those anime figurines are actually really cheap at that store compared to buying from reputable sites like goodsmile where some figurines go well into the the thousands of dollars(US)
@Vandole Goodsmile is a site where youre buying straight from the manufacturer, youre not buying through a third party trader for the increase in price, its just naturally that expensive. They had a devilman crybaby figure a while back that was limited edition and costed like 8 grand straight from goodsmile(the manufacturer). Cant imagine how much third parties would sell it for on ebay. The stores that they were shopping at were all third parties reselling figures, thats why i was surprised they were fairly cheap. Usually they would overprice when reselling to make a profit.
Something that chris failed to mention (most likely didn't know, as it's not really his area of expertise) is that Kotobukiya is actually a well known reputable figure producer as well. Their figures generally range a bit cheaper than goodsmile's at relatively similar quality (not always though...they are sometimes a bit more hit or miss there. One of my figures from them had a special add-on that I had a difficult time applying due to the mold being slightly off) One big difference is that goodsmile generally makes to order. So after the pre-order point there are generally no more produced (unless they do a second run). So they're marked at a more limited edition price. Where as Kotobukiya generally mass produces their lines (they do still do pre-orders to get a general idea on first run production). A lot of their western lines or really popular figures can be purchased well after the pre-order time.
@@TheMaster5059 There's also places like Hobby Link Japan and Tokyo Otaku Mode among other reputable sites. I have to say, I'm a pretty big weeaboo, so akiba was one of my fave spots and I did the basic stuff like Sega arcades, Animate, Maid Dreamin', Yodobashi Camera. I would've liked to do more, but hopefully there's a next time!
Ah yes, "Sitting Man", my favorite Star Wars character.
The nostalgia is strong seeing all that 70s/80s retro equipment. Electronics and gaming history should always be preserved for future generations to experience.
Chris, can you make a video on Natsuki's beauty spa?
STNLY CAVE that would be pretty cool to see natsuki work!
STNLY CAVE Chris said in a live stream that he wouldn't film there, because he didn't want fans disturbing Natsuki whilst he's working.
THIS
There is an older video where they visit a restaurant with monkeys, it has some footage of Natsukis beauty salon.
yeah there's some footage of it in one of his videos but if he devoted a whole video to it it would probably mean revealing its location.
Main reason why I pressed this video...I saw summer dress Nero
I thought it was Mordred from Fate Apocrypha.
@@thomasl1061 Damn, that's a big fat L you've taken..you're a fate fan but can't distinguish Nero from Mordred.
Fuck off weebs
@@queb3021 I agree, but, you're in their territory mate. Lol
@@AWACS_Snowblind it's like you chase the person that have home from his home😅
The quality and detail of the figures are amazing!
Chris I tried your "sou desu ne" trick to talk to Japanese people but I found a flaw... The Japanese person asked me questions!! What kind of advice does your wisdom have to say on the matter? (love your videos man)
Just say "Mmmm, muzukashi ne..." about 4 times, until they take over the conversation again.

OK i know this comment may be real random, but i just wanted to let you know that i found out about your channel yesterday and i really liked your videos, i am in quite some therapy for mental health (random, i know) and i needed things in life to like, hobbies. Now i am quite easily bored and don't enjoy things in life really, but your videos really make me happy and laugh and so i added your videos to my what-to-do-when-i-feel-super-down-list, so just wanted to say that, okay, bye :D
Remember, "idle hands are the devil's work-bench". Keep yourself active with something productive or otherwise healthy.
Best of luck on your mental health recovery,

