Considering you included the shovel easter egg for Liberty Falls, i figure i should tell you that there is a shovel in the mines on Terminus (i found it leaning against a wall towards the bottom). After grabbing it, you can dig up piles of bones that have flies swarming around them. I believe one of each of these piles spawns in the sea caves and the mines each round. You can get salvage and equipment from them for sure, but I'm guessing there's more to it than that. Just found it on my second time in Terminus (directed), so i haven't been able to investigate more. Edit: you can also find a shovel outside the sea cave entrance and on temple and crab islands. Body piles also appear on the islands, and they have a chance to drop perks too.
do the they work as explosives flat out? or just for the air tank? like could you use them to get the skull at the top of the church (liberty falls) or to get the crab net on crab island?

No worries! I think Treyarch have struck the right balance between rewarding but not broken with these EEs. For example with Mega Stuffy, he can’t be used in the boss fight and he despawns after a few minutes. Cursed Talisman gives 2x Points but is unusable in the high rounds due to losing points when hit. Hopefully the new map in December launches with 20+ side Easter Eggs!
The permanent double points ee is NOT worth it. It also takes 20% of all your points every 2 or 3 times you get hit by a zombie, for the rest of the game.

Just as a little FYI for the crab one. I personally have found 4 crab spots and they always give a perk, salvage, money and a weapon

You need it for a dark ops calling card... Have to get 20k points without being hit... Oof
Theres actually a glitch with it where you can have x1million double points…idk if its still working but thats how i got to prestige master real quick
