Yeah I'm sure a pro player playing in tournaments didn't know about void staff existing. Good thing youtube commenters can teach him these useful tricks.
@@100fifos I'm NOT talking about the void staff (which gives 40% magic penetration, not 30%), I'm talking about the Bloodletter's Curse(Reduces enemy MR by 5%, maximum of 6 stacks totaling 30%), this item is practically a Black Cleaver for mages, it would be much better than Shadowflame which ignores a maximum of 25 flat MR. And an additional: this item gives 70 AP, 30 armor, 30 MR and 15 cdr, this is much better for a Sylas. And it's not because he's a pro player that he will know 100% of the game, after all he made a mistake when buying the void staff and then exchanging it for perplexity, everyone makes mistakes and I believe everyone likes to receive tips to improve, even from less experienced people like me.
Curse augments are so feast or famine sometimes, but snowballs so hard when you get two or more on your team. I got Desecrator(Curse on CC, 10% Curse as MR/AR), Deathtouch(Curse on AA, 24% Curse as on-hit) and Plaguebearer(Curse nearby, 100% Curse as HP) on Leona. Ended the game as a 10k HP, 600 AR/MR, ~300+ AD/AP self-sustaining tank. I don't believe there is any normal counterplay to that except for your stall strats.
A roa champion with wisdom of ages could be interesting, you’d get a ton of base stats, maybe on a juggernaut or bruiser champion for the most benefit?
Base statuses are not so decisive in this mode, we have enhancements that give us 5k life, others that give 500+ AP, a lot of AD, a lot of armor and MR, a lot of healing, etc., these base level statuses are not so decisive. I've faced many who took Wisdom of Ages, several levels ahead and still couldn't beat a Slow Cooker, a Doomsayer, Magic Missile, Infernal Conduit, Mystic Punch, Marksmage and many others.
@@richardtx46depends on the champ imo, some have insane level scaling, like Illaoi who can typically get to 900+ base damage slams with Wisdom of Ages, before even accounting in Q bonuses.
Do you think riftmaker is viable over ROA on these attrition mages? I've been defaulting it for a while cuz brain sees "omnivamp" and releases serotonin but ive been starting to question it cuz how well you do with ROA on basically any champion.
biggest thing about ROA is the fact that you get mana back. true attrition, at least in my opinion, is being able to gain all of your resources back by existing and surviving. riftmaker's great and you could probably combo it with some mana items or augments to go infinite but you would rather that on a single item than rely on more than multiple things. although take this with a grain of salt because i'm just making observations and not pulling statistics from anywhere.
@@rich-qm4sy this, and with sylas he needs mana for that w which is healing way more than riftmaker omnivamp. I think sylas is one of the few ap fighters you would go ROA over rift with
Do you think you'll be playing Project Loki when it comes out? I've been seeing the developer's notes on it and it seems like it'd be right up your alley
You should try microwave khazix, if you get slowcooker/infernal conduit, get sunfire and evolve ult to stand close to people and cook them, iirc evo ult in arena has 4 casts
man idk about the build what was hextech and shadowflame exaclty doing here? this was such an item diff if you had built morello or thornmail for fiora instead of shadowflame as last item and had taken anything else like rabadon's for more raw ap on your w that you had extra 200 cd with instead of hextech it was free
idk how many people you shadow ban but I rarely see the negative comments you mention so much. I hope they aren't upsetting you too much bc the thumbnail is pretty intense ngl. Great video as always
i used to play a game where you had to have very low ping to do this building mechanic, which was that you could sprint straight through the air while building blocks beneath you; it was a little bit ping-to-win. "block n load" btw, but the game got ruined after a questionable company bought it from jagex. it was a low populated game that went fully dead after the new company made extremely bad changes. good times. i would still be playing it to this day if jagex hadn't sold their ownership to toadman interactive. TLDR low ping is impactful indeed.
Ive enjoyed your videos for years although winning is the only way I have fun. I’m a very competitive soul and it can be quiet the mood killer. I don’t like that about myself either, I wish I could change but I know after deep introspection that I probably won’t.
People with high ping dont understand the struggle, went from 8 to 65 on pbe it was horrible. I feel like I can see the future in comparison on live now.
will get back to regular uploads and cooks soon - dw i kept all your suggestions in mind

A tip: there is a very strong item that reduces 30% of the enemy's magic resistance, it would be better than shadow flame in this build

I think you’re correct I would have gone bloodletters and v staff or perplexity depending on the total hp of the enemies here
hey nidhogg whats ur opinion on bloodletter as a mpen alternative to void and perplexity?
Love the insight and I love the thumbnail.

The SoloQ stuff is a nice switch from the 'co-op' games. Play for fun VS play for win. Both have their entertainment values so it's nice to get both.

have you ever gotten plaguebearer and doomslayer on the same team? got to 4k ap with it oO

can someone point me towards any resources explaining the major changes between this arena and last arena? also is arena still an LTM or is staying?

dude i cant control where i live, pbe servers are in na and everyone outside na has 120-200 ping. 70 ping is pretty good compared to it.
Can you confirm if laser eyes used to proc on skill effects but no longer does ty
not sure
Full AD Rhaast is my guilty pleasure in this tbh
hit jeweled lotus and yeah that r would one shot anything even the 12k hp mundos XD
Fiora has better R number. Rhaast & Udyr is for the low apm I guess

Im iron in a summoners rift so getting high rank in arena makes me feel a little better.
going from 30 to 80 is sooooo fucked lmfao so i know exactly what you mean
eye lazer on malz would be strong, but i think malz sucks for arena ( bronze 19 opinion )
i hate playing against Red Kayn, it's my perma ban

play singed to spam e :3
