Better to apply it to the wall directly without plastering. It bonds well with your wall. Waste of money if you plasteri.

​@@Fired_Claythis is very wrong. You have to do plastering whether smooth or rough plastering, you still have to do your plastering...
Now this is because, the layer of Graffiato we do on the wall is not thick enough to cover and straighten all the undulating surfaces that you have. Mostly it is the plastering that is used to straighten your wall and cover all imperfections before any decorations like painting or Graffiato is done. If you want to use the Graffiato straight on the wall without plastering, then be ready to spend because you will be using the Graffiato to straighten and correct all the imperfections on the wall before you will even start decorating the wall

Yes pls you have to do plastering on the wall. To save cost, you can make the plastering light on the wall or rough but you have to plaster the wall first

And how long does this Graffiato last on walls ? My father did a type of terazo on our house I am not sure if it's the same Graffiato but it has lasted us almost 35 years. Just recently it has started peeling off .

I am based in Accra, Graffiato is quite new and duration varies depending on various factors but if all things being and your Graffiato is of good quality, it shouldn't last anything less than 15yrs. Hello Mahad, thank you for the comment. First of, I want to know if Graffiato paint is gaining ground in Uganda and if people are using it. If they are, then it will be easy to get clients who are ready to pay for the service if it's not popular in Uganda, then you need to do more work on getting people to develop the interest first.
But with regards to pricing, here in Ghana, when you buy the product, the painter/applicators charge either by the number of buckets you buy or by square meter. A bucket is between Ghc40 to Ghc80. But a square meter is Ghc10. I don't know how your currency works in Uganda, but I hope this answer can help you make a decision.

You have to either scrape the paint off or you can use a type of primer known as stabilising primer... That will help to condition the wall before u apply the Graffiato...

My house grafiatto lasted only 2 years and it started to peel off and fall in pieces. I dont have any idea why.

Graffiato is not supposed to peel off just like that., And if even it wants to come off, it will give you signs which can help you to put measures in place to stop that from happening. There are reason why this can happen.,
1. Your wall is suffering from dampness. If your wall is suffering from dampness there is a greater chance your Graffiato will peel off.
2. In the case of damp walls, your wall has to be treated before you apply your Graffiato. Failure to do that will lead to your Graffiato peeling off.
3. Poor quality Graffiato
4. Bad/wrong way of application etc.
All of the above can make your Graffiato peel off.

I am sorry t will not stop water vapour from rising up from the ground from the very first 3courses of block laid up or on the foundation you must add a water bass paint when dried will be like a rubber the call it black jack I believe that it is Ghana now or you must lay a thin plastic you call rubber all over the foundation before you put the concrete floor that will stop water vapour rising up through the ground and through the blocks and the mortar these has to be done first but now where I am I have seen that you can drill holes form inside the house at the bottom of the tiled floor and put some chemical in that will stop the water vapour from rising
