Dean's emotional why human suffering talk with Chuck was interesting.
Jensen comes from a strong christian background and I think a lot of what he was saying was quite personally heart felt than just mere acting.
Even though I absolutely hate metatron I did like him redeeming himself in this episode
I don't get the Hate, he actually tried making things better
Dean is many of us voice,when he speaks to Chuck.
I figured Chuck was planning on sacrificing himself when he was singing "Fare thee well" and Metatron was reading the autobiography and then looked at Chuck with a face of disbelief
Donatello is basically anyone who walks in on the show in a later episode

Sam's acting like a fan! Dean's asking the questions that we all ask. I'm sorry to see Metatron go. I think Curtis Armstrong was awesome as Metatron. Almost the season finale!!!!!!!! OH MY CHUCK!!!
The finale for this season is one of the best 😉
Killing Metatron off makes sense for a lot of reasons.
He'd run out of story reasons to be kept around, and he-theoretically-contained ALL of the lore.
Metatron wrote every single Word of God and spent millennia on Earth just reading books and listening to stories. A Metatron that was totally aligned with humanity/The Winchesters would swiftly make them far more knowledgeable than the Men of Letters, or any other such organization.
He has limitless knowledge of spellcraft, has likely memorized all the Tablets, and he'd have rendered many future threats non-factors.

The only season in my opinion, when the Buckleming duo culminated. Each episode they wrote this season is strong and this episode they wrote is no expectation.

who overstayed the welcome in TVD?
Love when they all snapping their fingers to make things happen lol. Very interesting portrayal by rob to be Chuck but yet god lol. Obviously this god has limitations but does he or is he just acting again lol. Is this part of his story. There's one thing to write yourself into the story and another thing to take over the story lol. Its still going to be about Sam and dean lol. They still going to be the heroes. That's why they always have to be the ones saving the day lol. I can see why Chuck would want that more of a interesting story lol just like the writers of supernatural lol. Eric kripke never wanted god to actually be in the story because then he'll always be saving the day there's no threats to god he knows everything can do anything but if he writes himself into it and acts like I can't do nothing I can't beat my sister you guys gotta do it lol. Like dean said if god can't do it how they lol. They'll find a way that's why god loves them plus he knows they will yes written it all or seen it all and just has to write it lol. Instead of hearing about gods past I wanna see it lol. Show don't tell please lol. But I love how this show does god and how I can connect it to other shows. Maybe Chuck has written all these shows we watch lol. Maybe he's just the writer maybe he's one of the characters acting lol helping out but mostly watching everything happens lol. I'm watching Lucifer now and I know I seen rob on behind the scenes picture and I'm like Chuck is on Lucifer lol. Maybe he'd God there lol. Though the one picture doesn't seem like but god can make you see whatever so just cause it looks like he got hurt or dying or died he's just making you see that and acting lol. Same with this lol. After seeing the whole story I'm convinced he's acting during all this lol. Amara isn't really killing him he isn't really dying he's just acting. Funny you mentioning a new god but how do we know that's not part of his story maybe that's his true ending lol. He'll "sacrifice himself " and they'll be A new god but on the low low chuck is still god and he's moving on to a new earth lol. That earth is in good hands with new god Sam and dean lol. He's on to writing other shows lol. I love how its like we listening and believing everything he's saying but at same time kind of like how much is he not telling us how much is he lying about lol. He's known this whole time he's god in first episode knew he was prophet but lied but turns out yep knew that lol now he's Bern god this whole time lol god in this is a liar lol. Very interesting take on god. I can see some things you can apply to the real god or even same questions that dean and metatron ask this god people have asked about real god lol. They did really good representing all parts of god too lol. You got the wrathful god like in old testament and the loving god that's in the new testament and bits of the old like in exodus. God was very generous to them people in exodus and they were stupid they kept stop believing kept going back to their old wayd but god was right there to keep giving them things helping them lol. You think Chuck was one of those people doing little tricks snapping his fingers here and there kept giving them stuff and acting surprised like everyone else lol. You'd think he'd been ticked when after all that they still made the calf statue and worshipped that instead of god lol. Its like sang how much does he have to do for you people for you to believe keep believing lol. Crazy lol. I love how rob acted this part he's said he's acting it like he's a father which god is our father. He can be loving but when he wants you to do something or you doing something wrong then he gets more serious more serious tone like ok c'mon guys I'm not Kidding around. This is what's going to happen no objections just like any other father lol. THey gotta be the boss and not let the kids run over him lol.

oh.. I have to disagree about Metatron. We met him in season 8, for the trials. One episode, for me, would have been plenty. It was 3 seasons of overstaying his welcome.
I just never bought that God needed a scribe.. he can whip up worlds - he could certainly whip up a few tablets and bury them.
That up close and personal, push a blade into Dean's chest moment- wrote him off for ever being redeemed for me.
I call him Metadouchatron.
I think what he means by "overstaying his welcome" is more about how Metatron was well written in all his episodes. There was never a point where he was pointless, he always had a good reason to be a part of the plot, and his actor is really good, made me hate the character so much.
He was always a douch, but a well written douch.
God didn't NEED a scribe... but what is the point of doing it yourself when you can have someone else transcribe your word
Crowley litterly murderd like all the people Dean and Sam saved and he still got stayed and got redeemed even.
Hoenstly this show has a problen with characters overstaying their welcome.
He literally sacrifices himself to help save the world and that's not redeemable for you? There's nothing bigger than that, so I don't know what else he could've done.
i think the scene in the bar explain very well why god needed a scribe
