I didn't expect much to be honest when this video popped up i have never heard of you guys until just now. I was a teenager in the 80's and had the privilege to see Ronnie up close. In my opinion the 80's had the best music in all genre's. I was absolutely blown away by the band but what really got my attention was the singers powerful amazing talented voice. I'm certain that if Ronnie was still with us he would be blown away by your voice. I think he would ask to do a duo with you pretty lady. Keep up the great work guys you are keeping great 80's music relevant and ALIVE

This is a very straight cover of the Black Sabbath original, so no great surprises, but it's very well done, from musicianship to performance. The song is treated with reverence and performed from the heart, and benefits from modern production. No one could cover this fine tune any better than this. Even if you love the original, this is a must-own. My Score: Excellent 5*
My mother is 70 and was a flautist in rockbands back in the sixties when she was very young. She really teared up that outro made her smile. Flutes need to come back. No longer just the kids that rock, all the hard work paying off.

Outstanding rendition of one of my favorite Sabbath songs. I was at the show in July 1980 when they performed it in Seattle on the famous 'Black and Blue Tour'. I was 20 yrs old at the time and serving in the US Navy. Time flies! Great job on the song Liliac!!!!
Wow! I was supposed to see that same show/ tour in Denver. Sabbath cancelled at the last minute due to someone being sick. Some local group ended up opening up for BOC.
Your band is OUT of this World. Not easy to belive all the family is playing in a world class level. And Melody, with her powerful voice, inherits the most beautiful tones of RJD and Janis Joplin.

Ronnie is my favorite performer of all time and this is one of my very favorite songs and she is the only person I have ever heard cover Dio that I like and the rest of the band is super talented as well

Every video, people comment on Melody's voice. That's fine, its terrific. But more than that, Abby's drumming is phenomenal. She is an absolute powerhouse of percussion. Then there is Samuel; how have they managed to keep him? His guitar work could see him signed to any number of bands that might need a guitarist. And both Ethan and Justin have tremendous skill with their chosen instruments. Do not overlook the talent of the whole band.

I had pretty much given up on rock music for a long time until I stumbled across them by chance on UA-cam! They are absolutely magnetic! They just keep delivering at every turn! I'm glad to be around to witness this! They've given me hope for the future of rock music!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Melody is in her element when she sings Dio. It's really down to that. She would knock it out of the park doing Rainbow/Sabbath/Dio covers. That's actually how I became a fan, because she was the only one I've ever seen mimic the magic I felt hearing him.

So I was actually chuckling when this came up on my feed and I immediately wrote you guys off as some dumb kids with no talent and thought I would watch for a laugh.. then I caught myself nodding my head a bit. Then the vocals started to impress.. a minute or so in and I was definitely not laughing, in fact I was kinda rocking out.. then the guitar solo started and I was like, "ahh, he's probably just gonna finger tap for 7 or 8 seconds and that would be it." BUT YOU TRICKED ME! Dude commences to shove his guitar straight down my fucking throat til I couldn't even breath anymore! And when I thought it was over and done, that's when he REALLY turned up the heat. Jesus Christ, man. Absolutely epic. And the flute solo at the end?!?! Fuckin' A my guys you KILLED IT. Don't know why...but this rendition of a metal classic puts a smile on my face. I've watched the video four times now. Great friggin' job! Side note...I was in a band back in 1994 that got to open for Dio at a club in St. Louis called Mississippi Nights. He and his crew were all so very nice and accommodating...to this day, I still have the back-stage pass from that show.
Melody’s voice is great, for a very young girl , she does have a very unique voice, and to have all her own siblings as band members add more spices to their music.

Abby held her own on the drums back there too! Nice thing about Sabbath songs with Dio as well as Dio solo, they incorporated keyboards a lot in the songs so it gives Justin something besides just doing fills...let his talent shine.

