“He's special and whoever gets him will have a franchise-altering type of talent.”
JT O’Sullivan (via Bootleg Football) On Caleb Williams going to Chicago
“Is it the ideal situation for him to go where he’s gonna go? Absolutely not. The track record is the track record. If I could pick where he could go, that’s just not what I would want for him. But is he good enough to make it work there? I think he is. Time will tell.”

Don't want Williams as QB. I'd go in a different direction. But I'm not a GM or owner. So ima trust in Poles and support him as my QB. Bear Down 🐻
Y
N he’s no leader definitely not leading men 😂😂 and the comparison to Rodman is completely irrelevant. Rodman was a party animal lady’s man not a fuckn lady man 😂😂😂
Do not take a DT at 9.
It is a fact that Caleb Williams has the potential to be great. It's also a fact that nobody knows how he will look in the NFL. Just have to wait and see.
10 years from now it will be flag football with players picking their own team.
When that happen I will not even watch that shit at point I can watch my son play flag football😂😂😂
Lol funny but true
LIke Basketball now
Thank God for the UFL
@@jamieturner1364 😭😭😭
Any first overall pick will be franchise alternating. You just better hope the alteration is a positive one. 😅
April Fool’s Day Bears Nation!
You’re a fool today, if you think Poles settles for FOUR draft picks 😅
He already got Sweat, Allen and Bates in this draft, so it’s really 7 draft picks.
And those three are pretty good draft choices. At least Sweat is a top of the first round talent. And he still has two more in the top 10. Maybe the best draft the Chicago National Football Club has ever had.
You’re forgetting the trade for Dan Feeney for our 2024 6th just last year, and the Nkeal Harry trade in 2022 for our 2024 7th
@@chrisrakow9745 ok, 9 picks!
This is the Kansas City Chiefs way that Ryan Poles is bringing and building in Chicago
Absolutely agree with you. Savvy drafting (Chris Jones and Creed Humphrey) were both 2nd rd. picks! 😂
KC style O Seattle LOB style D
It is… Only thing we’re missing is Andy Reid. But Flus will do for now🤷🏾♂️
@@charlesthomas3615lol that’s next if this season doesn’t go as planned, and planned I’m thinking 10 wins or playoffs… then bring in the offensive guru since the defense is there and learned from flus
The switching positions could end up being a good and learning thing in case needed during the season !!!
⚠️BREAKING⚠️ Chicago Bears trade no.1 overall pick to steelers for justin fields 😂
No
😂that's excellent
😂😂😂
😅😅😅
Great one
I would the nineth pick
I strongly agree with JT cuz it doesn’t matter about the history. If Caleb is confident and he wants to be a legend…then this is the perfect place for him
Caleb has the chance to become a Bears legend in his first year😅
You mean disagree 😄
@@javenterry8691 yes
Gosh darn I really can't wait to watch Bears football.
Watch Fuaga live a couple times last year and in the run game he stood out like a man amongst boys . He was constantly moving his guy 3 to 5 yards down the field and washing the linebackers out of the play. Day one, he would be one of the strongest tackles in the NFL.
Every player, team situation is different. The Bears have had bad luck, but making future plans based on the past would be idiotic. Im excited about getting Caleb.
I'm just waiting for the Bears roster to come into focus. I avoid going back and forth with negative people who I don't know.
Not since Butkus and Sayers have we been in this position.
And they have no rings, lol
@@byronmcgee4118 didn't have a QB! Jack Concannon, Virgil Carter, Larry Rakestraw, Bobby Douglass...
@@richardpeters2193 Who was there QB Bobby Douglas? AKA Lefty Justin Fields of the 60’s who we kept for way to long. Poles is not going to make the famous Bobby Douglas as QB with Sayers and Butkus primes preventing them from ever making the playoffs in there career. That is exactly why those players never got a shot at the playoffs.