Samw me too!!
Damian Bailey if you don't already watch it, make sure to watch Terrace House on Netflix. It will be therapeutic:)
4:28 Japan truly has it all. They even have a maid reaming service. Now that’s true service;)
@Vandole it's funny joke
LMAO I-
@Vandole chill the fuck out
@Vandole Yeah, I feel bad for maid service ladies. They're constantly getting their bodies examined by lonely otakus and weeaboos.
@@professionalfangster1510 if they're getting paid well and they have other career options then it's their choice. they might even like their job. i asked this girl who used to work as an escort what her customers were like and she said most of them weren't lonely or inexperienced
Dude, I seriously near spat out my lunch at that intro! Freakin hilarious!
Same here, I was eating too and almost lost it!
Akibahara is my number 1 place I've been wanting to go!!!
When I went there I spent a combined 36 hours (over 3 days time) just walking around.
same here
007MrYang I can see myself doing that
Natsuki is being so nice and shy unlike his later videos with you. So funny.
I thoroughly enjoyed the random tangent about Mario/Apple at the end of the video.
This is everything I had hoped for, and so much more! 😂 Thank you, Mr. Broad
10:45 - 11:05 That transition with the music worked really well actually.
Nice editing on that part for sure.
Natsuki should draw his life
This was one of the best episodes yet! Loved the VHS filter.
As a student on electronics and robotics, 4:45 - 5:28 looks like heaven. Look at all them jocks and clips and all them electronics at the background. O my word those stuff... they look beautiful.
OF COURSE Natsuki owns a beauty salon.
hahahahahahaha
Deluxe Woman by Duran Duran just so happens to be my favorite song.
"Over a kilogram of food"
Me, an American: Those are rookie numbers
Edit: lol i started an argument on the internet
I mean yeah
You gotta bring those numbers way up.
Me, a TRUE American: "What the hell's a kilogram?"
Peso Pistolero haha, me, as an American, laughs at your silly statement.
@Peso Pistolero well are we saying a buffet or are we saying single serving? Because if we are talking buffets (like you mentioned), literally any buffet will suffice. But as a single serving? Does an extra large pizza count? Do the ridiculous burger challenges where you get your picture on the wall count? Does a family size portion at an Italian restaurant count if I eat there by myself :D? What are the rules here haha...
Are we going to be getting a release of Natsuki's performance of Relax Woman?
Your first console was N64? I knew I liked you fella 😍
Sorry but as wonderful as the N64 was, anyone that missed out on the 16-bit era was deprived imo.
I didn't have a console up until around.. 2000ish. Before then since the 80s i had home computers like the spectrum and commodore 64.
Nowadays i still don't have a console and PC game.
N64 Glenn Plant username checks out lol. Good console.
Mine was the PlayStation and my first handheld was the game boy advance.
maybe I have to duck and run, but my first console was a Philips G7000 in silver, unluckily my father threw it away so 10-15 years ago (it had a short-circuit). Wiki say that it was sold as "Philips Odyssey" in the US.
Edit: correcting words
NGL, I literally had a fangirl moment when I saw that Yakuza 0 billboard on the SEGA Club building. 😍😍
Same
It has come to my attention that without a proper comment, the possibility of a video on the subject matter of pens will never be made. As such, I beseech you to off handedly mention stores that sell pens and pen accessories, as Japan is one of the countries where I have seen quality pens at reasonable or lower prices. It doesn't have to be a full video, but rather a small segment so as to appease my curiosity and that of the niche audience that might appreciate it as well.
Those r the old console I even I was little. Good memories.
Missed the opportunity to make it a 4:3 screen size lol
That dark elf statue was insane quality though. They even did the plump thigh thing at the spot where the stocking presses on it. :D

Ahhh. Can't wait to save up and go to Akihibara and buy me some good Dragon Ball stuff
Love videos like this - would be neat to see Akihabara in pictures and video over time from the 40s to now - looks like a cool place to visit!
"chris: What year that was?
Natsuki: Junior high school
Chris: 1950s?" Underappreciated
2:37 completely forgot about that Pokémon commercial until I heard that classic noise
I 100% agree that buying games in person and getting to keep the box art and look around the store is WAY better than digital marketplaces.
This level of trollism is too much for my soul. Do it again
damn it!
Nice profile pic you have there!!
hehe thanks
I can't wait to go Tokyo, it's my dream! May The Peace Be With U.
Tokyo is pretty shit :D
@@zzBaBzz yeah, it's the shit
Also for the weebs, go to mandarake, this is like a 5-6 Storie building with manga/doujinschi stuff. really good though and price wise also good.
I feel like this is a dumb question but is there anything translated into English
@@yyello6072 I don't remember seeing anything in English. You are getting raws over there... Not a problem for figurines. I still remember casually strolling in the yaoi section of one of the shops, too bad he wasn't taken there :)
Animate Akihabara is also a good option.
Mate, that intro and outro, you've really outdone yourself. A+
I don't know what you do for full time work but you could definitely be in video production.
P.S. It seems your videos are there to satisfy the curiosity of others outside of Japan. Perhaps it's worth being a bit introspective and making videos on your own curiosities. If only for the benefit of yourself, but I do not doubt it would make for quite engaging viewing.

my eyes went unbelievably wide as i found this video because i absolutely loved akihabara after playing and watching steins;gate, it really did sound like heaven
All the consoles and games are a little before my time, but it's still cool to see this.
When you search through the billboards top 100 for "relax a woman" but come to the cruel realisation that it isn't there...
Just coming back to rewatch some of the older videos and damn, your skills got much better Chris.
This is still good though in my not so humble opinion
This video truly exceeds the sky of time!
Joe Moore feels so good to get all the references, such a classic xD
if there was a town that benefits from an 80's vibe... it's Akihabara
Lots of unique collectibles, love the little charmander. Seems to be in Japan many people love collecting items and have high appreciation for their things.
Remember the simpler times when you're playing game boy in your car and street lights are the only thing illuminating your game
The intro was nostalgic I loved IT
love the aesthetic in the first few minutes
