i was watching a documentarie very deep information very well done my friend. Like and Subscribe
Great guide, thanks!
After watching your guide and doing it, Im wondering who can't beat barrows now lol
10/10 guide just did my first barrows run
Great guide!
i think you've helped me earn a second bond thank you looking forward to future videos
Thank God there is at least one guide that is actually made for noobs lol. I have to watch a guide because I am a noob, I don't know why so many other guides assume I have millions of gp to drop to gear up for barrows.
As always nice guide, now i can start doing barrows without 460m on my bank
It will be tough without a 460m bank, but i believe in you.
Still the best guide 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Thanks for the realistic gear recommendations. The fact that even the wiki has max gear recommendations is hilarious!
If someone can afford that gear, why are they doing Barrows???
Great video and very enjoyable guide again! One question, aren't the doors that will or will not open, always the same? Seen this in another guide that was far less detailed than yours! Thanks.
Fantastic guide, looking forward to trying this when I have the right levels.
When you die do you lose your items, or do you respawn like some minigames?
It’s an unsafe mini game, so death will cause you to lose items.
@@Caddynars Thank you, will take some tele tablets
@@ian_strachs Yeah, that’s why Josh recommended an emergency teleport tablet, in case things go south. Always good to have a backup.
Amazing guide! You made it less intimidating for sure
Your videos should have way more views
This dude helped me so much
best guides and you have a real professional voice , a bit like the how its made guy
Josh Strife Hayes more like Josh Strife Lays with guides like these
;)
what I used to do was use house teleports because they were so cheap BUT on the world where everyone does the bone runs, you can tele to house, leave, and enter the house with regen pools and altars. then use their teleport portal to go to barrows

It's crazy the direction this channel took, from osrs to nfts lol
decent barrows guide, but people should be using the magic vestament robes for massive prayer bonus. and a black d hide top and magic short bow in bag with rune arrows to range ahrim. and maybe a rune legs in case u run out of prayer potions and need some def
If I could give you two likes, I would. The barrows paradox will now forever be in my brain, confounding me.
thanks this helped so much!
great video! If someone was looking to start this how much of each item (rune arrows, pray pots/ other pots would you reckomend to get started, and what sort of starting cash would you need to get going? thank you for all the advice I think I'll start this once I have all the correct gear!
you should narrate audio books - also, thanks for the guide.
I did, a runescape audio book actually, its on my channel, the playlist 'trouble and strife'
Great guide, excellent accent
