Meanwhile, Subaru is a Shounen protag that's been dropped into a harem plot; it's no wonder she's happy that someone as sweet, charming, kind, and down to earth as Iroha is spending time with her. Compared to the usual line-up of harem members and rivals she has, someone like that has to be a breath of fresh air.

I mean, I think it is possible to notice that someone would make a good wife/husband without being in love with them.
Much like how one can recognize that someone is attractive without being attracted to them personally (straight people being able to recognize that people of same gender are attractive and homosexual people being able to recognize that people of the opposite gender are attractive).
