"Shut Up, Wesley!" - the mission
You are correct.
😂
"You put those planets _right back where you found them,_ young man!"
Ha ha ha.
Shon-"it will be nice to return to the role of explorer"
*Cryptic rolling up their sleeves*-"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man!"
I fully expected Hale's notable, "Well, sh*t." at the ending, but I realized that he wasn't there 😃
The other digitised Jupiter and Mars and turned them to information... It wants to know what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars.... The Other was Vic Fontaine all along. I knew it!
The Borg cube at the end was that the mirror universe equivalent of the artifact?
As a 40k fan just reading "God Emperor Wesley Crusher" when the boss fight started had me shooketh
I'll hope you weighed WAAAAAAGH on him?
@@CRYOKnox In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only WAAAAAAGH.
If only this story arc had some Fabulous Custodes...
@@Geth7777that's your crew.
@@barrybend7189 I wish
The C’qer = Seeker gave me chills. I loved that so much.
That ending makes you wonder what the Mirror Borg are like. Are they less hostile than Prime Borg? Like instead of assimilating worlds they come across they just want to give everyone a big hug?
Moral of this story....no mater how big and bad a man thinks he is....his heart always lies with mom
I other words..the Emperor has mommy issues.
26:56 even though he became corrupted by his ambitions. Wes still cared for his mom.
It's interesting, anyone with a meteorology background can tell you the title of the mission is extremely fitting, if even a bit spoilery to the outcome. The Fujiwara effect in real life is when 2 cyclones (typically tropical) come close enough to each other to interact. There's a bit of a dance that happens, but if one doesn't get destroyed in the process, the 2 cyclones end up merging, kind of like the "new family" at the end.
I found the Borg reveal at the end there rather odd. We already saw Marshall Janeway use assimilation and summon new drones when we played as the Inquisitor on Jupiter station. But I would be all for a Mirror Seven/Borg Queen in the future.
I love how bratty Crusher sounds, perfect encapsulation of what he is
That was indeed an interesting way to resolve this arc. I wonder if there may end of being a council of V'gers/C'Qers?
For the Mirror Universe, that crimson-lit Borg cube is quite the cliffhanger. It's likely not the last one will see of those doppelgangers.
This has been quite the reflective Arc of astronomical proportions. I hope after this STO will end up having more exploration and episodic missions or a return to the building of New Romulus. Regardless, live long and prosper.
I think there is still a lot of episodes STO can do! Q, the Kelvans, Perhaps some of the aliens in Star Fleet Battles, Gorn war of independence, and the Tholians becoming aggressive again! There are still large parts of the Alpha Quadrant which have not been explored yet! Plenty of life in the old dog yet!
@@Tonydjjokerit also after the big war arcs they tend to do exploration arcs plenty of things in the different quadrants to tie up
I haven’t played STO, but since it is beta content, I thought what if they tried something completely new, like exploring new galaxies, etc? There is transwarp and quantum slipstream capabilities after all.
@@Tonydjjokerit Perhaps resolving a few older threads as well. The final fate of Slamek for one thing...another might be an interaction between the Dominion and the New Link which would be interesting to see play out with Odo showing up for it. More with the Lukari/Kentari reunification.
A season that's largely things like that might also be a great point to have some older missions revamped for it such as the Guardian of Forever stuff as part of it.
Perhaps something like having Daniels pop up again to leave temporal orrey access or something, use that as a way to conceal your ship as a historical one and the other starting episodes might be available as semi-holodeck style things like how it is implied with regard to the Jemhadar doing the earlier episodes.
@@AzraelThanatos Excellent ideas AzraelThanatos! I will certainly support you with these!
YESS! A mini-V'ger you can pilot!
"Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
-A well know phrase with unknown source by me.
Machiavelli.
Frank Herbert's perspective was, rather, that power is intensely magnetic to the corruptible. Which would square with it often being people who don't want power who are the most responsible with it.
I still say you should've delivered a line to the effect of "Say it with me, everyone: SHUT UP, WEASLEY!".
I love Mirror Leeta's Crown. It is absolutely too much but it is also perfect
i like the way this ended, wesley and c'qer traveling and learning and growing far away from the level of the terran empire, an all around feel good ending but ooh boy a cliff hanger!
The ending was amazing a great way to humanize the Terrans overall. I'm looking forward to what's going to happen next in regards to the mirror borg.
1:20 "Behold my power!"
3:38 That list includes everyone down there that isn't a Crusher. So MLeeta is in good company.
26:24 Bonk
31:43 This turn into a classical TMP thing - Those Mirror People.
39:55 Oh Those Mirror People are at it again!
