Some tidbits on using and countering Liu Bang :
1. Don't get distracted on "refilling" his passive stacks in a fight, just hit the enemies with your basic atk as usual.
2. ALWAYS PING YOUR ULT'S CD. Even in soloq, doing so could prevent your team from playing too reckless. If you're lucky, you might get 1-2 good teammates that could play around your ult and grab an easy win. Worst case scenario, if your team are all clueless, at least they couldn't blame you for that and hopefully you could keep your cool.
3. Always use Skill 1 before charging with Skill 2 or ult so you don't waste time waiting for the shield's blast to charge and risks yourself getting stunned or enemies dashing away.
4. "Abuse" his global presence by playing far from your team when your ult is available in-between fights. Similar to having an allied Da Qiao, you don't have to worry about being late coming to a teamfight with Liu Bang. Doing this will also give you more surprise factor compared to just running around your team.
5. Specific for using CL Liu Bang, ALWAYS CLEAR THE WAVES before rotating with ult in the early game. Don't give your turret for free and letting opposing CL to free farm. Same goes the other way around, if you're the CL and watch that the opponent's Liu Bang just ult randomly, that's your cue to either hit the turret or risks stealing his jungle monster to ramp up your networth, especially as scaling CL like Li Xin or Fuzi. In this game, there are good examples in 5:07 and 7:20, pay close attention to Lian Po's movement.
6. For his counters, aside from the obvious Suppress CC (Liang and Donghuang), Knockback CC is a good way to disrupt his ganks (since he only has Skill 2 for mobility), so prioritize picks like Zhou Yu, Luban No7, Arli, Nuwa, Yaria, etc
7. In a pinch, you can use ult to teleport and escape quickly when being ganked. 9:41 and 11:30 are great examples on how to do that. On the flip side, when ganking opposing Liu Bang, try to hold at least 1 CC skill to prevent him from doing that.
8. Specific for CL Liu Bang, DO NOT expect to dominate your lane. If anything, he's pretty mediocre for a CL (as you've seen in this vid, where Kyoui kinda just ignored Lian Po during the laning phase). After all, the whole point of Liu Bang is to have that ult's global presence for your team.
9. About ult's target priority, do the same with Yaria and use it on your most competent teammate. I repeat, MOST COMPETENT TEAMMATE. If you ult into your ADC every single time even though they have trash positioning, you'll just waste it and might even throw the game. Even if this "good player" is a 2/3/5 Kongming, it's infinitely better than ulting into a 0/8/2 Garo that died first in every single fights
how about jungle liu bang, in my experience in moba, hero can global ganking backup its fit better on jungle,,?
@@pilmdonlonter Personally, i think jungler is his best role. CL Liu Bang is way too mediocre since he doesn't pressure his lane opponent enough as you see in the video. CL Liu Bang is more like a flex pick where you put him there for the sake of having Liu Bang in your team, similar to flexing Da Qiao in mid or Aigran in CL.
As roamer, Liu Bang just doesn't have enough CC on his kit while he also struggles at tanking dmg in the long run against more than 1 enemy. You better off with actual frontline roamer like Zhang Fei or Liu Shan

For those who think jungle Liu Bang is good. Try clearing the crocodile next to you in mid game. It will take much longer than some of the worst junglers. You need your jungler to quickly go finish the jungle and always be present in teamfights sustaining and dealing massive damage. Liu bang doesn't deal massive damage nor he can sustain well. He puts pressure onto enemies by clearing wave and surprise ulting and provide the stun for your team to take out. He should never be the first pick as you need a good comp for him to work, aka. Need a comp which can sustain for few seconds in 4v5, after all they will always blame you and report for not doing anything. Watch code keng's new video which has KPL.Fly's POV of Liu bang, never join teamfights until the right time and you will never be the MVP, dmg dealer nor the tank of the team. Just threaten with your split push and surprise ults. He is better clash laner tbh but as a roam player I like to play him roam, help clash lane-> farm lane -> mid lane -> farm lane and then split push then join team fights, nothing wrong with split push as a roam when there is no fight going on just join before or right when fight happens. As you are the roam, not the CL. For CL, just like kyoui did better to wait but roam should be present there. That is my opinion tbh. Never first pick him and think about the enemy CC before picking him, slight knock back will cancel your dash, very annoying.
His a Medium Hero to play his my first time playing in the frontlines than in back or middle part of majority of the fight
Only difficult is pick your fights wisely, teleport when needed and just keep in eye on your teammates. Your basically like Lion in R6 Siege to get to know enemy positions or information but imagine he can teleport to assist very quickly.

Guys please for solo rank player out there, if your team is in snowball just push or help team fight. Especially Farm Lane/Clash Lane, so many players too busy farm jungle like wtf?? Then enemy comeback because of it. Man im on lose streak from GM back to Master because of those shitheads too busy jungle.

I used him as a roamer with stun spell for EZ Early gank & guaranteed kill. But i struggle maintaining pace till late game like people are too afraid to go when I engage. Any tips or guide for roaming liu bang?
Also I copied the build that you shared in the community section it's so comfy with the triple stun tho
when it comes to the late game you probably have to take it slow
since it's really hard to make a mistakes

@@ThejindraBhujel For semi damage, the only magic item you need is Breakthrough Robe that give Bonus magic and bonus magic pierce based on your total HP. Augur's Word is not worth in my opinion.
For his Ultimate you can cast then tap again to immediately transport to ally. Doing instant tele however remove any shield from your ally but you deal AoE magic damage instead.
So slow tele for saving and instant tele for damage.

@@kyouitv Maybe that player too focused on Liu Bang passive (bonus 100% from total physical & bonus 80% from total magic) and forgot that his other skill is pure scaling magic damage.
@@farzwolf2 No, they probably just blindly follow the "default" builds from the game, which have Pure Sky in them. Tbf, the reason Pure Sky was there is probably for its passive + active ability that reduce opponent's dmg, thus improving Liu Bang's survivability, though it's way better to buy other def item instead of Pure Sky

I still have yet to see liu bang ban in grandmaster, dunno man seems like it will be like ziya, people assume he will be perma ban but nope Augran who where nerf recently is still banned than him(he is still pretty new tho, so will see).

Tbh I've tried him and he's just not very good.. hes only good when you can turn the tide of your teammates 1v1 in early game with his ult.. but mid to late game his one stun is all he as and it's a short stun.. he provides nothing honestly

@@x_GHOST_x Yeah, she works like Yaria but a lot more active due to her mobility. Being Augran/Da Siming's couple might also be the reason for her popularity on top of her being a new hero. Keep in mind that she got released in CN just a few days after Augran's release in global, so my previous point is even stronger

It's seriously a trash hero. His ultimate is the only good things he has but its cd is too much. They must reduce by 5-10sec. Also they should add increase His passive like make it double. 😂Nobody bans him when I play rank.

Isn't his kit completely the same in both version ? Tbf, there are a lot more heroes to choose in CN, so the meta strats and picks are probably different, in which case Liu Bang might have better matchup there compared to global version

@@AIIXIII0 No, Allain is also in CN version, though from what i've seen from gameplays in some YT channels, he's kinda overshadowed by Ma Chao. That doesn't mean that he's weak though, just underrated (which is pretty wild with how popular he is in global)
