- This was definitely a spur-of-the-moment decision type of project!! I came across a closing sale at my local K-Mart, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to grab myself this scooter and see what I could do with it! So, I decided to build this homemade off-road scooter thanks to your votes on my UA-cam poll!
I really hope that you enjoy this video! (especially now that I figured out the audio...) I very much appreciate all of the support on my videos lately and I have all of you wonderful viewers to thank for that.

What a great build my man ! And your editing skills are definitely improving :P Loved that build, great idea using your angle grinder to make those keyways (even if not very safe... Improvise, adapt, overcome !)
One thing i would definitely suggest is reinforcing the joints on your tie bars. I don't know if i saw very well, but they seem like they could easily crack from stress, if not from hitting a big rock. Could really be a day ruiner.

This is my favorite channel right now. There arent many videos but, shit, does it hit that fuckin sweet spot. Making badass rigs and toys out of scrap. I happen to live on a property with a load of junked cars and parts, so I guess this is just inspiration lol. Keep up the good work man.

OK, being a Retired Lawn tractor technician - and having made a few Gokarts and yard buggies from old MTD tractor parts just like you have there, the first thing you'll notice is where that Swing-bar front end used to mount to the tractor it was NOT 90* to the frame, it had like 7* of castor angle to it, so this will effect your steering a bit, you may want to tilt your axle a bit - go back and look at the old tractor frame to front bar pivots to copy this angle

How I wish you were my neighbor growing up. I constantly wanted to motorize everything but only had an arc welder, vise, and grinder. I had to siphon gasoline for my bikes from any vehicles I could get to.

I began watching the video thinking how much I need a new workshop. By the end I realised I also need a workshop cat!!
cool videos so far, I like creative ideas. How about a automated vegetable or inside a cheap plastic treehouse mushroom farm? Automatic like that (sawdust-> put mushromsubstrate mixes and puts somewhere-> after mushrooms are big enoth an automated trasportation belt or machine rolling in metal tracks (or something) will cut them they fall down and go to the output. (best would be near ur kitchen. U could maybe use old gameconsoles or computers and some image recognition or find blueprints out there. Copy and paste as much single elements as possible or maybe just prototype on an automated pumpkin farm. (If the hurtles are to big start small and automate ur way up.) It could me a multy step video-projekt making for great videos on the youtube channel. Titles like: "How i improved my automated farm" "The trasportationbelts reconsidered / overhaled" will shurely get many many views i saw people doing stuff before like growing allthere stuff or building something from scratch of making a mass produce little bussness from scratch. Those videos do well. Ur cool guy hope u do some cool projekts like this. =))))) Very cool the motivation/fun/energy u can generate doing all those things so far. Im some guy sitting at home. I might do stuff myself some day. Maybe not. Jeers

I've gotten two wheelhorse lawn tractors for free so far because their mower decks were rotten. a 1976 B-80 and a 1993 246-6. the B-80 will literally pull a 3,500lb car up a 15 degree incline without issue.

This is when you would put large lego wheels on a small body times ten.
i picked up one of these at an estate auction in like new condition for 5 bucks, that just needed new batteries. i was bidding on the aluminum ramp for it to use on a small trailer that went for $150. they couldn't get a bid on the scooter, so i bid 5 to get it started. i didn't win the ramp, but i was the only bidder on the sonic scooter. new scooter- $1800, new ramp-$250. go figure.
