Apparently the Dagestani fighters have a massive social media following in the millions, enough to treat Mr. Mendez like a celebrity in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Chances are high any future fighters from those regions will flock to AKA in San Jose in the near future and that gym only grows exponentially.

Khabib finished early to give islam a chance, islam will fight 2 more years then usman will go for a few years. Khabib is navigating all the brothers in the right way.

Why Not......this is for the the knowledge that you can beat anyone that is put in front of you weight class wise. I pick Usman every time. He seems to be the most complete fighter I have watched. Speed ability EVERYWHERE and artistry. Not just brute force and Dag wrestling. Who know, but fighters on that level can choose who they wont fight based on whatever they want. yet FANS exist for a reason... I would watch that one on repeat. Usman every time.

Grappling and cardio of usman is no where near khabib's level. Usman's strking might be better but he lacks in striking defence and lacks the mind set that khabib had. I get it that he is not in his prime but his style doesn't show the utter dominance and agressiveness that khabib had. Usman is not khabib 2.0 he is khabib 0.5 may be. You don't have to be an expert to analyse their differences.

Usman is 24. He still has a lot of time to grow. Judge him when he is 30.
Even Islam looked not that good at 24. But look at him now. You are comparing a prime Khabib Vs amateur Usman.
And Khabib's style was putting pressure on opponents and tire them out. Not everyone has the same style. Some want to finish the fight quickly. Like Islam.
And elite fighters have the ability to make everything look so easy that one starts questioning their ability. Which you are doing as well.

And it WAS dominance. Dominance is not always in terms of ground and pound. Judges scored it overwhelmingly in favour of Usman.