In my head canon as I walked away I left the parting shot "I never lost to Tilly voicebox"
You make a very good point. Well played.
This was my favorite arc of recent episodes from Cryptic story wise. I really hope they keep up the interesting story lines. That little cliff hanger is a good start. I love the extra background info in the episodes. I never knew that comic existed about the mirror wesley
For me, it peaked with the Iconian war.
@@angelphoenix7784 that was an amazing arc. I didn't care for the Ja'ula stuff, but I get they wanted a discovery tie in. I would have preferred control though.
From personal experience doing this mission with a Sovergin class, the ending was a breath of fresh air becuase I had finallay caught up with the whole story.
Great work first trying this mission tho.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
So..leeta became empress.. part of me knew that’s what would’ve happened
If you do the Terran Task Force reputation projects in Star Trek Online you're given access to some personal logs that imply that was her ambition, and she had the resources to pull it off.
@@daveh7720 Yeah this is very true.
I'm not surprised by this one bit.
an Alien becoming Empress of the Terran Empire ohh boy...
@@Nichodo hey, upside to that is maybe the Empire will become less speciesist
Here we go looking forward to watching this
TY CI glad to see the STOnline series again!
One minor thing...was what Wesley did when initially merging with C'ger the same digitization, or a different effect? Because if it was digitization, and they're restoring what was digitized...the might be bringing back Killy, too...
Emperor Wesley being saved by his Mom made me cry a bit. I loved the Terran Story Arc, and it came to a beautiful conclusion. Including the fqct that Star Trek TMP is one of my favorite films.
Is it just me or does the compiler look like the Destiny Ascension from Mass Effect when it comes out of the... Orifice.
Everyone has thought that. Many have named their Compiler Science Dreadnoughts in honor of it.
I named mine the USS Demona Benezia.
Cryptic confirmed the Ascension was one of the inspirations for the Compiler
Hello Captain Rik I hope V'ger C'qer Wesley have a nice trip visiting higher dimensions and realities
Ohhhh snap theyre red! Can't wait for your coverage of that storyline!
I wonder if Leeta became empress uncontested or if she's simply become the leader of their part of the empire and a coming arc is an imperial civil war they will want our help with because they are, amenable to the federation's universe.
I like that idea that hard-liners don't want her as Empress, and a war between humans-only vs. the new Empress breaks out, along with Rae'Yeet's faction.
The mini vger looks like the destiny ascension from mass effect
The mini V'ger is really cool.
With the Ent-D deflector dish for an eye.
15:01 and that's where Big E disagrees with you Weasley. Noone is above the Empire you create.
A comfy Star Trek Ending. Perfect.
Are we not going to mention the massive destabilisation the loss of Jupiter alone would cause to the solar system? The Other would be the least of their problems. Gravitational issues alone would be causing absolute havoc!
Dam.. just another wednesday on Starfleet and Capt. Hale's carree I'm right?
STO crew I salute them for bringing such good content and can't wait to see what is next
--- seen what might be next---
OH HELL NO!!!
Wheaton doing a kid voice was surreal and hilarious
Like always you make the storyline of STO awesome, I actually got back playing it because of theses videos. Another chapter ends and another one will start again, can't wait to see what is in store next.
Thank you for putting these together.
So if mirror Wesley wanted to be an explorer, does that mean our Wesley wants to conquer? Kinda makes the idea of him being in charge of a group that goes around manipulating history kinda scary, doesn't it?
That comic was great. Super Data was fun.
TY for the videos, love the series!
I seriously wonder why the current regime at Paramount isn't consulting the writers for STO?
Yes, a lot of what we get are 'Member Berries', but they are mixed with some Excellent story work as well (and I've heard several UA-camrs say that the 3rd Season of "Picard" is little more than 'Member Berries', although we are only 2 episodes in, and I'm liking it so far).
I've often wondered that as well. CBS has all the STO stories in the can, since they approved them all, and could literally lift and shift them onto the screen with a low amount of effort.
Of course, it would mean all the wonderful, highly-paid writers on NuTrek wouldn't have work to do then, I suppose.
That was epic.
Thanks Rick.
Nice tie-in with the Mirror Universe comics.
Well after playing this last night I guess the next time we see the mirror universe we will be up to our armpits with Borg (I need to find a way to make that T8 rifle do more damage if we are going to be fighting more Borg shame I can’t take the micro teleporter and stick it on the tommygun).
Also was it a bug or is my awayteam just dumb? They kept trying to melee the V’ger light beams you know the ones that do heavy damage if you stand next to them! Ye my awayteam was running up to them to give it a big old hug.
This is really exciting.