@@richardpeters2193
Bobby Douglas rocket arm had one speed on his throws 90+
"I choose to be optimistic until proven otherwise"...well said Harrison.
I've seen Caleb Williams have some comeback victories in his short career. I've never seen any from fields. I think celeb is a future star.
I’ve heard it all before. Let’s just wait and see what he does on game day. Hopefully optimistic.
I'm excited for the future, I didn't fear change, I feared continuity, thankfully Poles made the right choice. We'll have a real quarterback now, we have a better roster, we have a competent GM, exciting time to be a Bears fan.
Hell yes
Franchise altering? You mean they’ll actually get worse???
Alterations, much like change, can be for the better or worse, after all…
With Fields it was worse, Caleb can't be worse than Fields, especially with the current roster
I think we have changed to be in the playoffs this year
Caleb is all that in body not brains. BEAR DOWN 🐻
"Bears trade pick #1 to the Buffalo Bills for Mitch Trubisky. Leadership was quoted saying "Second time's a charm"".
As a Bears fan living in Wisconsin in the heart of Packer land I'm already preparing for all kinds of stupid hateful comments about Caleb based on the nails, crying and anything else idiots try to insult him about. First off the nails is a tribute to his mother and I would never knock anyone for honoring their mother. Idc about any of that stuff and only care about his abiltiy, work ethic and attitude. Which everyone who knows him says are all there with him just being a good guy all around. Go Caleb go Bears.
If they do it will be because he beat them, even beat them over and over. We did it to their QB greats. I shudder to think the things I said about Rodgers 😊
After your post, I would expect more comments aimed at you, Poopy-D.
I’ve been on record from the beginning, saying I don’t care what he does or how he paints his nails he can do whatever the hell he wants if he is good😂 I promise you all the Bears fans who do not like him will change their tune very quickly if he’s able to pass for 4000 yards
Dudes will call caleb gay, and then yell go pack go. 🤷🏻♂️
You guys are coping so hard. 😂😂😂 Your guy has pink nails! Pink Fn nails! 😂😂😂
I think he’s gonna be incredible as long as he gets a superior O Line to protect him, an elite receiving core, and a good to excellent OC. That’s why with this draft Ryan Poles needs to garner at least one good OL and one good receiver. And with the run on QBs and depth of OL and receiver talent he hopefully can get it done.
BREAKING: BEARS TRADE FOR AARON RODGERS
Bears receive Rodgers and a 5th Rounder from the Jets for their 4th rounder this year. Per Ryan Poles, the 40 year old is being brought in to mentor Caleb Williams and start the first four snaps of Week 1. As part of this deal, the McCaskeys are open to giving Rodgers a small stake in ownership, and may be willing to give a small stake to Williams after he is drafted. This would mean the former Packers superstar and likely #1 pick would partially co-own the Bears
😂😂😂😂 this guy
Rodgers already owns the Bears, remember?
I will say it's too early to say if Caleb Williams to be a Franchise altering yet, give him a year or two
I see Caleb just like ace Ventura wearing the pink tutu while playing football. 😂😂😂
As long as he wins so what, did you complain about Rodman when he was helping to win championships?
So many haters in the comments! Let the man play
He just better be worth the hype.
Could care less about outside noise.
Either he can play at this level or he can't.
I’m excited, but I’m also skeptical. I’ve been a Bears fan long enough to know better than to have expectations.
Got news for you ----
Upgrading our WR's, D-line, and O-line means the Bears' franchise
has already been greatly altered.
Improved that is.
Even we stayed with Fields, the Bears would make the playoffs next year, IMHO.
IF Caleb is close to being as good as touted,
then the Bears will win 12.
Forget drafting a tackle early this year, it must be an Edge or WR with the Bears 2nd 1st round pick.
I don’t want to take any offensive lineman at 9 when we need skills position like DE and WR and currently only 3 picks after drafting a QB number 1 to get it done
Only Pittsburgh and Packer fans disagree
Drop your best Bears-themed April Fools jokes in the comments!
