    Great review, it's a breath of fresh air seeing a good honest opinion.

    Thanks for the honest review. Really tempted by these!

      It's been a lot of fun. Even in the cold I much prefer it to commuting in my car. 😅

    At last - a decent review - it tempts me to do a review of my EP2 pro - 3200 miles in a year - and I'm thinking of getting an Engine Pro as they are on offer (despite Engwes terrible after sales support). Would love a bike with better components - but here in the UK we have very little choice if you want a fat bike. Hey ho. All the best.

      I'd be interested in hearing your experience with EP2 pro.
      The sales support is really interesting because some people-- including a friend of mine-- have gotten great support from them and others just seem to fall through the cracks and not be able to get ahold of anyone. Maybe it depends on the time of year and their order volume they're dealing with.

    Have you seen the official 13ah rear rack battery upgrade?

      Yeah! Totally unnecessary for my needs but pretty cool option if you need that addition.

    Hello :) There is a saying that the battery on the display is like actually at 140% when its full. So the first 40% will not remove anything from the battery and the first percents after full charge will take a long time to get substracted. Can you confirm this or is it accurate for you?

    • @craiginzana
      @craiginzana  Рік тому

      I do not believe that to be accurate. Immediately when turning it on it starts to drop below 100%. Like most batteries though it isn't a linear drop.
      100%-80% feels like it takes way longer than 80%-60% and 60%-40% is even faster to go down. The last 40% feels like it runs out very fast.
      Again, I've only hit 0 one time and now I'm over 1,000 miles on it in a pretty spread out city.

      @@craiginzana my battery say 100 % and it does not drop before at least 10 miles that's peddling on peddle assist 2 on a engine pro

    Could you (or someone else) please eleborate how the regen works? Does it only work in 0?
    Or does it work in all modes? And only with paddeling or also with throttle? Thank you!

      According to the manual which came with the bike
      It says you have to be in eco mode 1 or 0 and freewheeling faster than 12 mph so downhill.
      it definitely puts some juice back in and it saves your brake pads.

    the review is ok, but I just have to mention that your handelbar is mounted incorrectly. it should be forward and not backward.

    • @craiginzana
      @craiginzana  Рік тому

      I thought so too, but this is the only way it fits on this bike. It is also the way the manual says to install it. It's a common question about the bike that I didn't think to mention.

      @@craiginzana The stem of the handlebar is definitely mounted the wrong way (apparently a lot of people make the mistake), just check the photos on their website and you'll see ;)
      Anyway, thanks for the feedback, it was really interesting.
      Have you had the chance to test the regenerative charging capabilities of the bike (going downhill over 15 mph at PAS 0/1) ?
      And congrats on the baby.