I get WHY people didn’t like this ending but at the same time the people are just more aggressive versions of their canon counterparts so it’s reasonable also Vger is an extra dimensional being now so it makes since they can redigitize the lost though it does feel like more was gained than lost from that hard fight.
I find it a little sad to hear that some folks didn't like this ending. I liked that the Terran Empire is more humanized now. Not just this Game of Thrones/Star Wars Empire kill everyone in sight type of deal.
@@BurningFlamesofDivineDragon like I love the idea that the only difference between their primary version and their mirror version is there’s a negative aspect of them that’s exaggerated in the Terran universe. Mirror Janeway and Leeta are great examples of this. Leeta everything is just a game of Dani to her while Janeway is basically what everyone paints prime universe Janeway as and Terran Janeway is still an overall decent person. Also think it’s the overall trade off of the whole event past wars in STO you see the scars or differences they caused outside of shiny new ship. Fight with the undine the earth space dock overhaul iconian war the enterprise’s upgrade these being small examples. Outside the lost of life which happens every war there was no even minor change in the prime universes rooster
@@SuperGamefreak18 Mirror Wesley is still an explorer at heart, but the structure and culture of the Terran Empire forced him to pursue power to near self-destruction.
@@Janoha17 oh no I completely agree the characters haven’t changed just their culture. Shinzon is another example of Picard being apart of a regime and a culture altering someone’s view on things.
Lots of people were lost too, ships destroyed by the attacking Terran fleet rather than digitized. There's no restoring them.
Thank you for playing and editing this quest.
Well because i couldn't wait for this to drop to consoles, it here on this channel, i played on PC started as the event campaign started, Grabed some omega XP boosts power leveled to Lvl 15 and did this with my Lieutenant V'Ger and a T2 Constitution class. Scarry easy tbh. Now it soon drops on consoles and Admiral Illia T'ye V'ger will finally put an end to this threat with some help of some Terrans, Grandparent Ilia and Grandgrandparent V'ger, this will be way harder i expecte.
Well despite this spoiler i just love this series. It is what drew me into STO and well that was the reason I restarted my Star Trek collection. So thank you very much.
I find the depiction of the Terrans interesting under all their rough edges and hard shell their still exist very Human motivations and emotions.
What i loved especially about this arc what's the end seeing C'qer and V'ger flying of in the distance. I love that they used the ReCGIed model from the eereleased and redesigned STTMP which was so similar to the Unimatrix Ships from STO beforehand. It feels like a full circle was made.
Again thank your for playing this quest for us.
37:17 Memoirs and biographies aren’t usually the same thing in common parlance, Leeta. Admirals need to know these things.
Idk why but now that I've seen all of these episodes so far, that ending theme just hits right. 🤷😎
It almost feels weird that Leeta is the new empress, and not the Mirror PC. I mean we can't take Admiral Quinn's place because someone's gotta give us missions, but letting our Dark Reflection reach the top of the ladder makes sense to me.
Still Empress Leeta seems cool... in like a scary way.
oh awesomes the BORG in mirrorverse is red i wonder if the headlights are green a total opposite of our own and Admiral Janeway with an implant things are going to get evry interesting im looking forward to whats going to happen next will the Kelvinverse be next and is the BORG there blue and healers and repairers and that V'ger from Kelvin a destroyer or something else untiredly only time will tell and id love to find out and makes you wonder who or what merges with Kelvin V'ger always thought it could be either Spock cause of Logic and knowledge or even Kirk caause he is an only child looking for something much more lways looking to what is going to happen next in "the rest of the story".
We are the borg resistance... will be annihilated
Wil Wheaton is 50 years old and still playing a tweenager somehow.
A skilled entertainer
26:16 Homage acknowledged, Rick. 🎉 😁👏👏📡🩺
What the other does seems like a greater version of beaming with more data.
Here the data aka the person/groups of people/object etc is not transported one place to another but stored.
so let me get this straight, the only reason you (player character)were able to contain the emperor's powers, was because v'ger distracted conqueror (so you could get in) & the mirror universe borg lent some of their nano propes via mirror janeway?
damn, mirror universe borg know how to step up their game. (& know not to mess with higher powers)
So Dark Heart realized he cared.
Painway? THEY REALLY MSKIPPED THE CHANCE TO USE INSANEWAY !!!
That was a very Star Trek way to end this fight.
SPOILERS
Why am I not surprised to see Mirror Leeta as the new empress? XD
Oh sh*t. We are the Empress Leeta Christ . You will subject to our ruling. Resistance is futile.
