- Xiao Qi Ji seems to have settled into a regular routine of pacing restlessly as he awaits the door openings for his next fresh, tasty snack. Just like Mama Mei, now taking laps repeatedly around her new yard as she waits for snacks. Sometimes he'll somersault atop the rockwork or lay with his head on paws expectantly facing the door. He found a bit of adventure early Wednesday morning chasing a squirrel to the hammock @ 9:11. It was crowded with visitors so Papa Tian seemed shy sitting with his back facing us eating boo and shunning his carrots.
I was stuck at work on Thursday morning while Qi Ji was having the best play time ever zooming & rolling around all over the place. Such a pity I couldn't record it in person. When I arrived during lunch break, he was already finished playing. So I captured more of the whole family pacing in front of doors & gobbling up goodies. It was fun seeing our Miracle eat from the straw filled blue rocker @ 13:54. Then he did a bit of wiggle worm acrobatics on the hammock @ 18:35 & climbed trees. Papa was enjoying biscuits @ 26:30 while Mama munched boo under the hammock in room 4.

So much activity in today’s footage - plenty of snacking & mowing through Boo, also lots of pacing, as well as in & out’s between the panda house & their yards. Such a busy Panda family .. Oh I sure do get a workout at the panda house! You know it, been there done that. Even more pacing with constant ins & outs re-checking that snacks didn't magically appear when they weren't looking 😂 So I captured all 3 doing that for half an hour. My extreme fomo motivates me to continue chasing them through it all! I'm feeling somewhat better. Hope you have a wonderful week too Caroline!😍💕🐼

I like your vivid video. Qi ji, Mei, and Tian tian are all enjoying their panda lives. 🐼🐼🐼 Doesn't Mei forget that she has been with her cub for the past two and a half years? Qi ji learned everything he needed as a panda under his mom. Tian tian and Mei are old now, so I hope they get along comfortably. Moving to China will cause stress...😢
Mei & Tian will finally get to return to China end if this year and we will miss them so much! I think the move will cause stress, just wish we could see them on Webcam anytime after they move😍💕🐼

How do they know that Qi Ji isn't missing his mom?
They don't know that. No one can read his mind. He displays certain behavior at times that seems like he's expecting to see mom again 😢
Wonderful video! 🐼♥️. Do you have any idea if Mei and Qi Ji can hear each other talking? I'm just wondering based on what your able to hear through the glass. I haven't ever been there when he was chatty. 😁
I don't know if they can hear each other. One time Mei bleated so loudly in the yard that Qi Ji stopped & looked around, then climbed up & down his tree. He doesn't react anxiously fortunately 😍💕🐼

One important thing we will miss. Rolling and somersaults in the snow. Unless we get one of those late snow. Then we get one more look before the parents go back. As far as XQJ is concerned, wasn't there a statement more than two years ago that his future was still to be determined? Or has there been a recent update?
Oh wow yes it hardly snowed around here this winter lol maybe we'll still get some yet. Hoping for late snow! It certainly was cold enough today. Yeah I remember the statement & the director mentioned the possibility of keeping Qi Ji is still unknown at the last seminar with Rubinstein. She hinted at maybe China will send a girl panda over to be his mate. Just waiting to hear definitive news of this being true!😍💕🐼

We have been hit with a major set back, our sister in law was hit by a car and they do not know if she is going to make it. Thank you for the smiles. Thank you all for your well wishes, unfortunately Mary did not make it. My brother can really use the prayers now as he feels it was his fault.

Mom and dad will return to China at the end of this year and live in a nice retirement home. I heard they will receive the best care & lots of pampering😍💕🐼
