Wow I had that metallic greeen Javelin with the the opening doors as a kid, it was one of my all time favs along with a white Detomaso Pantera. Those Matchbox cars were tough as nails.
Nice to see Matchbox from when i was a little boy in the 70's. The VW Golf i had 2 a red one and a different green one than you have. The bus i had was purplr and had a sticker on the side. The golden race car i also had the red (first one) and orange. The red race car with nummer 8 on it i also had with number 44 it came with a mbx vehicle like a hitch and tow. The police motor i had the one with chrome. The javekin i had in a differnt green and blue.. Still have them al.
Great nostalgic cars in this one. I remember that, as a kid, I loved the car, but was really bothered by the name “formula 5000”. But I can’t really remember why. Thanks as always Tyrone! 😊👍👍
The name Formula 5000 isn’t something that sat well with me either. It was another minor detail that I didn’t quite understand or agree with in the procession of the millions of things that made up life. On a good day they’re ignored with minimal energy 😂

I laugh at you passion for these MBX. I am probably just as giddy when I get a new-to-me car. The world happily sees your glee while mine is lost in privacy.

I have the orange peel Charger in the small box, its unpunched and sealed. It has an American flag on the box, never seen another.
