He literally had full access to rimarus magic. Essentially every one of his subordinates is a minor/major copy of him, skill wise. I suspect Raphael had a hand in this too...

Since Rimuru ascension to true demon lord....Benimaru power as a Kishin increased exponentially. a complete Caribdis can be damaged severally now. This Caribdis is a lower version compared to the one Milim Nava defeated with no effort.
Remember: Any magical attack used on Charybdis is greatly weakened. It’s like that moment a boss becomes a mob enemy!

Oh yeah, you're right, when he used great sage take-over, she stopped the orc lords regeneration by cutting his arm off with black flames, its just that when fully revived charybdis appeared the first time no one was strong enough at the time to be able to cut through its scales(I mean, at the time, black lightning was rimurus strongest skill, amd when he used it, the damage shown was less than miniscule)

So, something like half-arsed summoning a boss mob, and getting his little brother on the controls, also he doesn’t know why anyone would bother investing in HP or Defense but would otherwise be just as dangerous.

@@Yoshi-JDLH yeah you're right, just because milim is the one who destroyed it, doesn't mean it's catastrophe class, it was just said to he as strong as a demon lord but without a will of its own, and when milim first appeared and the kijins collectively attacked her, right after benimaru and Soueis combo, she said that it mightve worked against any of the other demon lords, meaning that it could've injured a regular demon lord, and after rimurus evolution, all his subordinates have gotten significantly stronger, as in, strong enough to take on a few demon lords

As others said, Clayman isnt particularly powerful by himself. He poses a threat because of his puppetry skill which Rimuru, or rather Raphael/Great Sage, has already found a way to deal with.

At Walpurgis he didn't fight Clayman cuz "if I fight you it would be like bullying the weak and I am not a fan of that". Rimuru let Shion have the fun of beating Clayman like a sandbag. She was more of a demon lord than the "real" demon lord (only in name). And to be honest even with "just" Shion beating Clayman it was bullying the weak.

Apparently his goal wasn’t to win. Rimuru wanted him to fight the clowns to try and gather intel on why they’re so strong. Being that Geld can tank a lot of damage, he’s like the best one for the job
