- As one of the first tech trees introduced to the game, the IS-7 certainly has a rich history in World of Tanks Blitz. This tank, and the tech tree on a whole, has seen many ups and downs over the years. However, it has always remained one of the most reliable and played tech trees in the game. Today, I will be showcasing these Soviet heavy tanks to demonstrate how they perform and how I play them on average.

Is3 is solid, but everything pens the front, you need to use your side armor and speed to do well
Got this tank last month and it’s wonderful, I finally found a decent to great T10 heavy tank. It’s a great tank with great armour, speed and dmg ratio. Got a much more survival rate with it, the bouncing of shells even from the 183 makes it a fun tank to play with

The IS-7 has become a damn beast. I researched and bought the tank today and the first round was 1 kill, 5553 damage and the BZ 58 full HP ammo racked. The armor is really amazing, coupled with the super mobility and the very well performing cannon with a strong penetration, the IS-7 is in my opinion one of the top 3 heavy tanks at tier X. And the design of this tank is amazing, it looks soooo sexy...Hrrrr

@@shadow_entity9191 Well I'd rather not call out any names but I've watched several wotb UA-cam's over the years and there are a few that just get downright nasty if they dont think their team is doing what it should be doing and calling out bad players. Its unnecessary in my opinion and just makes these guys look ridiculous. Its a free to play game so what do they expect? Could be an 8 year old kid or younger they are playing with or against. It's just very immature behavior in my opinion. Happy tanking!

I never encountered any other WotB UA-camr who rages at teams. I don't mind a small comment here or there because it can be a bit frustrating sometimes but I've never watched anyone who outright raged at others
@@shadow_entity9191 The game definitely gets frustrating at times. I think some of the anger coming from these guys is relative to how much money they have invested. Some of these guys have thousands if dollars wrapped up in this game, spending hundreds if dollars on one tank! Thats not really a problem I guess. If you enjoy something by all means spend some money, collect the tanks. Just don't expect everyone playing to have the same attitude and investment that you do.

i think the IS-7 gun would be insane if it had the IS8 top gun with 460 alpha. Cause it has Kran’s level of penetration
for me the USSR and germany are strong germany has heavy guns and armor but slow in USSR also has heavy guns and heavy armor those two countrys are the best in wot blitz
The KV1s got a reload buff recently while the battle bass one (Thunder) didn't, making the thunder kinda useless

Thunder has better armour, and looks better 😉
At least those ate differents tanks now :D and the thunder is the most nice looking tank out there

IS-7 got WoT (PBR if I recall correctly) files and with that it got an armor buff.
I wonder if same will happen to Obj. 260? It has much better armor in WoT than in WoTB.
No it will not apply. Even the armor of IS-7 thickness didn't change. It just got petter Angles

With everything going with IS-8, it's logical brother would be Obj-260, right? If you think about it, IS-7 is like an impostor in this tech tree. 260 should be the top of this tree, not IS-7.
Logically the IS-8 is the imposter, every other tank in the line has armor.
@@M1ZUH4RA do they? I don't play T7 so I don't know how effective the armour of IS is, but I don't remember it being too effective due to power creeps. The IS3 also seems to get penned even with AP by same tier tanks. I play only Chimera, FV301, IS5 and 6 and some TDs and have no issue penning the pike hull of IS3. I know IS-8 is the weakest in armour but IMO IS-7 just stands put too much with its armour for its tier.
@@tsarbomb_chan2537 then it’s a skill issue if the is3 player gets themselves killed. Tier for tier every tank in the line has armor+mobility. Whereas the is8 only has mobility

The thing is, the trick with yelling RUSSIA doesm't work against Soviet or Sovietesque tanks. They are countered by Russian biased armour RNG

Forget the IS8, The tragedy is to the movement to the already slow ST-I. Lame ass #Wartgaming.
You are the sort of heavy player that drives me insane. You are playing it the same as you would play a medium or TD.
When I am playing a heavy the stat to try and maximize is bounces rather than damage. The more that you can make the other team shoot at you and miss/bounce the better you are doing your job. If you are just another poke and fire player, you are letting the enemy focus down the tanks with better dpm/accuracy/penetration.
Imagine that you have a traditional MMO with tank/dps/healing. Well, we have no healing, but as the "Tank" you need to "aggro" the enemy, so that they focus on you, with your superior armor and hit pts, while the dps does the damage. It will hurt your WN8, it will improve your win rate. Obviously, don't do it to the point you die, once you get to be a 2 shot, pull back and let the next heavy take over.
