My father flew P-3s. I can still run threw the whole startup sequence with all the times sitting in the cockpit with him as a little kid
Through
@@JesusFriedChrist really is that all you have to do how sad you must be.
My dad used to fly the P-3 Orion over Afghanistan
My dad used to fly Virginia class submarine in the canals of Afghanistan...
Love these mini docs. Short, insightful and concise. Keep them coming. Mini doc on the YF-23 would be cool...
Was a flight engineer on P-3s A, B, and C models, with 10,000+ flight hours. And have been in several encounters soviet interceptors. The soviet pilots were always super aggressive
Please do more of these, love the mini docs!
I am loving this channel!!!!!
I really like this new format, very nicely presented. Keep them coming!
I'm your very loyal follower GS. I wish you'd keep eyes more on the comments and make contents according to public interest. Best of luck for your new journey ❤️
Thank you brother much love. Thank you for your support.
It would've been helpful for you to include what the public interest is in according to the commenters and what minidoc you'd like GS to make.
GS I’m loving this channel I’m a big history fan especially when it involves military aircraft I’ve been one since I was old enough to realize what airplanes were all about I guess because my dad was in the air force during the Korean conflict thanks for all you do you have the best videos in gaming and now in the history of these conflicts from one of your biggest fan.
I remember when the first pictures of the flanker broke. I was in air defense and there was a mad scramble to try and get recognition materials because it looks so much like an f-14/15/18
Well done. Well narrated
I'm thoroughly enjoying the new channel, very interesting content. Keep going with both channels, Growling Sidewinder is excellent as well.
Another kick ass video.
Straight digging the content
How about a story on the f15 that was chased away by su27? Would love it.
SS3. operator VP 4 Hawaii 78-79. N aerial encounters, but plenty of ship tracking.
So as i heard from Russian version: Su-27 tried to intercept P-3, P-3 pilots tried to stal Su-27 ending stalling themself and falling on flying under Su-27 vetical stabilizer damaging both planes
Memories, thanks : )
Yo GS can you cover the 2001 Hainan Island Incident where a Chinese J-8II and an US EP-3 collided? If there's enough footage for it of course
hey hey, ya I'll look into it, footage will be the lim fac tho as you said, if possible I'll put it in the pipeline.
Having watched a lot of your other channel, when the SU-27 moved under the Orion I was anticipating "the cobra" to be the cause of the accident.
The Russian pilot intention was to have fun and scare the Orion crews. He actually did two intercepts, coming from below and in front of the Orion. On his second attempt, he fucked it up and got too close.
They both had a few too many vodkas
ussr: could i just have a better jet than you for one second? america: no
This basically can be reduced to road rage in the skies. Pretty reprehensible considering the potential consequences.
Can we get a vid on the A6 intruder? It’s my favorite Jet
I have an aircraft book from the 80s where it does described the new secret Russian aircraft looking like a cross between a Mig-31 and Mig-29
I am curious as to who took the picture/video that captured the moment the Flanker hit the Orion. I would have to guess it was another Russian jet, as they would typically have a wingman.
The picture you see is an illustration and not the actual photograph of the situation. There used to be a video tape circulating the internet, but that was filmed by the Orion crew, where the video show the collision
2023, Flankers still crashing into foreign planes during intercepts.
This would be a cool P-3 durability vid if you also include the other P-3 that had the same thing happen (but with the ChiComs) over in the Pacific, almost two decades later.
Can a turboprop really chase and keep up with a pure jet?( Orion vs A-50)
its the fastest prop driven aircraft at sea level
There is no debate between fault when you have a large turboprop vs state of the art jet fighter in physical contact. P3 was there first. SU27 flew insanely too close, underneath, and was the plane to make contact.
The Russian/Chinese planes are ALWAYS the aggressive unprofessional ones.
NATO forces don't take those sort of risks.
Similar incident happened again
Well, this week there was another incident, in the Black Sea, involving America and a Russian Su-27, historu repeats itself :)
Russia builds a new F-15 killer every 10 years and the US's response is always "lol add more missile racks and a letter"
Well... Every russian F-15 killer is basically a Flanker with new radar and somewhat modernized engines
What were the kill stars for?
Warcrimes, probably.
Ruskies and ChiComs do this shit all the time.