The #Bears have officially clinched the #1 overall pick for 2025 and 2026
Big no on Fuaga for me. Miller at LT is average. Yes, he’s not great, but he will do just fine. Compare that to DE and a long-term need at WR, and I think drafting those positions is just more important for the team than finding a LT. I understand it if we have a chance at a star player like Joe Alt at 9 since he is that much better than Miller, but Fuaga is not a sure fire pick to be a top LT in the NFL
The Bears Traded the best QB they will ever have for a 6th round pick.Keeping the tradition alive.
Fields was the best qb they'll ever have? No, not even close.
25.7 career winning percentage
Worst starting quarterback in the 4th quarter
Failed 6 times in his career to score a touchdown against divisional rivals
Failed to hit 3,000 passing yards once
Failed to throw 20 passing touchdowns once
Hasn't led the Bears to the playoffs
Hasn't led the Bears to a winning season
Won 5 games with the 6th easiest schedule
Qbr dropped from 56.3 in 2022 to 46.1 in 2023
Passed for only 320 more passing yards than 2022
1 300 passing yard game in his career
Bears can do better
@@Joseph-gm3qm Montana couldn't have won on those teams.
What's the schedule
We'll see after he plays a couple of games in the league
Thanks captain obvious
I don’t really want the right tackle even if you think he can play left tackle I’d rather draft Joe alt or fashanu because I think Joe is better and fashanu is close, if not better than Fuaga and we know both of those players can play left tackle there is no projection you know they’re going to be good at it
I do not want anyone at 9 if it’s not a top 3 receiver. Get out of the pick. But DT would piss me off the most after the ridiculous Day 2 last year
I wanted to keep J.F because he is talented and good but because I truly believe when it’s all said and done I think this will be one of the greatest draft class every and the players the bears could’ve had if they would’ve traded for the haul I hope we don’t look like what could’ve been
They hype we had for justin fields vs the hype we have for caleb williams is drastically different
Yes, it better.

2024 NFL Draft: Name a player you don’t want at #9!
Bowers only because there are so many other impact players at positions of need
If Nabers or Odunze are not there, trade back for edge rusher
ODUNZE. Dallas Turner would be ideal. Or Nabers if he somehow fell. But ODUNZE isn't worth 9, you mine as well trade down
All - trade back for haul. We need more picks. There are too many needs still
Verse or tuner
At number 9… best receiver on the board.. best DE on the board.. or Brock Bowers.. nothing else
So because we had a bad history with qbs, we should never have a good qb? People need to get over the "history " and embrace the future

They said the same thing about Trevor Lawrence and Zack Wilson. He’s going to be a bust.
Don’t forget Bryce Young!
@chrisrakow9745 they said Peyton manning was going to be good and he was. Williams is going to be a HOF player.
Past doesn't have to be prologue in this case.
What does history have to do with Caleb succeeding. Nothing is the same.
Alt will be gone. Maybe Odunze will be around. Is Verse or Latu worth the 9 th pick? Trade down to 13 or 14 and get a 3rd or 4th.
To me, the statement that Caleb Williams is a "generational" QB is an April Fools Joke. His numbers from 2023 don't back that statement up. He was "generational" when he played against the teams that were rated 61st in the nation or worse. He was 6-0 there, but then there is his record against teams rated higher than 61st. He played 6 teams there and he was 1-5.
PUT ON HIS TAPE FROM FRESHMAN YEAR AT OKLAHOMA WHEN HE CAME IN THE GAME AND BROUGHT THEM BACK FROM 28 TO 7 TO VICTORY IVER THEIR ARCH RIVAL TEXAS LONGHORNS..IN THE PROCESS, HE TOOK THE JOB IF HEISMAN TROPHY FROM RUNNER SPENCER RATLER AS A TRUE FRESHMAN..PUT ON HIS HIGH SCHOOL TAPE...WHO WAS DAN MARINO PLAYING AGAINST IN COLLEGE. WHAT ABOUT AARON RODGERS??
