I think one reason why the speaker blows out is when the batteries are low, the more distorted the sound gets, the more it ruins the speaker, thus shortening its lifespan and causing it to screech and blow out soon afterward. By the way, really love this item! I wish I had it!
I think maybe it's just originally so loud that it doesnt last long. At the end of my Christmas stuff at kmart and cracker barrel 2007 video I show all of my stuff at the end and you can clearly hear it over everything
Do you have any idea where i can get this? My grandmother had a collection of animatronic Christmas decorations and after she passed her daughter took everything she had and kept it from the family. Im currently trying to rebuild her collection!

Because I never used this much with low batteries, so that's how I know that's not what it was caused by.
