I'm about to get my first set of Rosemary brushes and I'm so excited, I'm buying them later tonight it's just too bad i won't get them for likely weeks. I had to make sure I'm buying over $140 worth of brushes to be worth it and that's because the cost to ship them over here to the states is so dang high. Just the shipping and taxes alone will likely be about $35-40 obviously the more you spend the higher the amount. Sad things is i would have likely bought them long ago, instead other lesser quality companies/brushes have gotten my money due to shipping. You can just forget about buying one or two brushes and paying 20-$25 extra on a 5-$10 brush or even a 20-$40 brush is crazy.
I once stayed in a B&B where they had an original DC painting on a corridor. Reproductions don’t do full justice to the depth of his talent IMO. On a different tack, the art world (public galleries etc) infuriate me somewhat. Instead of mounting major exhibitions of artists like David, Ken Howard, Olwyn Bowey etc, they increasingly go in for overtly modernistic or political stuff, that whilst being interesting, is not what I would go out of my way for. The stuff I like tends to be in the hands of a few private/elite dealers, who seem to operate outside of the ‘art world’.
David is a master. His work is breathtaking when you see it in real life...
I completely agree...

I love David Curtis paintings! Would love to meet him in person. Rosemary brushes are top class. Can't work without my beloved The Tisch daggers!
David will be at Patchings in Calverton in July if you are in the UK.
I’m so excited to try my new Rosemary Brushes. A delight to meet Rosemary at the Plein Air Convention in Cherokee. She advised me on which to get.
Thank you, Laura! :)
Nice!