You are correct. His numbers are overinflated as is the hype bc of the lousy teams he played. Nobody considers that.
JT O’Sullivan’s take is so lazy and completely disregards the actual situation Caleb would be walking into
Meh, if it’s Caleb the hype better show through in wins! I prefer trade down and get Daniel’s but if 87% seems to think he is generational I’m not seeing it but I value my eyes and stats, win ratio and past history etc.. it boils down to do organization, special talent, coaching, blue chips, and health. So you can’t really predict nothing. What we do know is we have a top defense, easy schedule, the best offense weapons any rookie is coming into. We also know we have four picks and arguably 6 starters positions of need. And a really solid north. And an arguably a lame duck coach. Considering all that if we can some how win at least nine games with Caleb you have to say that is a success. I do not like the band aid of the center so my biggest concern is o line.
No, we should trade down with Washington and select Jayden Daniels
I think most of the comments against Caleb are not even from Bears fans. If you were, you would be excited as hell because objectively the Bears are on an incredibly positive trend and in a great position to be a perennial playoff team. Justin was never going to take us anywhere - great guy but he does not have the ‘it’ factor of a top 5 QB. Now we have a once in a franchise opportunity to bring in a player that will make everyone forget about our struggles at QB at a time when the Bears have a great foundation to make him successful. These Justin fans who prefer him over the success of the Bears need get on board with the positive trajectory of the Bears or go cheer on the Packers. They also need to ask the question, if they are right about Justin, why is it that every team GM who does this for a living thinks he is a back up or if he is a starter, a lower tier starter?
I don't want any of the edges at 9

I think every time Caleb Williams beat Green Bay, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions. We all should paint our fingernails with a bear down logo.
JT is just still upset the Bears sent him to play in Germany.
The bears have been a defensive team for ever they don't focus on the offense that's why they have never developed a QB but this staff is obviously ramping up the offense now let's see if they give him protection that the key to his success
Bears are going to the Super Bowl this year
People making this argument that the ‘Bears can’t develop a quarterback’ basing it off of years past is just strange to me. Are they suggesting that the Bears organization is cursed? Over the years the regime has changed. It hasn’t been a single regime making these decisions at QB. To compare it to past regimes is a false equivalency. There’s so many different dynamics and instances at play. Additionally, the Bears have never had the opportunity to get a ‘generational talent.’ Mitch, nor Justin were as rated as high as Caleb so it’s just a strange comparison to make. If you don’t like the situation, that’s fine, but the argument that the bears ‘can’t develop’ a quarterback isn’t logical it’s just superstition or cynicism at best.
As long as everyone understands this will be because we actually added offensive weapons, line, and great coaching staff im all for it 😂 tired of arguing this point. Geno, Goff, Baker all revitalized their careers BECAUSE they got on good offenses. Please understand how the sport of football works folks lol its not rocket science
The best thing Poles did was get rid of all the veterans who had big contracts or who wanted a big contract getting out of cap flexibility he’ll Ryan Pace put him in and keeping his word tearing it down and build it back up J.F just got caught in the middle of it the worst deal he did was Claypool that’s it that trade with the Panthers change everything and we have they early second round pick next year that Poles could use this year if he choose to he has done a tremendous job changing this franchise we heading in the right direction with a clear vision new stadium with people in the front office who finally know what they doing
I think it’s more than okay to disagree with the takes of qb school considering he had 9 career touchdowns. Based on that history he might not be the most qualified former qb to talk about what’s best for a new QB

I don't want Fuaga. He's a RT, no matter what "Coach T" thinks. Look at the grades you posted. His biggest weakness is PASS BLOCKING, which is what is most important out of a LT. There's no reason to mess around with another run-blocking tackle when a real LT like Fashanu is likely to be on the board.