I just beat this mission the end of the story arc the other night awesome how it went used a herald weapon on my main not too hard either fitting way I just wonder the borg in the mirror universe is STO which is 13 years old going to continue adding to the story to see why marshall janeway is going against the mirror borg again.
Interesting question was raised tho, was mirror universe Hale time displaced like his mainline counterpart? 🤔
We’ll Mark Hale is a TOS Captain so…yes. I guess he was. I wonder how the emperor reacted?
if you were asked to be the voice actor in an official star trek series, would you say yes?
I would like to know because I'm working on a concept script based around the star trek online game and your head cannon with Mark Hale as the main character. Would you be alright with that or should just make a new main character?
Star Trek Armiger Series anyone?
Excellent idea!!!! Let's pitch it to Paramount (owner of the rights to Star Trek)!
@@Tonydjjokerit I know they own star trek. The pitch would be for a new series centered around Mark Hales and the Armiger, Armiger-A, and so on
I would wait until someone who shares fans' passions regarding _Trek_ gains control. The current crop will turn it into yet another clone of _DISCO_ . Mark Hale may be retroactively from that era, but he doesn't have the same dark, depressing feel that a _DISCO_ Trek has.
@@BNuts It's a good idea but there no way of knowing when that will be, and the next person in charge might be way worse.
I am going to wait to see what comes after Star Trek Picard to see how much of the Star Trek Online store is left that I can salvage. And assuming that he would be willing to voice act Mark Hale and / or if he is alright with it. I was going to keep Mark Hale's personality the same and even use some of the same voice lines he gives in the series like the Kobayashi Maru joke when he is talking to tilly at Starfleet academy. Not to say the series would not have it's dark moments because it would, but it would show how he dose not let dark times affect him negatively as well as being the spark of light in the dark for every one around. The first 3 episodes would during the Klingon war to flow along with the STO story with small changes to fit in to canon, but out of a ~20 episode season I don't think it's to bad. Not to mention filling in the story gap from the DISCO story line to the TOS story.
I hope I explained it correctly, but in short he would be the same in this UA-cam series. Or at the very list as close as possible.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Now that's over with... I wonder if they'll eventually start exploring sequels to TOS, TNG and VOY episodes that never got a sequel, but should have? I know that the books delved into the aftermath of "A Piece of the Action" and showed how those people could have become a threat more powerful than the Federation... It would be interesting to see that play out for an arc or two... Plus, it'd give them a good excuse to make outfits based on gangster attire if they haven't already.
It'd also be interesting to see something about the Swarm from the VOY episode of the same name... Sure, they may be content to stay in their own space, but I can see them leaving their space to become proactive if given the right push.
While there's not much that can be done with "The Arsenal of Freedom" from TNG, it'd be fun to have a kit module and console pair that is based on the device from that episode. Granted, it would need a serious nerf to avoid being op, but still, it'd be a fun one.
I also wonder if we'll ever get a new battle zone?.. We haven't had one since Goncra, and while you could make the argument that the Gamma Quadrant is one such battle zone, it's significantly simplified, and really was never designed to really be one. I had hoped that one based around C'Qer could have been made, given that the map IS big enough for one...
Waitaminute!! Why is the Terran version of Section 31 still called Section 31? After all, the prime universe's S31 was named after Article 14, Section 31 of the Starfleet Charter (the original, Earth-based Starfleet, the one from before the Federation). Wouldn't the Mirror version be called something else? Or is this meant to be one of those "both universes paralleled each other, even though it makes zero sense"?
Nevermind, I think I just answered my own question... 😂
What is the song called during the first battle ?
Can't wait to play it on Console. ^^
Wish we'd get cross save/ play. I'd get it for PC right away. ^^
Considering the age of the game it's not coming to modern console.

Honestly the complete removal of all the mirror universe development from DS9 and particularly there better nature of Terrans we saw demonstrated multiple times just to do Terran Empire shit again will always sting me with regards to STO’s stories, but this arc was still good and the ending was nice
Disappointed that God Emperor Wesley Crusher wasn't half Sandworm.
Unicron's theme?
An update changed that first Memory Hologram to give more visual detail on Dr. Crusher, baby Emerpor Crusher, and that third person, they have as much detail as the other Holograms now. Now the only thing is that I wish we would get a Discovery Recruitment event like the Klingon one going on right now. For STO there is no reason to make a Discovery OC at this time.
While it will never happen I would love a Terran recruit event honestly

The DISCO tutorial being a copy-paste of the standard Starfleet one is one disappointment. The entire DISCO story being duplicated as a holographic set of missions is another, since it means there is very little indeed unique to a DISCO captain's experience, apart from the lens flares. So depending on how you feel about those...
