My Gawd...im writing this comment after picking up my jaw from the floor...Shankar ji has hit this one out of the park here...i dont even have the words to describe how stellar of a performance he has given and for him, it seemed like usual business. Good lord, this is what actual talent sounds like. Hats off!
Extremely rare to have such out of the world combo of immensely talented composers - that is this trio!! They complement each other so well! Blessed to have heard and enjoyed their creations and looking forward to many more! 👌

Ehsaan and loy are equally important as shanker. Do you know that Loy was the one who composed Kal ho na ho tune in a cafe, inspired to create something like My heart will go on. All three turned this tune into what we know as a song. ❤
That time was ruled by legends like Anu Malik(Border, Main Hoon Na, Jaan-e-Mann, Asoka, Fiza, Virasat, Munna Bhai MBBS, etc), Nadeem-Shravan(Dhadhkan, Raaz, Andaaz).....today, idiots like Tony Kakkar, Badshah, DJ Tanishq Bagchi are ruling...so difference can be observed
Earlier music conposer got to compose with the movie scenario from scratch not knowing what may come out , I think now movie producer only needs something similar which is already in the market. Art is missing only business.

I think you are inspired here by this live version of Mitwa but don't forget that music director was Shanker himself and he prefers Shafqat over him he could have sung by himself but he didn't. What I feel is that the Shafqat voice was more suited and powerful as playback for this song on screen as he has more range and he belongs to a classical singing family. Shanker's voice is no doubt also fantastic but it lacks the range which Shafqat have.
Not many people appreciate the level of backing from Ehsaan and Loy. They are in the same level of Shankar.