I was just a kid when this song came out. So I've heard too many versions of this song to even begin to number them all. This was absolutely my favorite beyond the original. Great interpretation/modernization of the song. The video was cool too. The lead singer knows how to use her hands, arms and body to emote. She also did some old school moves with the mic stand. I really appreciated that. Her voice though? Wow. I would not have thought those notes at the end were even in her range. Incredible! I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Thank you. ❤

That's a fantastic way to think about it. Schools deliberately teach classical music and many other genres of music but the musical establishment has always put down hard rock and heavy metal so we cannot count on them to give a damn so it takes these sort of things to keep it alive @@geordiejohnston9815

WWWHHHAAATTTT?!?!? So I was actually chuckling when this came up on my feed and I immediately wrote you guys off as some dumb kids with no talent and thought I would watch for a laugh.. then I caught myself nodding my head a bit. Then the vocals started to impress.. a minute or so in and I was definitely not laughing, in fact I was kinda rocking out.. then the guitar solo started and I was like, "ahh, he's probably just gonna finger tap for 7 or 8 seconds and that would be it." BUT YOU TRICKED ME! Dude commences to shove his guitar straight down my fucking throat til I couldn't even breath anymore! And when I thought it was over and done, that's when he REALLY turned up the heat. Jesus Christ, man. Absolutely epic. And the flute solo at the end?!?! Fuckin' A my guys you KILLED IT. I am now a Liliac fan I guess. I've been listening to heavy metal for almost 40 years now and I thought it was dead among today's youth. I consider myself proven wrong

Don't know why...but this rendition of a metal classic puts a smile on my face. I've watched the video four times now. Great friggin' job! Side note...I was in a band back in 1994 that got to open for Dio at a club in St. Louis called Mississippi Nights. He and his crew were all so very nice and accommodating...to this day, I still have the back-stage pass from that show.

Melody’s voice is great, for a very young girl , she does have a very unique voice, and to have all her own siblings as band members add more spices to their music.
Man she had that voice at 14. Not sure that the 14 yo version of her voice was a little more "rock" in it than now.

Abby held her own on the drums back there too! Nice thing about Sabbath songs with Dio as well as Dio solo, they incorporated keyboards a lot in the songs so it gives Justin something besides just doing fills...let his talent shine.

Yep, these kids blow me away . I came across them looking to listen to Rainbow in the Dark, and it just happened to be within a matter of days after they released their cover; if Ronnie James was reincarnated into a girl.
Not only do they do mind-blowing covers but they make their own original songs, that feels like they are channelling all of the great bands They just released a new video today "Rise Up" Now I'm bing watching their videos. There is no wonder in my mind why they are called The First Family Of Rock.

I was just a kid when this song came out. So I've heard too many versions of this song to even begin to number them all. This was absolutely my favorite beyond the original. Great interpretation/modernization of the song. The video was cool too. The lead singer knows how to use her hands, arms and body to emote. She also did some old school moves with the mic stand. I really appreciated that. Her voice though? Wow. I would not have thought those notes at the end were even in her range. Incredible! I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Thank you. ❤

I've been a metal head since the beginning of it all....this band is really gonna make...love the covers and it shows their talents...what I really love is their originals that they write....takes a real talent to to be able to write and play this genre of music...very few ever really make it....I've got my money on this band.....ROCK ON!!!!

Ronnie's Widow, Wendy Dio, is apparently a fan too. She asked Liliac to perform for the Ronnie James Dio Cancer fund. That in itself is a HUGE honor! I also heard Vinnie Appice had some pretty good things to say as well about them.

I hadn't heard of this band before June 1, 2024, at The Music Factory, Battle Creek MI. Been trying to find their music online and listening to it all.
I’m extremely impressed! Young metal at its best! As I’m a 51 year old who’s older sister was into old 80’s metal and I grew up with it. I sent it to her just now in a text and said you gotta check out these kids they are awesome! You guys rock ! Keep going!

That's a fantastic way to think about it. Schools deliberately teach classical music and many other genres of music but the musical establishment has always put down hard rock and heavy metal so we cannot count on them to give a damn so it takes these sort of things to keep it alive @@geordiejohnston9815

For anyone doubting Liliac sounds like this live... they do. We've seen them live 3 times, and they ARE this good. Almost wants to make me take my basses out to the fire pit and burn 'em. Do yourselves a favor and go see them in concert - you will NOT regret it.
