Is there a software program fir at home so an adult can learn these techniques at home?

Because of the intense nature of teaching students with reading differences, the Orton-Gillingham methodology is taught directly to participants rather than via an unmonitored software program. We do, however, offer Self-Paced courses that are monitored by Instructors and provide individualize feedback. We also hold courses via Livestream format in real time. You can review all our offerings on our website: brainspring.com/course-description/

Would you suggest these activities for an 8th grader reading 2 or 3 grades below grade level??

If you were doing a typical lesson (Layer 2), it would take approximately 50 minutes to complete all the components? So, two lessons in an hour is not appropriate right?

I've taught OG K to gr.5. What she says is accurate. Max lesson time I give is 10 min. The other areas are 4-6 minutes each. Total time is 50 minutes. I like to play a color /sound game to begin with and then do the OG lesson. Next I have 2-3 games that students will choose 1 game. Then my choice of activity. The timer rings each time. Then the students choice and so on. Total time 50 min.
